I was hanging out with Tanjirou and his little sister, Nezuko. It was my second time meeting them, the first time was at the pillar meeting. It was sad to see everyone against them, it was never her choice to become one in the first place. What was even worse is that Sanemi and Obanai got physical with them, while in front of Oyataka-sama.
I wanted to apologize for their actions, but Tanjirou was already taken away. Shinobu took then into her residence, so I decided to visit later.
Their situation reminded me of my own when I was younger, with my sister. She became a demon and devoured the rest of our family, leaving me. I was able to make it to sunrise and keep my life, but I lost her.
"It must be hard for you Tanjirou..." I said to him.
"No, not at all. I know I'll be able to turn Nezuko back into a human," he said, beaming with confidence.
I wish I was that determined back then.
〰
It's been a month since Tanjirou has arrived, and I've been coming to see him train often. He's been getting better ever since. I would offer to train with him but I was told not to by Aoi.
"You're a pillar, you could injure him," she said. I faintly laughed at what she said. I do go all out during training.
I'd just sit down on the porch and watch him and the others. I didn't know why but, I could sense bloodlust coming from somewhere. I looked around and I saw Obanai, sitting on the roof of the estate.
"Obanai?" I called out.
He didn't hear me and focused on... Tanjirou?
"Obanai," I called again.
His focus was broken and he faced me. I was worried just a bit. I remembered what had happened when Tanjirou was put on trial.

"Do you need anything?" I asked him.
He narrowed his eyes as he stared at me. The air felt like it was getting heavier on me.
"I was looking for you," he said as he jumped down, facing me.
"R-really?" I said, still feeling tense.
"Yes, why are you here?" he asked.
"I'm just watching Tanjirou go through his rehabilitation training," I answered.
"Hm..."
"Something wrong Obanai?" I asked.
"No, but.." he started, "Don't get too close to that traitor."
"Tanjirou? Tanjirou is not a traitor, he just wants to turn his sister back to normal." I stated.
"Tsk." he turned around and walked away. I scratched my head confused about what had just happened. I was about to turn around and watch Tanjirou but then I heard a faint clapping sound and some giggles.
"You are oblivious [name]-chan." I turned around to see Shinobu covering her mouth with three fingers.
"Oblivious?" I said.
"It's obvious Obanai-san doesn't want you near Tanjirou because..." she stopped, trying to stop any giggles from escaping.
"Because?" I asked her.
"Never mind what I said," she said waving me off and entering the estate.
She knows something I don't. I have to find out. It might be a threat to me, maybe Tanjirou, or Nezuko.
I headed out of the Butterfly Estate and headed towards Obanai's residence. I called out to him yet there was no answer. I walked out to the back of his home and sat him attacking a tree. I saw a drawing of Tanjirou placed on the tree.
Is that supposed to be Tanjirou?
I walked up behind him and tapped his shoulder. He immediately turned around getting ready to attack. Luckily before he did, he saw me.

"[Name]? What are you doing here?" he asked.
"Well, Shinobu said that I was oblivious, and it had to do something with you," I answered.
His facial expression didn't change, all I could see that his eyes widened just a bit.
"Uh..."
"Wow, I haven't noticed how well the colours yellow and turquoise go together. Your eyes are really pretty," I complimented.
"T..thank you," he replied.
"So, could you possibly tell me what Shinobu meant by that."
"You don't really need to know..." Obanai said. He mumbled something but I couldn't hear what it was. That could have been the answer and I may never know it.
"It means that I love you [name]..." I mumbled. I can't believe I'm jealous of someone she meant a month ago, and a kid as well, but it that still doesn't bring down my hatred for him.

Law of Divine Gates
What is transcendence? There are those on countless planets who believe creation ended with them. The notion that they are God's chosen people, and nothing else existed beyond them became a firmly rooted ideal. An arrogant assertion you say? Well there you have it, ignorance is something mortals never have a lack of. This is not transcendence, to transcend is to explore the limits of existence, to constantly grow, and lay claim to all the universe has to offer. Transcendence is to not be constrained by ideals, or the planet of your birth, to transcend is to leave behind your Mortal shell, to challenge heaven's law, and formulate your own. Heaven would see mortals bowed in servitude until the end of their days, to reincarnate, and begin another lifetime of worship, giving praise to the gods. A young demon accidentally stepped through the gateway of endless possibilities, will he succumb to heaven's authority?
