《A Wolf, A Hybrid and A Vampire- Klaus Mikaelson》Chapter 21

I came to as I was being pulled out of a car, I tried to fight against whoever's grip I was in but they were strong, stronger than me as I still had wolfsbane in my system and they wouldn't budge. I could see Mikael at the front door of the Lockwood mansion talking to Nik, but he couldn't see me from where I was.
'Hello, Niklaus.' Mikael said, god I want to kill him, I want to rip him apart.
'Hello, Mikael. Won't you come in?' Nik smirked. 'Oh, that's right. I forgot. You can't.' I wore a proud smile, pleased that he was standing up to him like that when I knew he was scared deep down.
'Or you could come outside if you want.' Mikael suggested. Don't fall for the bait Nik.
'Or I could watch my hybrids tear you limb from limb.' Nik pointed out and I could see a group of said hybrids approaching.
'They can't kill me.' Mikael reminds him. Well they can try and I'll be right there with them as soon as I'm able.
'True, but it'll make a hell of a party game.' Nik says and I smile again. 'All I have to do is rub these two fingers together, and they'll pounce.'
'The Big Bad Wolf. You haven't changed. Still hiding behind your playthings like a coward. You only forget, they may be sired by you, but they are still part vampire. And they can be compelled by me.' Mikael enlightens and one of the hybrids moves to stand at his side. How could I have missed that? I should have known, oh god. They dragged me over so that I was on one side of Mikael, looking right at Nik and then they pulled Katherine out on his other side.

Nik looked at me in shock, but his expression was masked quickly. I could see in his eyes, however, that he was concerned. He forced himself to look at Katherine and I understood why. He was trying to distance himself from me to lower the risk of me getting hurt.
'Come out and face me, Niklaus, or they die.' Mikael threatens.
'Go ahead. Kill them.' Even though I know he was bluffing to get the upper hand, it still hurt when he said that.
'No, Klaus. He'll do it.' Katherine protested, playing it as though she was Elena.
'If she dies, this lot will be the last of your abominations.' He said. 'And the wolf, if I kill her, that would break your heart, nobody left to actually care for you, though I don't know how anyone could love a beast such as you.' He spat.
I growled low in my throat. 'Go ahead and try you bastard, the only beast is you, hunting your own children because of what you turned them into. Your sins are so much worse than any he has committed. I hope you rot in hell.' I spat as I fought in his grip. He moved his arm from gripping mine to holding me in a chokehold, causing me to have trouble breathing.
'I don't need them. And the wolf means nothing to me.' Nik responds, as though I hadn't said anything and I couldn't tell if the tear that rolled down my cheek was caused by my lack of breathing or by his words. 'I just need to be rid of you.'
'To what end, Niklaus? So you can live forever with no one by your side?' Mikael questions as the edges of my vision begin to darken. 'Nobody cares about you anymore, boy! Who do you have other than those whose loyalty you have forced? No one.' Nik has tears in his eye, I can just about make them out. 'No one.' Mikael repeats. I want to yell at him, to tell him that his cruel words are wrong, to tell Nik that he has me. That he has Stefan and Rebekah, who are oddly absent.

'I'm calling your bluff, father.' Nik says. 'Kill them.' A stab of pain goes through me at his words, though I know it is a trick. I drift out of it for a few moments, missing the conversation as I feel all light and dizzy from a lack of oxygen, though I am painfully brought back to earth when a dagger, coated in wolfsbane, is shoved into my side and my body crumples to the ground.
I watch blearily from my position as Damon tries to kill Nik with the white oak stake and Katherine throws wolfsbane grenades at the hybrids, a small amount splashing on me, adding to my pain. Stefan stops Damon, tackling him to the floor as Nik grabs the stake, launching himself out of the door and onto Mikael, thrusting the stake into his chest. He watches as Mikael burns for a single moment before he sped over to me, dropping to his knees and moving me onto his lap.
'It's alright, Love. I'm here.' He murmurs before he pulls the dagger out of my body, causing me to let out a pain filled gasp and my body to jerk. He drops the dagger to the side. 'Sorry Love, it had to be done.' He then proceeded to bite into his wrist and placed it against my lips. 'Drink Love, it'll make it feel better, I promise.' I begin to slowly drink his blood, expecting it to be disgusting but I'm surprised by how amazing it tastes. Drinking Nik's blood feels euphoric. After a few mouthfuls my hand snaps up to grip his wrist, gulping down his blood greedily. I hear Nik groan and he holds me tighter against him. 'Easy Love, we have an audience.' He says huskily in my ear. I immediately stop drinking and lean back into his chest.
