《The little vampire- the darkest light》Morning

Gregory's POV
I abruptly woke up from the dream, my eyes snapping open to revel four familiar faces looking down at me.
"Why is it that every time I wake up in the last few days you are all staring at me?" I question my family. It was honesty strange (even for our family) to be peering down on a sleeping family member
"Perhaps brother it's because every time you sleep you wake everyone else up with your loud vocals from your dreams. It is very hard to ignore moaning and cursing when trying to rest" Anna gives me her devilish smile
I let out a groan of pure annoyance and let my head fall back
"Was it about carter again sweetheart" my
Mother asks in a half prying half sincere voice. She obviously knows the answer but for the hell of it she wants me to admit I have feelings in front of everyone
"Hmm" is all she got from me.
"You don't looks so good" rudolf tells me, concern in his voice.
Honestly, I feel like shit. Every hour I feel worse, being unable to feed is killing me....literally. I don't know how much longer I could do this. My temperature was rising slowly, my palms were getting clammy, the lips were extremely dry and I felt constantly tired and had a headache in my frontal lobes. One of the only perks about being a vampire is always feeling amazing (unless something is terribly wrong). And at the moment, something was extremely wrong.
"What's the time" I ask out loud, curious to know if carter would be down to visit soon.
"The actual time? No idea. If I had to guess maybe a few hours past noon. Why?" Mother asks me smiling
"It's nothing...we'll I mean. Why are we all up?" Like come on. We're vampires. We should...and usually are sleeping
"Well my dear the comet is coming sooner than we think. We still need to find the amulet and we should start getting used to a mortal schedule" mom says as she feels my forehead With the back of her hand, her smile dropping

"Plus" Anna adds "we thought you would like to be up Incase a particular mortal comes down here" she smiles at me before walking away.
Time passes by and my family and I wait for either tony or carter to return to the basement. I wished it was carter but my stomach had knots in it, for the first time in a lifetime, I was nervous. Nervous because in all reality I had no idea what to say to her, nervous she was going to bring up my condition again, nervous because in our dreams I was confident and experienced, nervous because she was the most beautiful girl I have ever seen.
The basement door creaks open and from the mixture of the sound of the footsteps and the aroma I could tell it wasn't Carter resending the stairs but tony. Disappointment washed over me, I just wanted too see her face.
"Hey" Tony said to everyone and him and rudolf gave each other a weird handshake
"Good morning Tony" Anna smiled and fluttered her eyes, sending a sicking feeling to my core—my baby sister has a crush.
"Good morning" Tony says back with a blush creeping across his face "uhh carter and I thought you might want to come up stairs instead of being stuck down here so we shut all the blinds and taped them too the wall to make sure there's no light coming through"
"Thank you, That is very kind of you both" father spoke "shall we all head up stairs"
We all nodded in agreement and followed tony up the wooden stairs.
After rising from the basement I was finally able to see carter again, she was leaning over the kitchen counters on some type of new age mortal technology. She was jaw dropping, absolutely fucking stunning. She was wearing dark short pants I've never seen before (Sofie shorts) and a baggy tee shirt. Her hair was in 2 braids with hair falling out to frame her face. Her eyes were big and bright and when she smiled her white teeth blinded me. She was perfect.

Our eyes met and my heart jumped into my throat. In our dreams were both confident around each other but face to face the tension was so thick it was completely obvious. Her eyes sparkled into mine and she smiled at me, her lips looking plump and moist. I forced myself to look away, i couldn't just stare at her—right?
"Good afternoon" her angelic voice echoed through the house
"Good afternoon dear" mother smiled
"Hello cater, it's splendid to see you again" Anna said politely and gave me an evil smile
"What is that?" Father asked, looking at the mortal technology on the counter in front of carter
"It's a computer...a uh laptop. You use it for different things, like asking questions you need to know the answer too or contacting people"
"Fascinating" rudolf smiled "and what are you going on it now?"
"She's researching the amulet and the comet" tony interrupted
I couldn't comprehend what carter was saying. How could this mortal technology do so much? It had no wires, not one. It was thin. No noises were coming from it. Becoming human....if I become human....is going to be completely odd.
"Did you find anything about the comet?" Father asked, snapping me back to reality. I realize while I was thinking about mortal life I was looking at carter—and she was looking back—both of us blushed at one another.
"Nothing that could help us locate the amulet" Carter said and her smile turned into a frown "there is actually almost no information about the comet in general. There's some old journal entries and a poem or two but besides that, nothing"
Another dead end, no shock there. And now the awkward silence.
"Well" tony began "can rudolf and Anna come to my room? I want to show them some cool things before we go out searching tonight" tony looked at carter for permission
"Yeah of course." Carter said and the three kids ran upstairs leaving the four of us in the silence
"So" Carter began "where are we going searching tonight?"
Awe, my babydoll, eager to search alrady
"Well dear" mother smiled "I'm not entirely sure. We would all probably take out in our normal directions"
"Oh okay" Carter bit her lip (which was such a turn on)
"I don't think you should go" I announce and everyone looks at me
"Who?" Carter looks at me, eyebrows knit
"You" I answer abruptly
"And why is that"
"You're not up to it, you're still limping"
"Why does that matter, I thought we would fly"
"No, we still need to walk the ground to search"
"Okay ? I'm capable of that"
I notice my parents ongoing fascination with our bickering and our constant to one another
"You're not going" I tell her again, in a more serious and demanding tone. "Bu—" she tried to interject before my mother cut her off
"Well that's actually a splendid idea, she can stay home and watch after you"
"Wh—what? Watch after me?" anger rose up inside of me, realizing I was using the wall as support, and my hand was shaking uncontrollably
There was another pause of uncomfortable silence
"What's wrong" Carter spoke, looking at no one in particular, but we all knew it was for me
"Nothing" i answer under my breath
"Don't lie to me. I know when your lying"
Once again, silence....

The Breath of Creation [DROPPED]
General Summary: Sometimes, the multiverse needs expanding. That's where I come in. But, unfortunately, being a deity isn't all fun and games (and is incredibly complicated), as there are always things working against you. Not even the God of the Multiverses can change that. Another Summary: Twelve souls were chosen to expand into the void surrounding the known universe(s), and were given a grace period in which they would experience a relatively safe expansion of their domains. Once that period is up, however, they are free to interact with each other...and what lurks in the depths of the Abyss, the Void, and the Primordial Chaos. I am one of those souls. And let me tell you, this shit ain't easy. Between trying to raise mortals into an immortal army, with which I can defend my domain, dealing with my children, and trying to maintain the balance between all realms of existance, I have my work cut out for me. Sigh. Now I know why, back on Earth, gods worked in mysterious, invisible ways. There's just too much to be done. Formerly called RE: Deity
