'Take me home, Nik. Please.' I request and he easily shifts me into a better position, rising and holding me against his chest as he speeds to my house. When we get there he places me down on the porch swing before finding the spare key and unlocking the door. He returns to my side and lifts me up again, heading straight upstairs and into my room where he placed me gently on the bed. 'Thank you, Nik.' I tell him.
'Are you okay, Little Wolf?' He asks, crouching down in front of me.
'I'm sore, but healing, a little groggy.' I tell him. 'I probably look a right sight, I know I wasn't wearing waterproof makeup.' I comment and it gets a small chuckle out of him but he looks worried and a whole host of other mixed emotions. 'Are you okay?' I ask in return.
'I don't know what I am right now, Little Wolf.' He says, closing his eyes for a moment. 'You know I didn't mean what I said to him. Don't you?' He asks.
'I know Nik, of course I know that.' He nods looking a little relieved. 'Can you help me clean up and change? I really don't have the energy to do it myself and I'm still sore.' I ask him and he nods. He rises and walks over to my dresser where there is makeup wipes and a hairbrush he then heads over to the drawer I indicate for sleepwear and selects some shorts and an oversized t-shirt.
When he returns to my side he sits beside me on the bed and sets about removing my ruined makeup. He's incredibly gentle for someone who I just saw kill the man he thought of as his father. Once all my makeup has been removed he helps me off the bed and unzips the dress which is now effectively ruined. Once he has the dress off he takes another one of the wipes and removes as much of the blood from my skin as he can before helping me into the clothes he had prepared. He then sat behind me on the bed and brushed through the mass of curls that was my hair before flawlessly pulling it all into a ponytail with a hair tie that he had found lying around.

The whole time we were in a comfortable silence and I marveled at the care he was showing me. I fell so much further for him then, the way he was treating me causing a warm feeling to spread through me. He was being so gentle and careful with me it tugged on my heartstrings.
When he was finished he threw away the wipes and the dress, before tucking me into the bed, making sure I was comfortable. 'Would you like me to stay tonight?' He asked, seeming to sense that I didn't want to be alone.
'Please? There's probably something that you can sleep in in the spare room that you showered in last time.' He nodded and walked out of the room while I settled into a more comfortable position to sleep in while I awaited his return.
When he came back it was in some loose sleep pants and without a shirt but that didn't bother me in the slightest. He got in the other side of the bed and gently placed his arm around my waist, holding me lightly against him to make sure that he didn't hurt me in the process. 'Goodnight Little Wolf.'
'Goodnight Nik.'
