"She's losing a lot of blood!"
"Get her to the Butterfly Estate!"
W...what's happening? Where am I? Why do I feel so much pain in my lower body?
I slowly opened my eyes to see a bunch of people around me. I lifted my head and saw that half of my left leg was missing. It was being bandaged.
I jolted up in shock. "Where am I!?" I shouted.
"It's going to be alright, just lie down." answered a girl with black hair and blue eyes.
"A-alright!?" I began to struggle and tried to get away from them.
"Stop! You're going to open the wound!"
I quickly jolted from the bed, falling to the ground as well. I quickly tried to crawl away. The girl chased after me as I tried to escape.
"Please stop, you could die!" she called out.
I didn't know where I was going, I just had to lose her. I soon made a right and say an exit. I picked myself up and leapt towards the door.
Before I could open it, the door slid to the side and I saw a very tall man. "What the?" he said.
I had no time to wonder about who he was. I slid to the side and crawled out. At least, tried to.
The man picked me up and put me over his shoulder. "A flamboyant one she is, huh?"
I started to hit his back shouting, "Let me go! I need to escape!"
"Loud one, aren't ya?" he started to walk the way I ran from. I slapped his back really hard hoping he'd let me go. He didn't even react to any of my blows.
"How did you get all the way here by yourself? Must have been tough."

"Let me go!"
"There you are!" it was the same girl from before voice. The guy lifted me off his shoulder and placed me into his arms, like a bride.
"Your wound opened up. You're lucky you're not dead," she said. She had the bed I was in before next to her. The guy put me in the bed.
"Oi, I risked my life to save you. Be grateful!" he shouted flicking my forehead.
"Hey, be gentle!" the girl shouted.
"You can't talk to me like that!" he shouted back at her.
"And why can't I?" she fired back.
"I'm a pillar, that's why!"
They went back and forth. I slowly began to lose consciousness and went to sleep, at least I hope I did.

You were put in a separate room, where you eventually woke up. The guy from before was sitting next to you.
"You finally woke up," he said.
"Where am—?" you tried to get up but was stopping by striking pain.
"Argh!" you shouted.
"Would you stay down for crying out loud?! Sh*t, you could have died from blood loss," he yelled at you.
"Who are you?" you asked laying back down, slowly calming down.
"Tengen Uzui! The sound pillar!" he yelled, striking pose as well.
You blinked at his ridiculousness. Suddenly, you started laughing. It was as if all your worries were washed away.
"What's funny?" he asked as he stood normally.
"S-sorry. You just looked silly while doing that," you replied.
"You don't seem that frightened anymore," he said as he analyzed your behaviour.
You put your head down, folding your fingers together—tightening the grip. "I... I apologize. I was just overwhelmed by what happened."
He stared at you for a while, then chuckled. "No need to be sorry, anyone would react that way if they saw half of their leg missing," he said flicking your forehead again.

"Ouch," you said rubbing your forehead.
"I have to get going now. Don't give the girls here a hard time, you hear?" he said before leaving.
"I didn't even get to tell him my name..." you mumbled to yourself.
▪▫▪
Days have passed and the sound pillar came to visit you every day since you've arrived.
You couldn't help but realize you've falled for the man. Every time he'd come to see you, your heart would be sent on fire.
You liked how he always made flamboyant entrances.
You recently found out he had three wives. It didn't bother you, but it just made you uneasy. They seemed to notice that you were interested in Uzui. They'd come over sometimes and bond with you—which made you happy, along with someone else.
▪▫▪
In just a few weeks, you were getting better at using your crutches. Uzui would mostly hang out with you, sometimes you'd watch him spar with the other pillars.
At this point, everyone was aware of your feelings for the man, even him himself. Everyone would push you to admit it, but you wouldn't budge.
"[Name], I have something to say," Uzui said
"What is it?" you asked.
"Come with me. Let's speak in private," he said as he pulled you away.
He brought you into an empty place. No one could see you two or hear you at all. It was the perfect place to speak in private.
"What did you want to tell me, Uzui?" you asked.
"Well, I've been hearing rumours from other pillars that you like me~," he said.
Your cheeks turned pink. You turned your face and covered yourself.
"I-it must be a misunderstanding. Their just rumours—."
He cupped your face gently and pulled you closer. "I want to believe those rumours," he said to you.
He pulled your head in closer and kissed your forehead. Your heart popped out of your chest and your face was now red. He patted your head, ruffling your hair as well.
"Flamboyant!" he yelled just before leaving your flustered self.

Restart (Reborn as a Reluctant Demon Lord, Book 2)
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] This is book 2 of the series! If you haven't read book 1 (which you can find here https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/34776/new-game-reborn-as-a-reluctant-demon-lord-book) then you should probably do that first to avoid spoiling yourself in the synopsis. But that's just a suggestion. If you want to be confused, go ahead. Have I used enough space so that you can't see this in the preview yet? Okay, good. ----- For a [Demon Lord], not even death is the end. So, after death, I found myself revived once again in the world of Placeholder as a grotesque monstrosity. That was my first reincarnation, but it would not be anywhere near my last. Disillusioned with the admins and their quests, and wanting nothing more than to fix the mistakes of my past, I set out with a new goal in mind. To bring back the woman I loved. Or maybe... to ensure that she never died in the first place.

To him it's simply an abyss, or at least he thinks it is.. He doesn't actually know what an abyss looks like. But from the sounds of it, that's as close as he's gonna get to actually knowing what he sees. That is, until he enter's King's Wrath. Welcome one and all to Damon's story as he gains his sight after entering a game in which he must work hard to stay alive and fight to keep the one thing that will let him see what all other's take for granted. I am a first time writer and if you have any tips or if you spot any mistakes please let me know, as I will endeavour to make this story as shiny and polished as possible. Happy Reading!

Want to talk about it? Join my discord here!https://discord.gg/EWghT6Aa5R- Terraria is an awesome game developed by Re-Logic. I highly recommend checking it out if you have not heard of it before.- The story's cover and chapter banners are constructed from in-game screenshots with some image editing.- This is a fanfic based on the progression of the game and the official Terraria lore. The citizen characters are based on the NPCs, while the player characters are wholly my own creation.
