Izuku Midoriya has always been.....a bit different.

For one, he's the only orphan in his village. His mother was killed due to an illness that she called, "inevitable". And his father, he never met him really. But his mother Inko stated that he had died due to the same disease. That didn't have much evidence, but Deku went with it.

But that was years ago. Now, he lives by the woods with his childhood friend, Katsuki Bakugo. Since his parents' death, the blonde has been no short of overprotective and kind towards him.

And two; both he and Bakugo REALLY love scary stories. Lucky for them, the main talk of the town is the legend of UA. Along with famous monsters to boot; Present Mic, Eraserhead, Midnight, Ms.Joke, and All Might are some of the more well-known ones. The place they all live; UA, is an academy in the woods, which is said to be full of monsters and an underlying curse. The villagers say that once you go in there, you can't ever leave. Once you enter, you'll become a monster yourself. And that the monsters in there will send visitors into insanity until you've lost all memory of your past life.

But, Deku really doesn't believe all that. Why should he? Although...

.....at least some of it may be true.
