Humanity reaches deeper and deeper into space with its starships and Space Cities. Maybe their technology and curiosity has taken them too far? A scientist and an electrician walk down separate paths following the clues and secrets of the powers. Magical powers that let some shatter boulders with their fists and some discharge beams of ice from their palms and more. Everyone is different, and specific mental traits are key. There are many secrets left to discover. A man cloaked by mystery and power works from the shadows, he has been given the tools to ensure humanity’s place in the Universe. The future of humanity, how much is it worth? Beyond Humanity will consist of three novels and all will be published in this sequence of chapters. The chapter POVs will rotate between Beth and Milo but with some guest inclusions of other characters. A new chapter will be published every Sunday, and whenever extra words drip off my fingers.

He couldn't live in isolation either due to the food needed to maintain his Heart. The deeply rooted ideology and training he received in food consumption prevented him from doing so. He knew his very own existence did not allow him to live peacefully, yet he tried. But, everything changed when he met a strange girl in his peaceful way of living. A meeting that changed his expectations and pulled him back to the shackles, relations, and responsibility he tried to escape from but this time with no chance of escape. It was because, she gave him the fiercest stimulant that makes or breaks a man, 'Ambition.' He wanted to go back to where he was kicked out with his head high and beat the people who dared to look down on him. Even if it was the DEVIL himself. ***************************** Author half asleep: Simply put. A poor fellow gets messed up real hard by a chick and gets thrown back into the good vs evil cliche war he tried to escape from. Damien Close, age 19, becomes a quadriplegic after an unfortunate car accident, losing all function of his body from the neck down. Being unable to even take his own life, Damien struggles to get past each day, looking for something to live for. With every passing day, Damien becomes more solemn and impassive. Three months later, Damien has almost given up, but to his surprise something unexpected happens. He is given the chance of a lifetime; to take part in a study focused on researching the effects of VR games on quadriplegic patients. Authors Note: If you find that the dialogue from the prologue to chapter 5 seem to be not that smooth, I apologize for that, it was my first time writing a fanfic so the dialogue was not in a format that is ideal. However, due to reader comments and some research I will try to attempt to improve the dialogue from chapter 6 and onwards. I may or may not come back to edit the first few chapters since I would have to rewrite most of it and I would rather spend that time writing out more of the story.
