《The Alpha's Human Mate》Chapter 23 Xavier's POV

What the hell was that?

Did he just kiss her? Did that guy just kiss my mate? Oh, I was going to kill him.

I made a move to push my chair back and stand up, but both Brad and Grayson grabbed one of my shoulders and pushed me farther back into my chair.

"Don't make a scene," Grayson whisper yelled in my heart over the sound of everyone clapping and Mr. Hnason announcing the next group.

"He just kissed her!" I snapped back. "I'm not just going to sit here and listen to the next act, I'm going to go backstage and beat the living hell out of that guy."

"Or you could try and not kill him and go talk to Addison instead," Brad suggested while keeping me pinned in my seat.

"Or I could do both," I spat at my two best friends before managing to rip their hands off of me and storm backstage. I did my best to avoid the eyes of all the human teachers, knowing that the werewolf ones wouldn't dare try and stop their Alpha, especially when I was fuming.

I could hear Grayson and brad's footsteps trailing behind me and I silently made my way backstage in search of my girlfriend and that stupid human boy.

"What's your plan, man?" Brad asked me once he caught up finally. "Just walk back here and shift in front of everyone? Or better yet drag his ass outside and beat him up and then blame it on a mountain lion attack?"

"Ivy!" I shouted once I found her standing off to the side furiously texting away,

I received a few 'shh's' in return from various students that looked annoyed. Like I was the bad guy.

"Where is she?" I demanded. "Where's Addison and that boy?"

"Ok, you need to calm down, Xavier. Because whatever it was that just happened on stage wasn't planned out. And I know that Addison would never go around kissing other guys." Ivy stuck up for her best friend and future luna.

If I wasn't seeing red right now and I would be touched by how much she already cared about Addison.

"Well, she didn't look like she was trying to stop it either," I bite back.

"Look," Ivy let out a long sigh. "I don't know where she is. When I exited the stage I made my way towards the side, where I was waiting for her before everyone started to crowd around the curtain and long at what was happening. By the time I managed to push my way up front she was gone and so was Andrew."

"Well did you check the dressing rooms?" Grayson asked confused.

"Of course I did," Ivy told us. "But she wasn't there. Her bag is though, but she's not."

My heart was breaking. Why would Addison just kiss that guy and then leave? That wasn't like her. If she wasn't ready for everyone she could have told me, she could have asked for a pause or to just be friends. Sure, I wouldn't be happy but would do anything to keep her happy and close to me. Hell, I would die for her.

"Maybe she's in the girls' room?" Brad suggested.

"I'll go check," Ivy said right away before turning on her hell and making a bee-line for the nearest girls' room.

"Wait wasn't Andrew that same guy that Addison reeked off not long ago?" Grayson asked out loud.

"None of this make's sense," I told my boys. I felt like I could cry. "Why would she do all of this? I mean I just met her mom and everything."

"She's not in any of the bathrooms," Ivy announced half running, half walking back to us.

"Then where could she be?"

"I'm going to change out of this awful dress and then we can meet up again in the library." Ivy gave us no room for argument before leaving.

"Maybe mind link, Audrey?" I suggested to Brad. "Maybe Addison went to go see her."

Brad's eye's glazed over for a brief moment before he shook his head. "She hasn't heard from her either."

I felt like I need to punch something.

"Ok, let's go," Ivy was already grabbing hold of Grayson's hand pulling him along with her. Brad and myself training closely behind. "We can check the library, and then her car and we can always call her mom and stop by her house if we need to."

Addison wasn't in the library, and we could all still see her car parked out front right beside my truck where she left it this morning.

"Let's at least go and see if she grabbed her backpack and clothes," Audrey suggested already getting from the table and going to make her way back to the theatre.

It was almost lunchtime now and we still haven't heard a word from Addison. The next step was to go by her house and check with her mom.

"Isn't that Addison's bag?" Grayson asked already walking over to it.

It was. Faded black with a few pins stuck into the straps. It was Addison's.

"So that has to mean that she heard us coming, dropped her bag and ran, right?" Brad said confused.

But then I felt my heart stop. I saw the scattered chairs right beside the door, and then I smelt the blood. Addison's blood.

"Something happened," I whispered. "That's her blood."

"I'll mind link Hunter and Jackson to go do a look around the school and see if she's nearby. If they don't find her will send out the rest of the trackers and warriors to look for her. She can't have made it far yet," Brad said as teh voice of reason. There was a reason that he was in change of the trackers and warriors.

"It looks like maybe she came back to change, saw someone or something, got scared and made a run for it. But before she could whoever or whatever it was pushed her and she hurt herself," Ivy said trying to make sense of what could have happened. "She would never go willingly with someone she didn't trust."

"Which means that she's injured," I interjected. "And I bet that that Andrew guy has something to do without."

"Wait, Xavier!" Audrey yelled. "Where do you think you're going?"

"To get some answers," I spite back. "To find my mate."

I was too late. By the time I made it to the school office to ask what class Andrew was in the front secretary told me that he had already checked out. Just before the end of first period to be exact. Thankfully the secretary was also a werewolf and member of my pack so it didn't take much for her to give me the guy's home address so I could go and find him.

"Alpha!" I heard a shout from behind me, but I was too determined to find Addison to stop for a second.

"Xavier!" Ivy yelled at the top of her lungs. Now, this had me stop dead in my tracks, for being so small, Ivy was scary.

"I'm busy," I said turning my head slightly before I kept walking.

"Hunter picked up her scent but lost it in the parking lot. Someone took her, Xavier."

"I'm on my way to Andrew's house to tear him apart," I muttered. I could feel my wolf wanting to surface, he was craving his mate and so was I.

"It wasn't him, Xavier. They found Andrew at the cafe on Second and she wasn't with him. He didn't even smell like her. it's someone else," Brad said. "And we need to put all our effort and time into finding her. So get your head out of your ass and drop this little manhunt and help us find Addison."

"Whoever took her is going to suffer," I promised. "And I'm going to love every second of it."
