《A Wolf, A Hybrid and A Vampire- Klaus Mikaelson》Chapter 7

When I woke up it was to the scent of the forest and a killer headache. I groaned, burying my head into Nik's neck who was carrying my piggy back style as he walked. 'Promise to never let me drink ever again.' I murmur against his skin, breathing in his intoxicating scent that pushes the pain in my head away a little.

'Oh, I don't know, sweetheart. You are rather amusing when inebriated.' He chuckles causing me to groan again. I didn't remember much after I lay down on the pool table.

'Ugh, christ, tell me I didn't do anything stupid or embarrassing.' I heard Stefan laugh from behind us as he followed along, I turned my head towards him and glared at him, ignoring the fact that he was carrying Ray's still dead body.

'Well, you did mention that you thought I was cute. But it was what happened after I got you in the car that was really entertaining.' Nik tells me, and I flush. 'I'm not sure which part I enjoyed most, your drunken singing, the bitchy comments you made about basically everyone you know, the amount of times you mentioned how attractive I am or when you decided to start taking your clothes off in the backseat.' I completely froze at that last one.

'Tell me I didn't.' I demand.

'No, I was sitting in the back with you seeing as you were so drunk so I managed to stop you, after that you passed out.' He reassures me. 'Though I've seen it all before I assumed you wouldn't want Stefan to.' He continued with a grin and I slapped the back of his head.

'Seeing my naked after a wolf run and seeing me naked in any other situation is completely different.' I tell him firmly. 'Besides, who says I wouldn't want Stefan to see?' I say with a grin, knowing it'll wind him up. I hear Stefan choke and I can both hear and feel Nik growl. 'Did I hit a nerve there, Wolfy?' I whisper in his ear.

His grip on my legs tightens as he responds. 'I thought I told you yesterday that comments like that are not wise.' His voice is tight and I can't tell if it's because of anger or something else.

'What can I say? The full moon makes me bold.' I shrug. It's true though, when the power of the full moon is rushing through my veins it makes me feel powerful, unstoppable. It also has a nasty habit of heightening my emotions, like lust, which could make life a tad difficult. Though I usually had a handle on it, being this close to Nik was making it really hard. 'Nik.' I say and my voice is suddenly serious. 'Put me down.' He stops walking and immediately does as I asked. I move away from him and take a deep breath as he glances at me curiously.

'Are you alright, Love?' He questions and I have to fight really hard to stop the shivers his voice is giving me. Oh, god, what is happening to me? I've never had this sort of reaction on a full moon.

'Something's going on.' I look up at him and I can feel my eyes flash, I close them tightly, fighting for control. 'I'm not in control. The moon is making me feel all out of whack. I've had perfect control since I was fifteen, I don't know what's happening.' I open my eyes again, back to normal but I can feel that my temperature is higher than normal. Nik tries to move towards me, eyes worried, but I back away from him causing him to stop. 'No, don't touch me.' He looks hurt and I try to smile. 'My senses are all in overdrive, every nerve, and my skin is on fire. It feels like electricity is running through my body.' I explain and he nods, understanding why I don't want to be touched.

'Let's keep going then. Faster we get there, the faster we can shift and you can relax.' He suggests and I nod, trying to keep my breathing even. Nik leads the way through the Smoky Mountains until we came across the pack of wolves setting up camp for the full moon tonight.

They all turn to look at us as Stefan dumps Ray onto the ground and a woman rushes forward. 'Ray! Oh, my god.' She falls to her knees next to him, stroking his hair back from his face as another man stands behind her. 'What's going on?' She looks to Stefan. 'Who are you?' She asks him.

'The more important question is who am I.' Nik tells her and if I wasn't trying not to react to his voice I would have rolled my eyes at his words. 'Please forgive the intrusion. My name is Klaus.' He says to the entire pack.

'You're the Hybrid.' The woman says, rising and backing away.

'You've heard of me. Fantastic.' He looked extremely pleased with himself and had a smirk on his face that I would normally find arrogant but with my current situation I was finding it more attractive than anything else. I groaned quietly before walking away to sit against a tree, dropping my head and trying to block everything about Nik out of my head. His voice and his scent were invading my every sense and it took all of my focus to ignore them.

'It's fascinating actually. A werewolf who isn't beholden to the moon, a vampire who doesn't burn in the sun.' Nik was saying.

'If I have to listen to your voice can you please at least say something useful.' I call out tensely, not bothering to look up.

'A true hybrid.' He continues as though I never spoke, though his voice was a little quieter before Ray gasped awake. 'Excellent timing, Ray. Very dramatic.'

'What's happening to me?' The transitioning werewolf asked. And Nik indicated that Stefan should explain.

'Are any of you human? Your friend here needs human blood to complete his transition to vampire. If he doesn't get it he will die.' Stefan informed them.

'Doesn't take much, just a sample. Anyone? A boyfriend, a girlfriend along for the ride?' Nik continues.

'The blonde guy that's dating the alpha girl.' I call out from my position on the ground. I subsequently heard Ray feeding and Nik feeding the others his blood before snapping their necks until all the wolves were dead and it was mercifully silent. That is until they started talking again.

'So is this your master plan, build an army of hybrid slaves?' Stefan questioned and I shook my head, knowing that wasn't really why Nik was creating his Hybrids.

'No, not slaves. Soldiers, comrades.' Nik said, his accent making every word sound flawless and making my body break out into goose bumps in spite of the warm Tennessee air.

'For what war, might I ask?' Stefan asks.

'God you have no sense of strategy at all, do you?' I question. 'You don't arm yourself after a war breaks out, you build an army so big, so strong, that no one ever dares to pick a fight.' I point out. 'Now, would both of you kindly shut up!' I groaned, frustrated by the intense emotions that were shooting through my body. I glared up at them with blazing blue eyes, my fangs elongated of their own accord.
