W-what's happening? Why is the inside of my home covered in... in blood? Where's my mom!?
I ran inside. I searched for my mother downstairs, but I couldn't find her. I heard a faint help. It sounded like my mother's. I slowly walked up the steps. There were bloody footprints on the floor, a smear of blood on the wall. I was confused, I held my head and rubbed it.
My mother's room door was open. It's never opened when she's home.
S-should I go in? No, mother always says to stay out of her bedroom. I should at least close the door.
I walked up to my mother's bedroom, I was about to close the door, but... I just froze. I couldn't move.
"M-mommy?" I called.
I saw a man on top of her. He was tall, had long black hair with red tips that he kept in a ponytail. He turned to me.
I couldn't feel my arms or legs, will I be able to defend myself, will I be a blue to run?
My mother was yelling and waving her arms at me, shooshing me away. I couldn't hear her, I was to busy paying attention to the man. I could see blood dripping from his mouth, my mother's blood.
He got up from the bed where my mother laid and slowly walked up to me. He had six red eyes with white and yellow irises. The middle eyes had the words "Upper Moon".
"[Name], run!" I heard my mother yell. I was immediately snapped out of my trance.
I quickly turned and ran down the stairs. I slipped on some of the blood at the bottom. As I tried to pick myself up, I saw him at the top of the stairs. I wanted to cry and just give up on running. He was going to kill me.

I gave up, I just stay at the bottom of the stairs. The man just looked at me. He didn't look like he wanted to attack me. He just stared at me, not blinking at all.
He soon began to walk down the steps. I shrieked in fear and pulled myself back until I touched the wall. He stood in front of me and looked down.
"P-" I chocked on my words. I don't wanna die.
"Speak child." his voice frightened me. I tried to, but I couldn't. He stepped aside and walked out the door and vanished.
I was holding my chest, gasping for air. I was trying to process everything that happened. Then I remembered, my mother. I ran up the stairs and ran into my mother's room.
"Mom-" I saw her lifeless body, laying on the bed. Her left arm and leg were ripped off.
She... she was smiling. Why was she smiling?
"Why are you smiling?" I yelled at her. I yelled and yelled until I couldn't anymore. I began to but my nails, smiling as I did so.
"I'll avenge you, mommy," I said as I walked up to her. I picked up her body with the strength I had and brought her outside. I dug up a hole and put her neatly inside. I closed her eyes and buried her. I prayed for her and went on my way.
It's been six years since my mother died. I was thirteen then, now I'm nineteen. I recently discovered the "Demon Slayer Corps", where they hunt down and kill demons.
I was determined to find the demon that killed my mother. I remembered those six eyes that started down on me.
Upper Moon.
(can I even call it a one-shot?)
