It was time for us to go but before that, we stopped at the mansion's front first to bid farewell to Divina, Jill, Jack and Anna.
Jill said he'll visit me in my apartment any time soon, which is far from possible, because there's no way we'd fit in my room. So instead I gave him a counter offer, I told him I'd bring him to my favorite coffee shop, and probably set him up on a blind date. He lightly hit my head on the last part of the proposition.
Divina on the other hand, reminded me about our postponed shopping escapade. I promised I won't miss it the next time, which I don't know when exactly. Anna and Jack simply gave me hugs and the usual farewell wishes. After we said our goodbyes, we immediately head off the road.
Will brought his car – I mean Marcus's car – the same one he used when he once came to see me, that time when he told me that they're actually related to Edward Cullen. He insisted I'd ride with him, which I did because with this family, no is not an option.
Will was unusually silent on the first half-hour drive. I don't know if he's too focused on his driving, or he's actually out of words to say. Hmm, the ball of sunshine is probably shadowed by clouds of unknown thoughts.
"What's up?" I asked him, when my Ellie Goulding playlist was over, and is now on repeat. "Are you on airplane mode?" He laughed.
"It's just. They kept talking about my birth mother, and how you two uh..." He wasn't able to finish his sentence, so I did it for him.
"... so alike?" He nodded.
I don't know why, but it seemed his answer was too far off the track from my earlier question. He didn't reply with a yes or a no. Is he bothered by my presence now that he realized I'm probably his mother's doppelgänger?
"Aren't you bothered?" This time he looked at me but only for a brief moment. His face looked shocked by my blunt question.

"Why would I be?" Will's eyebrows furrowed, and it seemed like his reply sounded a bit defensive.
"I don't know. Maybe I might have reminded you of her?" I asked, and blurted out the obvious, which I'm guessing he'd deny.
This topic is getting out of hand, and I'm starting to feel awkward. Actually, I shouldn't be the one feeling awkward, this is my own doing. And I'll probably be the one accountable if this car suddenly crash to the sea. Yeah, were back on the SRP, the road next to the ocean.
He shrugged. "It's fine. The rest are happy, especially mom." He played safe and didn't answer with the usual yes or no, again.
This time I realized, he mentions Divina as mom, while Victoria as birth mother. Does he despise his own mother? Well, I can't blame him for that, even I will do the same if I'm on his shoes.
"Will. I'm sorry." I really don't know why I apologized. I just feel like doing so.
"Whaaat?" His face had a hint of amusement with a bit of confusion by my randomness.
Well, to be honest, I'm sorry, because I asked him something uncomfortable and because we – in general, the people around him – haven't really thought of his feelings when we mention his mother. Victoria Hale the murderer, that also happens to be his real mom. But I can't tell him that, so instead I told him something that's turn-off worthy.
"I'm about to fart." I shifted a bit on my seat, to make him see my point. Though I meant it as a joke, he fell for it and hastily opened the windows. That's when I laughed so hard.
I didn't know farts are that scary. His expression was priceless when I said that, like someone's about to throw him a grenade. Panic galore~
"Damn you princess." He joined my fit of laughter when he realized my joke, or prank was more like it.
"Nice reaction by the way." I winked at him. Then I did an awkward cough, trying to shift from silly to serious mode. "And by the way. If ever you need me, don't ever hesitate. I'm here to listen." I touched his shoulder and smiled at him.

I said almost the same words to Anna. I wanted them to not feel the same way I did, when I had no one to talk to on my down moments. Well, aside from my therapist, I needed a real friend, not someone I'll have to pay just to hear my problems.
"Thanks. Pinky promise?" He asked and briefly took his eyes off the road to look at me. I simply nodded. "You sure I could count on you if I'm feeling emo?" He said, which made me laugh, imagining him with spiked hair, black clothes, and chains as jewelry.
"Yeah. As long as there's no slitting action." I said to him.
I touched my wound from the keeper's ritual that hasn't healed yet. Well, I may have pushed the knife a little deeper than I'd anticipated. It happened when I was filled with adrenaline from cursing before slitting. Weirdly, I didn't felt any pain afterwards, probably the bomb that Sevyr threw on me, numbed my mind as well as my body.
Will saw me touching my wounded finger. "I really didn't expect you to be one of us. I've always imagined you to be my bearer." He made a joke and laughed with his own masterpiece. I faked a laugh, using the ha ha ha-- with intentional pause after every word.
I'd rather risk my life to be a hunter, than make child bearing a lifetime work. Plus, with random guys who would probably just take my baby, like they just purchased it from a vending machine. Yeah, I imagine bearers as vending machines. Well, it's a good thing I won't be in either of those branches anymore.
Speaking of bearers, Anna's face suddenly popped in my head.
"Is Anna, Jack's first bearer?" I asked actually curious about it. He nodded.
"Yeah. The child will be for him and Jill." He simply said it like it wasn't a shocking revelation. Oh my god, poor Anna.
Wait, pause that...
"Jack and Jill are together?" I asked with balled-out eyes, bigger than billiard balls. I had my speculations but I doubted it. Now that Will said that, it feels like a ship just sailed in my head, my Jack and Jill ship.
Jack and Jill went up the ship to catch a pail of sperm cells~ I sang in my head. Jill will hang me if he hears this song again, especially with my remix.
"Yeah. Well, I think they're off, for now, with Anna in the way. It's complicated the two of them." Will said it with a hint of disgust on his face.
He's probably not supportive with the idea of gay love, which I am. I'm pretty open minded. Well for me, love doesn't just attract the opposite sides of a magnet, it applies to all sides, I guess.
Holy shit.
Then something just hit me, a realization. So that's why Jill bitched on me when I sang that nursery song. Damn. I laughed mentally. That was probably their theme song! Oh my god! This is fucking hilarious.
Suddenly, Will's phone rang and immediately he puts it on Bluetooth to the speaker, automatically Tristan's voice filled the car.
"I'm hungry. Let's stop by a drive-through." By the way Tristan said it, it sounded like a direct order, not a question nor a suggestion.
"Damn. What a pig." I spitted out without realizing the call hasn't ended yet. He just ate a buffet at their rest house, now his hungry again?
"So are you." He said and hanged up. I clenched my fists, feeling my fingers as it digs through the walls of my skin. He never fails to annoy me.
Never call a girl "pig", even if she is! That's probably written on the girls commandments.
Tristan went ahead of us and stopped at the first drive-through he saw, McDonald's. He then popped his head out of his window and gestured Will to do the same.
