《The Nerd that turned out to be Vampire-ish [Wattys2015]》CHAPTER 30: Oh dear deer me.

The car came into a sudden stop, when the driver realized that I already regained consciousness, and won't stop kicking his damn chair. Though that momentary abrupt motion took me off balance and deliberately threw me out of the seat.
So now, I'm currently looking like a mummy on the car's dirty floor, with "mmmm-mmmm-mmmm" as the only words that came out my mouth. Translation: Stupid donkeys! Release me or I'll call my vampire squad.
Or I'd just probably call the police, because vampires are surprisingly weak, especially the pure and the turned ones.
Another fact I've learned while hanging out with vampires, is that they're not what we think they are. They don't have super strength like the ones we see in the movies nor can they easily throw people around. And I think there are more disadvantages of being a vampire than staying mortal.
Why? Well, pure and turned ones have higher senses than half-bloods or humans. They're like a race that's a step higher than human kind. Also they're immortal. But, because they're born with higher level of senses, their eyes for that matter are blinded with too much light, the sun, so they can't see in broad daylight. That's why they go out at night. Also, like what Divina said, they're born with a severe case of anemia, which makes them weak and dizzy most of the times considering the lack of red blood cells in their body. That's the reason why they needed an external source of blood. In short, vampires are kind of a wimpy race, physically that is, but mentally they have the upper hand. I think their brains runs more than the normal 10%, which explains Jill's talent.
So imagine living a life where you can't do sunbathing? It's a good thing half-bloods can enjoy the best of both worlds.
Okay. My thoughts have drifted too far from my current situation. So, back to being kidnapped...

The girl on the passenger's seat turned to me. "If you don't want to get your puny ass kicked. Behave yourself." Her tone was cold as ice yet sharp at the end, like a cold stake that's been marinated in the freezer. It pierced right through me and left a shiver down my spine. I wonder if she's a member of the mafia.
Even with the low lighting from the streetlight ahead, I was able to make up her features. Mafia girl is a dashing brunette, with pixie-cut hair and a Barbie face, she looks like Beyoncé's younger version.
Mafia girl got off the car, went to the back seat, and helped me out of my weird position. Now I'm sitting with my back pasted on the other side of the door, opposite to hers. She then took off the covers off my mouth. And when I was about to speak, she immediately puts a finger on top of my lips, and shook her head. A warning.
"Your name's Victoria right?" She asked and I simply nodded. Her dark eyes bore through mine, she's even scarier than any vampire's I've met, and literally she terrifies both the heaven and hell out of me. "Do you know Arthur?" She threw her second question, and I nodded again.
I remembered Tristan's tale about Will's past, and Arthur was the name of Will's late father. I was about to speak and explain that they've got the wrong person, but yet again, her finger was too fast. But this time she didn't placed it on my lips but in front of me, as she wiggles it side to side while tsssk-ing. Another warning.
"I do the talking. Understood?" She said and I nodded, again. I feel like I'm transforming into a bubblehead.
"Did you kill Arthur Hale?" I shook my head vigorously. I already expected that would be the next question, but no matter how ready I am, she scares me, period. Her voice was like a needle, small yet lethal. It feels like this whole interrogation thing is like being on an acupuncture session.

She looked at me for quite some time, studying if I'm telling the truth or not. She's like a wolf smelling its prey, and I bet she smelled my fear, or even my sweat for that matter. Even though I'm totally innocent – cross my heart, hope to fly – my demeanor might probably be misinterpreted as guilty. My whole body's shaking like I just did a planking stunt in the North Pole with my bare ass, like a bear without a fur.
She eased her composure and slumped down on the seat. "She telling the truth." Mafia girl simply said and sighed. "This one's too weak to be a murderer." This girl didn't hold back on her mocking face, when she mentioned me as weak. I've got to hand it to her, she's pretty blunt and I like people like that, well aside from being a kidnapper.
The guy in the front seat groaned like a werewolf, and hit the stirring wheel. "How can you easily say that?" He looked at us, desperation was written all over his face. He looks like a dog wanting to be released from its cage. This case must probably be the one holding him back for a very long time. Looking at him, he wants the key to his cage pretty badly, and he thinks I am that key. "For god's sake! She's Victoria!" He exclaimed in a desperate tone.
I had a brief look of the stupid donkey's face, and he's not that bad. Kind of reminds me of Zayn Malik, but this guy has lighter skin, and thinner brows. Pretty hot for a donkey.
"Same name, different person." Mafia girl simply shrugged, unmoved by her partner's desperate plea for freedom. "I've seen Victoria Hale once, and this girl..." She paused and pointed her thumb at me. "... is not her. The Victoria I saw was different, she was fearless." She paused again, and studied me once more. "And like I said before, she's too young. Like a decade younger."
The stupid donkey studied me as well, and sighed heavily. He looks like he's been out-won by mafia girl's reasoning. "So what do we do?" He asked while he run a hand through his hair. His voice sounded like he just lost a battle.
"We do a DNA test." She said, which made me curious as to why they needed to do that test, when they've already decided that I'm not the Victoria they're looking for. Then she continued. "Precautionary measures. I might be wrong."
I sighed. This girl is unbelievable, and I meant it as a compliment. Mafia girl is definitely a strategist, she's playing this game carefully, like chess, before she makes a move she double-takes everything before taking another step.
Honestly, it's so weird how they exchange conversations while I'm here, it's not like I can't hear them. I involuntarily rolled my eyes with the thought, which the both of them noticed immediately. And it sure feels like I'm a deer cornered into a dead-end and is about to get lashed by two angry lions. Oh dear deer me. And the last thing I saw before passing out, again, was mafia girl's fist.
