《Bite Me [Creek Love Story]》{Five}

"This is stupid! We're Juniors in High School! We should be out partying!" Clyde complained after another round of Mario Kart.
"You're only saying that because you keep losing," Token countered. We had been going at this game since school let out. Every round, I ended up in first place with Token close behind me. Clyde's spot varied from anywhere between fifth and twelfth place, though he did get to third on the Coconut Mall map.
I stood up, setting my Wii remote on the floor, "I'm leaving." I'd have to get to Harbucks soon or else I'd be late for work. It was Friday and since I didn't have work until around five I decided to spend the majority of that time with these two idiots. Surprisingly enough, it had actually been somewhat fun kicking their butts in a video game meant for children.
"See you later man," Token replied without even looking at me. He was picking a character for the next round.
"Wait! Take me with you!" Clyde jumped up and hurried over to me dramatically.
"Get back here, Clyde," Token said with a small sigh. He had decided on Dry Bones.
"But Token, you're so boring!" complained Clyde. I rolled my eyes and left before anything else could be said.
I had ended up at Harbucks in less than fifteen minutes. I quickly checked the time on my phone before sliding the device into my pocket and opening the doors to the coffee shop, taking in the smell of coffee beans and creamer. Mr. Tweak looked thankful that I was there, so I went to the back to grab my apron and messily tied it before going over to where he was taking orders. After the customer that he was helping left in order to wait for Tweek to make his coffee, I switched places with Mr. Tweak.
"I'll see you boys tomorrow," he stated before disappearing into the storage. And thus my night with Tweek began.
It wasn't anything important at first. Just like the other days after the incident during lunch, we hadn't spoken much to each other. It was nearing midnight now and the flow of customers seemed to die down dramatically, practically empty compare to when I first arrived. So naturally we both used this free time to our advantage. As always, despite the fact that I was a downright awful human being, he made me a Vanilla Latte to keep me awake. However, once he had set it down in front of me he sat across the table and stared into his coffee cup. Any other day he would have walked passed me and leaned against the counter or something.
Allowing myself to examine him, I noticed that he was fidgeting more than usual. He kept grabbing at the end of his long sleeved button up shirt and then his hands retreated back to his foam cup. He wasn't looking at me - in fact it seemed like he was trying hard to concentrate on anything but me - and he twitched every other second. When he refused to say anything, I decided I had had enough.

"Tweek," my sudden voice spooked him and he jolted. "What the hell is wrong with you tonight."
"I-I-I..." he bit down on his lip hard enough for it to draw blood and once he tasted it he started to freak out. "Oh GOD! I'm gonna bleed to death! Oh shit, man!" he grabbed at his hair and shot up, running to the napkins and pressing them down on his lip.
"Seriously," I breathed out before slowly getting to my feet and making my way toward him. He didn't notice me until I took the napkins out of his hands and pressed them to his lip for him since he kept dropping them to the dirty floor. "You'll be fine."
"Craig," Tweek started after I pulled the napkin away from his lip and threw it into the trash can. His eyes were big and glossy. "I.. I hate you."
I could feel my entire body tense as I stared at the trash can. It was weird, those words tumbling out of his mouth so freely. Still, I didn't have a right to be mad at him for having such feelings toward me. After a while I finally gained the strength to turn to him. All I could find myself doing is flipping him off with a blank - as always - stare. He flinched but didn't move from his spot. After a moment I let my hand dig itself a home in my pocket and I looked away from the boy.
"You probably should," I told him before grunting and walking back to my seat. Isn't my life just dandy?
So a few more customers and a change in weather later, it was nearing the break of dawn and man was I ready to go home and get some sleep. More and more customers began to pile in as it neared six o'clock and at seven Tweek and I were finally allowed to go home. The two of us silently walked into the back together and took off our aprons. He put his on the rack first and went to scurry out of the room when his phone went off.
"AH!!" He exclaimed, clearly not expecting someone to be calling him. Especially this early in the morning. I put my own apron away and watched as Tweek frantically pulled out his cell. H-Hello?"
Now at this point I was slowly walking passed him to get out of the back room and into the streets when his loud voice kept making me concentrate on what he was saying. I wasn't eavesdropping or anything, he was just a little too loud for his own good. That's all.
"Wh-what? No, why?" Silence. "D-dude, I don't think-" whoever had called him must have interrupted whatever it was he was about to say because there was another pause on his end. After a minute, Tweek finally spoke into the microphone. "Okay."

I walked passed him, suddenly bored with the entire conversation. I heard the click of his phone after I was in front of him. I walked passed the customers and through the doors, surprised to feel my own phone vibrate once I was halfway home. I took it out and saw that it was Token.
"Hey," I answered, still walking in the direction of my house.
"Hey, dude. You free tonight?" Token questioned. I stayed silent for a moment, trying to remember if I worked tonight or not.
"Depends," I said after a bit of silence. "What did you want?"
"Clyde and I were gonna hang out at my place--" Token was suddenly interrupted by the voice of Clyde himself.
"Token! Is that Craig on the phone? Tell him he has to come over since you're so boring," Clyde called. It sounded like he was on the other side of the room, so I was just barely able to hear him.
"Shut up," Token said, sounding like he had taken the phone away from his ear and was now looking at wherever Clyde was. After a moment of listening to the two argue I debated on just hanging up on him since I was nearing my house. Before I got the chance, Token's voice came clearly from the other end. "I don't want to be stuck with Clyde all night," he sighed, "so just think about it and text me later."
With that, he hung up.
The house looming above me was rather huge. It wasn't the type of place where you had to press a button on the gate to get in but it most definitely looked expensive. Most people who lived in South Park would pass and probably think to themselves; "Huh, I wish I was that rich." To me, it was just any ordinary home. After all, I did grow up spending my time in that house. I hated going to my own home where the only thing my family would do was argue and blame everything on one another. It got annoying after a while.
So yes, I did end up going to Token's house after sleeping a day away. But I was staring up at his house while wondering why the hell I had decided to come in the first places Maybe I should just turn around and go back home.
"Heyy!!! You gonna stand there forever or are you gonna ring the doorbell?!" called Clyde, who was hanging halfway out of the upstairs window and grinning down at me.
I flipped him off and silently hoped that he'd fall to his death before walking up the porch steps and knocking loudly on the door. Doorbells were overrated anyway.
A few minutes later I found myself in Token's room with Clyde hooking up Token's PS4 while the other two looked through his games. Eventually they decided on Tekken 7 and we took turns beating each other up. Token was better than me but both of us were better than Clyde so that made up for it.
"Dude, Token, I'm starving!" Clyde began to complain while Token and I were fighting against each other. It looked like I would win this one.
"Just go to the kitchen and get yourself something to eat," Token replied, not taking his eyes off of the screen.
"But your house is creepy," Clyde frowned.
"The Hell's wrong with my house?" his eyes flickered toward Clyde and in that moment I won the battle. A sigh escaped his lips as the flashing screen screamed 'K.O.' and he stood up, "Fine I'll go get some snacks. You hungry Craig?"
"Chips," was all I said to him, handing the remote to Clyde.
"Sweet!" Clyde exclaimed, jumping off the bed and sitting on the floor facing the television. We began to play another round and Token went downstairs.
Halfway through the fight I heard the doorbell ring and was slightly confused as to who it could be. I glanced at Clyde who was fully concentrated on the task at hand - it was as if he hadn't even heard the signal that someone was outside and requesting the assistance of whoever resided in the house.
I listened carefully to what was happening downstairs but the volume of the game was set pretty high, proving my intentions rather difficult. That is, until I could hear a pair of footsteps climbing up the stairs. Did they invite someone else? If I knew that there was no way I would have come. Three's a crowd, and I just straight up hate everyone else.
"Thanks for coming," Token was saying as they walked into the door.
There was silence, then what sounded like someone hitting their foot against a hard surface and that's also when I heard an all too familiar sound.
"GAH! Oh, shit!"
My head spun in the direction of whoever had made that noise and it was then that my thoughts were confirmed. Tweek Tweak was in the same exact room with me, Token, and Clyde.
