《The Alpha's Human Mate》Chapter 49 The Plan

Xavier's POV
"I'm going to rip his heat off," I seethed out. "I am going to absolutely torture him until he is making me for death, and then when he's finally at his end, I am going to make sure that the last thing he sees is his own headless body before I let him rote."
"Xavier! Wait!" Ivy shouted at me before I could go and kill Mr. Thomas.
"Ivy-" Hunter tried to stop her, but as the beta female, she was stronger than he was so she simply pushed past him.
"Don't go in there like this. Right now no one outside of this room knows that it was Mr. Thomas that took Addie. And if you go in there full-on Alpha mode and kill him, well then we might never find her." I let Ivy's words slowly sink in as she went on. "We need to make sure that Addison is safe and back in the house before you throw him in the dungeon, or else he might have something else up his sleeve if he knows that we know."
"Hunter," I turned fully to face him. "I need you to bring Brad, Audrey, Grayson, and my sister in here. If Mr. Thomas asks what we're doing then tell him that my wolf is in pain and can feel Addison starting to break the bond. He won't question that, he'll just think that I want my friends."
"Yes, Alpha," Hunter said firmly before unlocking the office door and letting it swing shut behind him.
"But the moon isn't nearly yup yet," Ivy said confused. "Mr. Thomas will know that you're lying. You wouldn't be able to feel Addie rejecting you yet."
"But Alpha's do," I shrugged.
"They do?" Ivy asked.
"No," I chuckled. "But Mr. Thomas doesn't know that, and if my parents hear Hunter say that then they'll know something is up and that we have a plan."
"And what exactly is this so-called plan?" Mrs. Avery asked out loud. She was still sitting tucked away in one of the grandfather chairs near my desk, but now she didn't look nearly as sad and worried as before. She looked pissed and ready to kill.

Before I could open my mouth to tell Mrs. Avery, Hunter and everyone else came walking through the office door looked beyond confused.
"What the hell is going on?" Grayson asked looking between me and Ivy. "Hunter just came and said that you needed us while we were talking with Mr. Thomas, and when he asked what was happening, Hunter said that you could feel Addie pulling away."
"That's not a thing," Cecelia shook her head, her eyes wide.
"I know," I said. "But it was the only way to get you all in here without drawing attention. And because Mr. Thomas heard that, it'll give us more time to save Addison."
"You found her?" Audrey gasped out. "Where is she?"
"Remember how when I was doing my beta female training with Mr. Thomas?" Ivy asked everyone. "And how afterwards near the end I was always saying how that I didn't like him and that he creeped me out? It was because he hates humans and thinks that having one in the pack, or even as a friend, will kill us all."
"He hates humans?" Brad questioned. "He never said anyone about that when I did some training with him."
"Yeah," Cecelia agreed. "He used to babysit Xavier and me when we were little and was nothing but nice."
"In one of my lessons on defence if the pack got attacked he told me about how his whole family was killed during an attack. His whole pack, actually. The next day he was asking me about school and how I was handling it with the training, and when I mentioned that I was taking a class on human history, he lost it," Ivy pushed out. "He went on and on about humans are the devil."
"Baby," Grayson took a few steps forward and pulled Ivy into his chest. "Why didn't you tell us? Why didn't you tell me?"
"Please," Ivy laughed bitterly. "He's a well-respected pack elder that babysits the Alpha's kids and helps to train the next generation of pack leaders. Nothing would have happened."

It was true. Mr. Thomas was highly respected in the pack, and if Ivy had told anyone what he told her, it wouldn't have been good.
". . . I still don't understand what the plan is to Addison back. . . " Audrey said looking around at all of us. "I mean, Mr. Thomas could have someone else holding her, like with Mr. Davis, he had a whole army of people. And, I hate to say it, but I don't know if we would have walked away just fine if they were wolves also."
"She's right," Brad nodded along with his mate. "If Mr. Thomas has anyone working with him or holding Addison then we have to assume that they're also a wolf. We know that he wouldn't work with a human."
"He has to be working alone," Mrs. Avery spoke up. "He wouldn't be able to trust anyone after what happened with his pack."
"What was he telling my parents happened?" I directed my question to Grasyon. "Did anyone else feel like all of this wasn't adding up?"
"Basically," Grayson began to break it all down. "Mr. Thomas is telling anyone that'll listen, which is everyone in the whole pack, that Addison came over to talk him about being Luna. That she was scared of you and everyone else and didn't think that she could live here with us all. He says that she lashed out and attacked him when he tried to talk her down, saying that we weren't so different. But apparently, Addison denied and then ran off."
"And the doctor?"
"Pack doctor said that his injuries aren't that bad, but he'll still need to rest because he can't heal as well as he would if he was younger."
"There is no way that Addison would have done any of that!" Cecelia defended her. "She saw us as her family. She never cared that we were wolves and she was human, she loves you, Xavier, and would never just runoff."
Hunter lightly pulled on the sleeve of Cecelia's shirt and let her stumble sideways slightly into his arms. "We know," he whispered into her ear, but we could all hear him. "She loves you like a sister and this pack as her family. We won't let Mr. Thomas get away with any of this."
"Xavier I think that you need to go in there and act as you believe him," Grayson said. "Play along while we go and save Addie."
"If I go in there right now I will rip his head off."
"You just need to do it until we have her, as soon as we do we'll mind-link you and then you can rip his head off," Grayson offered up.
"I'll stay with him too," Cecelia said. "I'll go back in there with him to make sure that Xavier stays under control and then I can also play off his mood as Addison trying to break the bond."
"I'll go in there too," Mrs. Avery declared.
"No-"
"Yes. I can go in there and apologize for Addison hurting him and tell him that my heart is broken after losing my daughter. It's what he wants to hear, and it'll give everyone more time. I'm going in there."
"Can you point out on a map where Blue Moon is?" I asked Mrs. Avery. She nodded firmly.
We're coming for you Addison, just hang on.
