《Dark Roses #Wattys2019》Chapter 6

Today is Saturday, and I guess everyone is planning on sleeping over at my house today. At first my parents said no to only the guys sleeping over, but then I mentioned how there's only two guys, Danny being one of them, and we would all be downstairs in the family room. They could check on us whenever, and they know that they can trust me. After giving them a couple of minutes to decide, they called me back into their room saying yes.
I don't know how I bonded so quickly with everyone considering the fact that this is my first week of school, but I did, and I'm thankful. I think everyone will be coming around 5pm-ish today. Danny's going to come over a bit earlier though so we can go to the grocery store to get snacks for today. Other than that though, we'll order a pizza, watch some movies, and eat ice cream. It should be a nice cool chill day.
It was around 3 when Danny came over, and we were currently on our way to the store. Although I really wanted the topic of Blaire to be ignored today, I knew it couldn't. I just have so many questions to ask.
"You never told me Blaire lived right across the street from us," I said looking at him and then back at the road. I was the one driving this time.
"I know, I was trying to forget," he responded looking out the window at the mountains.
"Well I mean, all of this time you could've actually gotten to know the kid. He actually seems nice, but I get what everyone means by saying he's weird." I didn't want to mention how I went over to his house yesterday.
Danny looked at me.
"Can we just stop talking about this, And where's the music at?" Danny laughed at the end pressing the power button for the music in my car. He flipped through a lot of awful country radio stations before getting to a rap and hip hop radio station.
"This is what I'm talking about," Danny spoke starting to bump his head to the beat. Some song by Kendrick Lamar was on, and Danny was actually rapping along to the lyrics.
I laughed, I'm surprised.
We finally arrived at the grocery store and winded up buying a lot of snacks, mostly junk food, and scary movies. The total came up to being over $50 but it was okay though, my parents gave us $100 to spend on whatever we want.
I just want to make this night fun.
When we got back to my place and set everything up it was close to 5 o'clock.

Everyone should be coming soon.
Out of nowhere the doorbell rang, and I suspected it to be one of my guests, so I went to go open it. When I opened the door, there stood Tia with a superman blanket, superman pillow, and she was already in her pajamas.
"I'm ready to eat," she spoke coming inside and dropping her stuff right on the ground. I laughed.
"Hello Tia" I spoke closing the door. I quickly grabbed her stuff and brought it into the family room. When I was finished, I went into the kitchen seeing Tia and Danny eating chips and making cookies. They were gossiping about the new Purge movie that just came out.
"Totally better than all of them combined" Danny laughed putting the cookies in the oven. I hope this kid knows how to work the oven.
"You know that you're absolutely WRONG, the second movie in any movie series is always the best" Tia responded stuffing Doritos in her mouth.
"Tia chill down with the snacks you wont save enough space for the extra large pizza we're going to order," I spoke taking a seat next to her. She swallowed what was in her mouth, took a sip of her 7up, and then looked at me with big wide eyes.
"Girl, if Jackson shows up all of that pizza is going to be gone within min-utes. I'm not even being overdramatic ask that crazy kid over there," she spoke referring to Danny. He shrugged his shoulders.
"It's true" he laughed.
Time passed by and eventually Hanna showed up, then Jackson, and Nina last. She didn't come until later because it started to storm which was totally unexpected, not even mentioned in the news. My parents went out to dinner too trusting us not to do anything crazy.
They probably wont be back until late tonight.
We were all in the family room watching the insidious movies, and it was around 8 o'clock: maybe a couple of minutes past that.
When the 3rd movie finally finished, we turned the tv off and ordered an extra large pepperoni pizza from a place about 10 minutes away. I've never tried it before, but of course the reason behind that is because it's only located in this town, not anywhere else.
"Man when is this pizza going to come," Jackson spoke laying on the couch. We all looked at eachother and laughed.
"Jackson, we JUST ordered it" Hanna said laying on the floor while being on her phone.
"Well while we wait for this pizza, how about we watch another scary movie otherwise I'm going to take a nap" Tia suggested.

Thunder roared in the background causing all of us to get frightened for a little bit.
"You know, I think this would be a great place and night for scary movie like events to take place. I mean we have the big gorgeous house, a stormy night, friends hanging out with friends, the killer across the street.."
We all looked at Jackson.
"What, I'm just saying-"
"-but you don't have to say anything Jackson" Nina responded standing up going towards to window. She looked outside, then went back towards us.
"You know, I just found out Blaire lived across the street from me yesterday," I spoke sitting upwards wrapping my blanket around me. Everyone looked at me and then Danny.
"Why didn't you tell her?" Hanna questioned.
"I don't know, I just..you shouldn't talk to him Rose. I knew Allison. Our families were close and all I ever heard was her tell me how scared she was of him."
"Then why didn't she do anything about it?" I questioned. Everyone went silent.
"Maybe she did, maybe she didn't. We'll never know. Her doing something is probably what got her killed." Nina said sitting down next to Hanna.
"-I just know that kid is capable of doing a lot of things that-"
Before Danny could finish his sentence, the power completely shut off.
"Fuck you Jackson this is your fault" Tia spoke referring to what he said a couple of minutes ago.
"Hey don't blame me!"
Everyone started to go back and forth acting like little kids. It's not even that big of a deal.
Well I'm scared, especially after watching all of those scary movies, but still I have to act like the bigger person here.
"Shut up!" I shouted. Everyone went silent looking at me.
"I have flash lights upstairs, let me go get them okay? Just....chill out and don't panic." Right then and there a huge bolt of lightning struck the ground.
We all screamed.
"Okay okay okay, let me quickly go get the flashlights. They're in my room i'll be right back."
I then left the family room and went up the stairs. Lightning kept on flashing continuously in the background.
When I finally reached the top of the stairs, I ran to my room searching for the flashlights. If it wasn't for the lightning flashing in the background, everything would have been pitch black right now.
Or, maybe I could've used the flashlight on my phone if I was thinking.
However, I want to save the battery. Who knows when the power will come back on.
Entering my room, I ran to the drawer I usually keep the flashlights in. However, I couldn't find them.
The lightning stopped flashing and everything was now completely pitch black. I guess right now I just have to feel with my hands then.
As I'm feeling around, I suddenly feel a presence behind me.
"How did you find your way up here? It's pitch black," I laughed thinking it was someone from
downstairs checking up on me. There was no answer.
I finally grabbed a hold of one of the flashlights.
"Rose..." I heard an unrecognizable whisper. I stood frozen.
My heart began to race.
I clutched on to the flashlight as I heard footsteps get closer and closer to me. It was now or never.
I quickly turned around turning the flashlight on, expecting to see some unfamiliar face. But no one was there.
Lightning flashed. I turned back around grabbing the rest of the flashlights, and quickly went downstairs to the family room.
"What took you so long? We thought you died or something." Nina joked around taking a flashlight from me.
"The only people that were about to die were me and Danny, you should've seen that boy clutching onto Nina. But seriously Rose, you look like you saw a ghost." Tia added in. I shook my head. I don't know what I experienced upstairs.
"I don't know I thought I heard someone call my name upstairs. It was probably just my imagination" I spoke trying not to scare everyone even more.
"Well, let's just wait for the doorbell to ring. Whoever would have been upstairs calling your name would have escaped outside to ring the doorbell to meet you face to face and act like they're a normal human being right?"
"Jackson, what???" We all spoke at once.
With that, the doorbell rung. We all froze.
"Once again, fuck you Jackson." Tia said holding her middle fingers up.
"I'll go with you to the door Rose," Danny spoke getting up, knowing that he was the most scared out of all of us.
Hanna and Nina came behind us carrying "weapons", aka a rubber baseball bat and a glass cup.
When we reached the door, I turned to everyone holding up my pointer finger. I then slowly reached for the doorknob, and began to open it. Everyone creeped up behind me ready to charge if it was a random stranger.
I then fully opened the door, my heart beating very fast.
"Extra large pepperoni pizza delivery to Ms. Rose Adam's?"
