《The Alpha's Human Mate》Chapter 32 From Friends, To Family, To Forever

I spent more time than I liked to admit picking my outfit out this morning to go over to the packhouse and see Xavier. And of course Cecelia too.
I had a whole speech planned out in my head. I had spent the whole morning and the drive to the packhouse talking to myself.
If anyone saw me they would think that I was crazy.
But hey! I have a boyfriend that turns into a giant wolf and is the leader of a whole bunch of other werewolves — so how much more crazy can I get?
Ivy and Audrey let me know that Xavier would most likely be locked away in his room. He had been avoiding the packhouse, not wanting to talk to anyone.
He had given me a spare key to his house, telling me to stop by whenever and that I was always welcome. Well, I really hope that Xavier still means that now because I'm literally standing on his front deck.
I quickly unlocked the front door before I could change my mind and chicken out. The only other car in the driveway was Xavier's truck, just like the girls said there'd be. Ivy and Audrey promised to take the boys away from their mopping best friend for a while so that we could talk without everyone there.
Xavier's parents, Mr. And Mrs. Black, we're spending all their time at the packhouse right now, doing all the paperwork and taking care of things.
"Xavier!" I called out through the house. "It's me."
I heard the sound of someone falling to the floor, and then pound footsteps stomping down the stairs before an out-of-breath Xavier spread in front of me. He was wearing a pair of grey sweatpants that were hanging dangerously low, and his brown hair somehow looked messy and perfect all at once.
How is it that even when I'm mad and sad with him that he still manages to make my heart flutter?
"Hey," Xavier said trying to act causal. "Uh-" he went to take a step closer to me, but somehow tripped over nothing and almost face-planted. "Hey, how are you? I was just, you know, uh-"
I cut him off before he could make an even bigger fool of himself. "I miss you," I said cutting straight to the point.
Xavier's face softens immediately at my words. It was hard to see him as a big, bad alpha when he looked like a lost puppy right now.
"And I'm sorry," I went on. "I know how much you care about me and that you were doing the right thing."
"Addison," Xavier said. "I only ever want you to be safe, and I failed you. I let you get taken and hurt and I'll never forgive myself for that."
"It wasn't your fault-"
"Yes, it was," Xavier cut me off. "And I know that it was. Addie," he said softly taking a slam step closer. "None of this would have happened if I didn't drag you into all of this. You wouldn't have to worry about werewolves, or crazy hunters wanting to hurt you, or any of this. You wouldn't have been laying in the hospital or be covered in cuts and bruises."

I could hear the slight break in his voice as he spoke. It was just like how my mom described it to me. That Xavier would do anything to make sure that I was safe.
"If you want to walk away and move back to Arizona, or if you want to stay here in Midnight Creek and be friends and break up," or I could see the tears starting to gather in the corners of Xavier's eyes. "Or if you want to ignore me and go on and date someone else and marry them and have a family and kids then I'll understand, Addison. I'll understand and I'll support you and I'll look after your kids so you can go on date nights."
My mom and Ivy and Audrey all said that I would know. That I would just know. And now I know. Having everyone tell me that Xavier would do anything was nothing compared to hearing him say it himself. To actually hear that he would sit back and let me be happy even if it wasn't with him. I knew that in that rambled-on apology that I loved him. I was in love with Xavier Black.
Without a second thought, I launched myself into his chest. I wrapped my arms as tight as I could around his waist and hurried my face right above his heart.
Xavier didn't wait either and wrapped his arms around me too. His face was pressed tightly into the crook of my neck and he picked me off the ground slightly.
"I love you," I said.
"I love you too, Addison," Xavier mumbled back. "And I always have from the second I saw you sitting there in the cafeteria and I always will until the end of forever."
If it was even possible, Xavier held me even tighter and closer. I could feel the smile growing on his face as he spins me around the room. My hair whipping a prune behind us.
"Ok, ok," I laughed starting to get dizzy. "Now please put me down before I pass out."
"Sorry," Xavier said quickly sorting me down right away.
"So we're ok?"
"We're golden, princess," Xavier mumbled pressing a few kisses against my forehead.
"There's still something I want to talk about," I said. "Andrew. And I know that last time I brought the subject of him up to you it kind of caused all of this." I could feel my cheeks start to glow red.
"I should have listened to you," Xavier said leading the both of us to the love seat in the living room. "And I'm sorry that I didn't. I was just so scared that I almost you and I couldn't stand to think that he may have hurt you or brainwashed you."
"I'm not mad," I told him honestly. "Anymore. But, I understand, Xavier. I really do."

"He's ok," he said so softly that I wasn't sure I heard him at first.
"What?"
"Andrew, he's ok. After my sister threatened to drown me out in the creek I took a step back and actually sent Grayson to talk to him."
"Grayson?" I questioned. "Why him?"
"Because even though I didn't want Cecelia to kill me, I still wasn't ready to talk to the guy face to face," he told me. I could see the slight pink tint on his ears as he spoke, he obviously didn't really want to tell me that he sent Grayson instead of himself, but I was so beyond grateful nonetheless.
"Thank you," I pressed a quick kiss to his cheek. "For listening to me."
"I'll always listen to you, Addie."
"Then I really hope you listen to me right now when I say that you have to stop mopping around and actually go to the packhouse and do all that paperwork."
"Who told you?" Xavier asked flabbergasted.
I gave him a pointed look. "Stop avoiding it. You know that I'm right."
"It was Ivy and Audrey, wasn't it?"
"It doesn't matter," I rolled my eyes at him. "All that does is that you go back to being an alpha."
"Only if you agree to be my Luna." Xavier shot back. "I know that before all of this you said that you would, but-"
"I love you, Xavier. And that means that I'll always be by your side and that of course, I'll be your Luna."
"Ok good," he let out a big sigh. "Because I think that if you said no I'd have to go into hiding from my mother."
"Oh?" I asked. "Not your sister too?"
"I keep my door locked when she's home," Xavier confessed.
"Such a big, bad, scary werewolf," I teased.
"Don't tell anyone," he pleaded. "Cecelia would never let me live it down."
I started laughing at the thought of Xavier being scared of his little sister. "You're secret is safe with me."
The two of us sat in the living room, my legs thrown over Xavier's lap and his fingers drawing small lines all up and down my legs. I could feel the faint trail of sparks being left behind underneath my leggings. It was starting to rain outside so we listened to the sound of the water drops pelting the window as Xavier whispered over and over how much he loved me. My cheeks hurt from smiling so much.
"I swear if he's still locking away in his room I'm going to break the door down," Cecelia's voice boomed through the house as the front door flew open. "Xavier!"
I winced at the loud sounds and Cecelia's heavy footsteps. "Some of us are human and don't appreciate you bursting out eardrums."
"Addie!" Cecelia squealed. "You're here." She wasted no time at all in running into the living room and pulling me up from the love seat and into a bone-crushing hug.
"I'm sorry," I said as I wrapped my arms around her. "I'm sorry that I didn't talk to you and that I just completely ignored you and was an awful sister."
"I missed you," she said her voice cracking. "But I knew that you needed space and I didn't know if that meant space from my brother or me too."
"Hey," I said pulling back from our hug, my arms still around her. "It's ok. I just needed some time and honestly, I didn't even know who I needed time from. I just needed to think, but now I've thought and I know. I'm not going anywhere, Cecelia."
"Good," Cecelia smiled. "Because I don't know what I would do without you."
"You're my sister," I told her honestly.
"You're mine too."
"And what am I?" Xavier spoke up. "Chopped liver?" He joked.
"This isn't about you," Cecelia shot back to him. "This is between me and my sister."
"She's my mate!"
"Whatever," Cecelia rolled her eyes.
I laughed silently as the brother and sister bickered back and forth.
I quietly sat back down beside Xavier, who wrapped an arm around my waist and pulled me into his lap as he teased his sister.
"Did y'all makeup yet?!" Ivy screamed as she walked in the front door.
"You're going to make me deaf if you keep yelling," Grayson whined.
"Good." I could hear the eye roll in Ivy's voice.
"Living room," I called back.
"So?" Audrey asked trailing behind Ivy. As she, Grayson, and Brad all pulled into the living room. "Should we take that as a yes?"
"Yes."
"Whoo-hoo!" Grayson and Brad cheered high-fiving each other.
"Finally!" Audrey celebrated.
"Yay!"
"It's good to see you guys too," I smiled brightly.
And it really was. I was with my family.

(Villain Deku; My Hero Academia Fanfic) Think to yourself, just this one little question-"What if the Sludge Villain never got away?" (When a bottle doesn't drop to the floor, a world is changed forevermore) Izuku Midoriya was an ordinary kid in an extraordinary world; one of heroes, quirks, and promises of glory to all that dared to reach out for it. If you had a good quirk, that is. And destiny had that all wrapped up in a nice little package for him until something shifted. It was a minor cog that deviated in the clockwork of destiny, nothing significant in the scheme of things. But, as it turned out, even the most minor of cogs could cause a glitch in the machine. A fracture in fate. And what do you get with fractured fate? Why, who knows? The road he would walk upon in the future, whether it be one of thorns or sunshine, would be decided by him and him alone. "Life is composed of decisions and perspective. The scenario is irrelevant; one can dance in the rain or cry in it. Thus, the person we are and can become is a product of it as well. That is the very essence of life." Would he be a savior? A villain?Or something else entirely? That is the true question. Warnings: Gore, Murder, Suicide, Bullying, Depression, Self-harm.
