"Stop goofing around. Let's go." She said, as we went out the house and got inside a black BMW. Automatically, the gate opened and we're now driving on the highway.
"Where are we going?" I asked curious about our destination.
She laughed. "Secret." Here we go again.
Kayla and Don loves to play with my curiosity and enjoys watching me suffer. My curiosity would start to grow and boil within me, especially if it's not fed with the answers I'm craving for. I growled on my seat.
Surprisingly Kayla drives like a race car driver, fit for a role in fast and furious. I held on my seatbelt really tight, as she drove pass through cars in a speed of light, and I'm hoping that the engine wouldn't collapse any time soon.
After a few minutes of terrifying joy ride, I have a glimpse of the mall that seems likely to be our destination. "That's where we're going?" I pointed at the big building. Though my hand was still safely coiled on the seatbelt. She smiled and nodded.
Then she made a hard turn to the left that made me scream like I was riding a rollercoaster. "Girl. A warning would have prevented a heart attack." I panted real hard while patting my chest. She just laughed.
Sadist.
After we parked the car, I immediately got inside the mall to seek the comfort of the air conditioner. Yeah I know, I've grown to love my old enemy. It doesn't freeze my nipples like before but it still makes me fart from time to time. I apologize in advance for the people around me, when it's time to release the bomb.
"I want a donut." I said, when we're nearing a familiar store by the corner, Krispy Kreme. Without hearing her approval, I've already set my mental GPS on it.

I heard Kayla sigh on my side. "Yeah. I guess I kind of want some too." One of the things were both in common, is our sweet tooth. Though mine is not severe as hers.
We bought a dozen of original glazed donuts and a large sized iced coffee for each of us. We walked around to find the department store, because both of us have no idea where it is. Yeah, we're not familiar with this mall, yet were here. I know it sounds ironic, but it's the only place that sells winter clothes. What choice do we have?
The box of donut was already a cleaned slate and had been flushed down our stomachs when we found the store were looking for. We threw our garbage on a bin near the entrance of the store. When we walked inside, immediately my eyes was drawn to a tall figure with dark curly hair, he was on the side checking out shoes. I know for sure it was Tristan, and it was a good thing his back was on us.
I grabbed Kayla's arm. "We might need to find another store, place, or mall." I said, my eyes never left Tristan.
"Why? Were already here." She said.
And some part of me doesn't want to tell her that Tristan's here, for I'm scared that she might do something to him. Like probably throw a sleeping dart on him or shoot him with a freeze ray. I don't know really. I trust her, but sometimes I don't. And this time I have no idea what she's capable of.
"I don't like the smell of this store." I said because I can't think of any other excuses. She rolled her eyes and grabbed my arm, walking further inside. Damn. Now, I just have to trust my life on this disguise as a robber, hoping Tristan wouldn't see or recognize me.

The two of us immediately spotted the coat isle. Thank the heaves. We might be able to get out of this mall without even bumping into him. I hastily grabbed the coat my eyes fell on to. I'm always attracted to black stuff. So I got a dark one with a sleek and clean cut, and then took hold of a light brown coat, that looks like it was taken from a detective movie.
"Let's buy sweaters too." Kayla said and ushered me into another aisle.
I held my head as low as possible the whole time were wondering around this store. Some would probably think I'm suspicious enough to be a robber. Ugh. My neck is aching, like I'm looking for coins on the floor.
"Are you done? Because I am." She said and held out a pile of clothes in her hands.
I shook my head, I wasn't able to choose any sweaters yet. I looked around and then picked a white hoodie with a random design on the center. I also took a plain light blue sweater with a v-line and another one that's green. Also, I grabbed a pack of new underwear.
Kayla came back, then handed me a couple of scarf's and winter hats. "Let's pay." She said and went to the counter.
After our shopping galore, we headed back to the donut store but this time we bought three more dozens for the boys at the headquarters, and one was assorted for Don's sake.
When we were at the parking lot, Kayla left me for some last minute peeing. I was the one tasked to put all our stuff inside the trunk, well except for the donuts.
Then suddenly someone came up to me, and grabbed my arm. I looked behind and it was Tristan. I was rendered speechless by the sight of his face.
"Victoria." He said my name while panting.
I regained my composure. Then thought of deepening my voice, trying to act as a random stranger, while trying to free myself out of his hold. "Wrong person. Please let go." I said and I heard him chuckle.
"You're not fooling anyone with that voice." He stopped panting and looked straight into my eyes, or well my shades. He then slowly took it off. "We're you avoiding us?" He asked and I saw a glint of pain on his eyes.
But before I could answer, Kayla was already behind him, with what looks like a gun pointed on his side. "Get in the car." She said, he did exactly what he was told and got in on the back seat. "Vicky. Can you drive?" Kayla asked me and I nodded.
Next thing I knew, I was driving the car while constantly checking on the mirror, looking at the two that's awkwardly sitting on the back. Kayla never faltered her attention on Tristan. While the nerd was simply looking straight ahead, and his face had the biggest question mark of all. And yes, Kayla did handcuffed him.
Why do I feel like a kidnapper?

Learning synergistic skills and using teamwork, can humanity achieve an upset? If they don't, their lives are forfeit. Author's note: Chapters will be anywhere from 6k to 10k in words, varying based on the plot beats instead of specific word counts. Realistic actions and teamwork will be important aspects of my story. I'm trying something a little different in writing a realism focused litRPG, hoping to capture the essence of how real people would react to their situation. People are complex and don't always get along. I don't recommend starting the series expecting wish fulfillment tropes just because it's tagged litRPG. It's a survival story with the game settings on Hell difficulty. The plot hasn't gotten there yet, but in the future of the series I want to recreate my nostalgia of forty person raids on Ragnaros, but with the high stakes of boss battles in Sword Art Online. I also love puzzle rooms so expect one of those each book. Warnings: mild PG-rated language, graphic violence and gore, and graphic medical content.
