Mario and Meggy's Valentine's Day break is over, as it is now the day after and they're going back to collecting Shines.

Meggy: Well, Valentine's Day was fun while it lasted.

Mario: We sure did have a great time showing our love for each other.

Meggy: Now let's get back to collecting those Shines and saving Isle Delfino.

Mario: Okie dokie.

They explored through Bianco Hills and Ricco Harbor some more collecting more Shine Sprites, as they went back to Delfino Plaza and they saw something strange on the water.

Meggy: Hey, what's that over there?

Mario: Looks like a... spiky boat.

Meggy: Let's go see what that is.

They ran to the boat and saw that Shadow Mario and Meggy were on it.

Mario: Aww, damn it. Those guys again?

Meggy: What do you two want now?

Shadow Mario: Try and catch us now!

They jumped in the boat as it drove away to an island.

F.L.U.D.D.: That is Pinna Island. The villain's secret hideout must be there!

Mario: Alright. Let's go there, Meggy.

Meggy: I... don't think I should follow them.

Mario: Why no...

He saw that there's nothing but water in front of them.

Mario: Oh... right. Well, that's just great. Now how are we supposed to get to Pinna Island?

Meggy saw a cannon is near them.

Meggy: Mario, there's a cannon!

Mario: I hope it leads us to where we need to go.

They, along with F.L.U.D.D., jumped in the cannon, as it shot them out towards Pinna Island.

Mario: MAMA MIAAAAAAAAAA!

Meggy: I hope I don't fall in that water.

Mario: Hmm?

Mario held Meggy's hand.

Mario: I'll be with you always, so I can make sure you don't fall in the water.

Meggy hugged Mario.

Meggy: Thank you.

Mario: No problem.

They landed on Pinna Island, more specifically in Pinna Park, as they saw Shadow Mario and Meggy from a distance.

Mario: Let's get those mother f*ckers!

They ran towards Shadow Mario and Meggy, who started to run away from them. It was a chase for ten seconds until the imposters reach their spot and jump in the center of it. Just then, the ground on there was starting to rumble, as it opened up, leaving the shadows floating in the air until a Mecha Bowser rised from the giant hole in the ground.

F.L.U.D.D.: What happened? Did the perpetrators get away?

Mario: Not even close, F.L.U.D.D.

Meggy: You two imposters aren't gonna get away with what you did!

Shadow Mario and Meggy stood up on top of the giant Mecha Bowser, which was just fully revealed. The park director saw this and commented on it.

Pinna Park director: Amazing! What a spectacle! Is this a new show of ours?! You guys are great! Whoever hired you needs a raise! I love how you play the fearless heroes and they're like the bad versions of you two, but you both look the same and stuff! Well, as director of this park, I want to ensure your success. So, how about I provide you with a hero's vehicle? Follow me!

Mario: Umm, okay?

Mario, Meggy, and F.L.U.D.D. were put on a moving car on a track, with their main target being Mecha Bowser.

When F.L.U.D.D. didn't have a missile on him, Meggy turned on the ink tank and shot ink at oncoming Bullet Bills and Mecha Bowser when they get near it. The missiles do more damage on Mecha Bowser, so they need those as well when they get near the giant Bowser mech.

Meggy: Mario. I have a way to get rid of the Bullet Bills coming behind us. F.L.U.D.D., now!

F.L.U.D.D. shot ink out of his nozzle and into the four cannons, causing them to get jammed.

Mario: Nice work, Meggy! Launch the missile, F.L.U.D.D.!

F.L.U.D.D. shot some missiles at the Mecha Bowser a couple more times until it malfunctioned and shut down. The top of the head opened up, revealing Shadow Mario and Meggy inside.

Mario: This ends now, fakers!

Meggy: You two are going to prison!

Shadow Mario and Meggy did many flips, revealing the two people who are causing this.

They removed their masks and showed who they really are.

Shadow Mario is revealed to be Bowser Jr., while Shadow Meggy is revealed to be Peach.

Mario: Peach?!

Meggy: Bowser Jr.?

Bowser Jr.: Leave my mama alone, bad men! I won't let you take Mama Peach away!

Peach: Quit calling me mama.

Mario: The next thing you're telling me is that Bowser is behind all of this!

Bowser Jr.: He hasn't been evil in over a year! I wanted him to join me, but he's joined the good guys now. I wanted someone who wanted revenge as much as I do.

Peach: And that's where I come in.

Meggy: But... why, though?

Peach: Ever since I found out you two were in love, I was devastated by this. I wanted my revenge, but many people are beating me to it. Toadsworth, Bob, a bunch of evil squids, all of them were defeated by you two and I never got a chance in the spotlight! Bowser Jr. came around and we wanted to have our revenge on the good guys. We thought you two would be the perfect start to our reign.

Bowser Jr.: We heard that you two were going on a honeymoon here, so we disguised as shadow versions of you two a day before you came in, making all of Isle Delfino all dirty and ruined and framing you two.

Mario: So... let me get this straight. You two wanted revenge on us... just because we love each other?

Meggy: How dare you?! You delayed our honeymoon!

Peach: And it felt good seeing you two get arrested.

Mario: You bastards!

Bowser Jr.: And now let me show you something.

Bowser Jr. showed off something he has.

Bowser Jr.: This... is my magic brush. When I draw with this, all my wishes come true!

Mario: So you always wished for graffitiing an entire island?

Meggy laughed at Mario's comment.

Bowser Jr.: Shut up! *sigh* Anyways, a strange old man in a white coat gave the brush to me.

F.L.U.D.D.: A strange old man... in a white coat.

Mario: Goddamn, E. Gadd is stupid.

Meggy: Don't you two dare get away! F.L.U.D.D.!

F.L.U.D.D. started to spray water on the mech's head.

Peach: I guess we have to go now. See you two traitorous bastards around!

Bowser Jr.: Good one, mama!

Peach: How many times do I have to tell you...

The head closed before Peach finished her sentence, as a balloon came out of the top, causing the head to fly away.

Mario: You sons of bitches!

The Mecha Bowser head started flying towards a volcano.

F.L.U.D.D.: It appears to be heading towards Corona Mountain!

Meggy: Let's just grab this Shine and get out of here. I'm just too mad at those two for framing us!

They grabbed the Shine, as Mario had an idea to calm Meggy down.

Mario: Meggy? You seem too stressed. How about, since we are already at the amusement park, one of the selling points of Isle Delfino, we go on some of the rides here to calm us down?

Meggy: Hmm... there doesn't seem to be any goop around here, so... sure, Mario.

Mario: Let's a-go!

They went on a few of the rides to calm themselves down after what they saw, as they realized that a ton of Shines are required to get to Corona Mountain and save Isle Delfino.
