The ninja left Ren at camp while they, Lloyd, and Len head to the castle. Len led them through a backway that he often uses to sneak out of the castle.

"Once when I was little I snuck out and it almost got me killed" Len told Lloyd "but mother saved me and then I never snuck out again without Ren with me"

"Your mother really cares about you two doesn't she?" Lloyd asks happily

"she does" Len replies "it's a shame things turned out this way"

"It's the future she saw in the maze" Cole says

"What maze?" Lloyd asks

"Back when you were possessed by Morro remember the maze, if you looked into the crystals it showed your future, this must've been the future Aria was afraid of" Zane explains

"that explains the 50/50 chance of me returning" Lloyd says

"well let's beat the odds and get you back home dad" Len says "I certainly would've preferred to be raised by you and mom"

"I'm going to return" Lloyd declared "I'll save your mother, Ren, and you. I won't let this be the future"

They entered the castle and rushed down some stairs before entering the underground garden of resurrection. In the center was the resurrection lake, around it was 5 glowing pedestals with the items of resurrection placed on them.

"there they are" Lloyd said pointing to the two pedestals that held the time blades

"Which one is past?" Len asks

"that one" Zane said point to one

They heard a smashing noise and looked over to see Kai and Jay destroying the items of resurrection.

Lloyd's eyes widened "Guys no! What are you doing?"

"We're finishing this" Kai said

"well well well"

They all turned to see Aria and Ren behind them.

"The rebels were able to turn my own son against me" Aria said as her eyes glowed purple

"Ren!" Len shouts

"You're not my brother anymore" Ren says angrily

"You killed Nya!" Jay shouts angrily

"She got in my way" Aria simply replies

"Aria how could you?" Lloyd asks sadly

"I did what I had to" Aria replies

"Well now you're going to pay" Kai says before destroying the last pedestal

"No!" Aria and Lloyd shout

The lake in the middle of the garden turns black and all the surrounding plants die.

Kai and Jay take a fighting stance "it's time for you to die Blood Empress"
