The Ninja are still stuck on the Dark Island. Dr. Julien finishes bandaging Lloyd's leg.

"Can I still fight?" Lloyd asked

"Hmm, I'm sorry. That leg will take weeks to heal" Julian replied

"We don't have weeks" Lloyd grunts

"The battle between good and evil will be decided today" Wu said

"And we can't even get to the fight, much less get off this island" Kai said kicking a rock

"I can" Aria said "I can teleport"

"That's great" Cole said happily "then we can-"

"Only myself" Aria interrupted "I can't teleport with anyone"

"then we will count on you to handle things until we can get there" Wu said

Aria nodded and kneeled down in front of Lloyd "No matter how dark it may seem, remember you can always turn on the light"

Lloyd smiled "thanks"

"...did anyone else understand what she said?" Jay asked

Wu chuckled "you're becoming very wise Aria"

"I had good teachers" Aria said as she stood up "I'll see you boys at the fight"

Aria stood in front of her dad "you turned into a dragon"

"This is my true form" the Overlord said

"Daddy stop all of this please" Aria begged "Mama was happy how we were, we lived in peace. I need my dad, so please stop."

"I can't, this is my destiny" the Overlord said "I was born for this reason"

"I don't want you to die again" Aria cried

The Overlord lifted his wing, Aria ran and hugged him.

"The final battle approaches soon, I won't lose" the Overlord said

Aria cried more "Daddy please, stop. Their's still time to change, you don't have to be evil"

"Do not cry my child" The Overlord said "I want to see my daughter smile, please"

"ok daddy" Aria laid with her father and smiled, for him

The Overlord had doubled in size, the dark matter had fully settled into Aria and she was looking very pale.

"Daddy, my heart hurts" Aria said curling up against him

"I know sweetie, hold on a bit longer" the Overlord said then noticed her closing her eyes "hey keep your eyes open!"

Aria fell unconscious and the overlord growled "those stupid ninja better hurry up.

He noticed a dragon appear in the sky, the ninja finally arrived. He covered Aria with his wing. After they land he blasts some Dark Matter toward their direction.

"Look out, Jay!" Kai shouted moving him

"The metamorphosis is complete. The Overlord's changed into his original form" Misako points toward the top of the building where the Overlord is.

"We have my father's Golden mech. We have to draw their fire to help Lloyd use the mech against the Overlord" Wu said

The Ninja, Wu, and Misako fly on the Dragon. The Stone Army fires at them, they dodge.

"The Stone Army is protecting its master. They will never let Lloyd get close" Misako said

"where is Aria?" Kai questioned

"The Overlord might have her, look" Misako pointed up, one of the Overlord's wings were fold and the other was out covering something on the floor

"Then let's go" Kai said

"Time to bring out the big buttons" Lloyd slashes at a group of Stone Warriors "Ninja—" The mech's arm gets shot off. Nya laughs and keeps shooting at him until he falls over.

With the Green Ninja pinned down, the Ninja jump off the Ultra Dragon to fend off the advancing Stone Army

The ninja head up the fortress.

"Look out!" Cole gets hit with Dark Matter.

"Cole, come on. Get up!' Lloyd shouts

"Ugh. I'm hit. Go! Go on... without me." Cole commands

"We need to move. Now!" Kai shouted and they continued up

Jay pushes Lloyd before he gets hit with Dark Matter, taking the shot instead.

"Get out of the way!" Jay shouts

"Don't look! Just keep climbing!" Kai shouted

They quickly continued up

"Ugh. From my calculations, with the distance remaining to the top, the odds are that only one of us is going to make it" Zane said

Jay and Cole have been corrupted by Darkness and come after them, holding up their Elemental Blades.

"Go on. I'll hold them back" Zane says

They both attempt to strike Zane, but he blocks the blades with his own. Lloyd and Kai continue up the steps and encounter a corrupted Nya inside a machine. She cackles maniacally.

"Nya!" Kai shouts "I'm gonna draw her fire so you can make it to the top"

Nya starts shooting Darkness at Kai and Lloyd. Kai blocks the darkness with his Elemental Blade.

"No, don't! We can do this together" Lloyd said

Kai shook his head "No. There's only one Green Ninja. This is your fight"

Lloyd makes it to the top of the building and confronts the Overlord.

"I have come here to fight you!" Lloyd shouts

"You're in no shape to fight. It's over. Evil wins" the Overlord said

"A ninja never quits!" Lloyd shouted

The Overlord laughs "You don't even have a sword"

"I don't need a sword" Lloyd surrounds himself with his Energy, creating a force field.

"Then all I have to say is... goodbye" The Overlord opens his mouth and blasts Lloyd with Darkness, nearly pushing him off the building.

Lloyd's Energy force field grows, harming the Overlord. Lloyd becomes the Ultimate Spinjitzu Master. Lloyd's gi has changed to a golden color. The Overlord swipes at Lloyd and the latter is pushed back. Lloyd blocks his wing and is kicked backward. Lloyd counterattacks. He kicks the Overlord, sending him back.

Lloyd summons his Golden Dragon.

"You can't defeat me. Where there is Light, there will always be Shadow!" The Overlord shouted

"Unless my light is bright enough!" Lloyd shouts

The Golden Dragon tackles the Overlord, and they are both sent falling downward. Both dragons nearly crash into Dareth. The latter covers his head. The two dragons move upward. The Overlord surrounds Lloyd with a cloud of Shadow, allowing himself to grow in size. The Overlord starts laughing and attempts to devour Lloyd, however, the latter starts resisting.

"No. No! NO! NOOO!" The Overlord shouts as Lloyd uses Golden Power to defeat the Overlord. The Overlord implodes, and the fog engulfing entire city disappears with everyone who was corrupted is turned back to normal.

"Ugh. What happened?" Kai questioned rubbing his head

Kai and Jay see Nya back to normal "Nya!" They run towards her.

They both hug Nya.

Cole helps Zane get up "Come here, you tin can" He hugs Zane.

"Is this really happening? We did it?" Julian questioned

"We did it. You did it. I did it! Heck, who didn't do it!?" Dareth shouts

"Yeah. But where's Lloyd?" Kai asked

Lloyd flies down on his Dragon.

"Lloyd! " They all shouted as he hopped off

"You were brilliant, son" Misako said hugging him

"Because of you, Ninjago was saved. Because of you, there will be a tomorrow" Wu smiled

"Uh guys, heads up" Jay said pointing up to a bunch of darkness in the sky

"What's happening, this isn't in the prophecy" Misako said worried

The darkness all started going down, everyone closed their eyes When nothing happened they opened their eyes to see the darkness is gone.

"What happened?" Zane asked

"SENSEI" They heard a voice scream

Kai smiled "That sounds like-"

"Aria" Lloyd said happily

Aria came round a building and ran over to them.

The ninja's stared at her as she went to Wu "I. have. horns!"

"yes, yes you do" Wu said

"Why!" Aria shouted

"just hide them, focus your energy on your horns and imagine them disappearing" Wu instructed

Aria closed her eyes and after a bit the horns disappeared. Aria opened her eyes and smiled.

"i'm back" Aria said happy "And I can do this now"

Aria ran and hugged Lloyd immediately. Then she went and tackled the other ninjas too.

"If the Overlord ever decides to show his face around here again we'll be ready" Kai said

"And next time, we'll be a little more humble" Cole continued

"And a little more wise" Zane added

"And with better catchphrases" Jay said

Aria smirked "And without being saved by me a million times"

They all start laughing but Lloyd. Misako sees Lloyd frowning.

"Me will all miss your father" Misako said comforting him

From behind them, Garmadon emerges from a pile of rocks and approaches them limping. He has been purified by Golden Power.

"Lloyd" Garmadon called "What... what happened?"

"Garmadon, is it really you?" Misako asked

"Dad? Dad!" Lloyd runs and embraces him.

"Every ounce of evil and venom is... gone" Misako embraces Garmadon.

"I feel good. It's been so long" Garmadon says

Wu smiles "Good to have you back, brother"

"Wu! Good to be back" Garmadon says happily

As the family walked away the other ninjas grouped together

"Aw, would you look at that? Who would have thought we'd ever see the day? You think we should dogpile them?" Jay questions

"Let's give them their moment. They earned it" Kai replied

"It's been quite a ride" Cole said

"We worked hard to get to this point" Aria said

"You think there will be others?" Zane asked

"I hope so. I liked being a ninja. It's not like we have many other skills" Cole said

Jay laugehd "Ha, speak for yourself, I'm looking forward to doing a little inventing, maybe some model building, dabble in poetry—"

"And with your master degree in annoyance you'll fit right in with the other rejects" Aria smirked

The others laughed

"But Jay's right. We've come a long way and there's no reason why we can't use what we've learned in our everyday lives. And who knows? We may have gotten the balance right today, but there's always tomorrow. There's no way of knowing what's around the corner. But as long as there's something worth fighting for, there's always a need for a ninja. And we'll be ready" Kai said

Aria smiled "I'm glad to have such loving brothers as my family"

The 4 ninja hugged her and Lloyd came over.

"hey... Aria" Lloyd said looking kinda embarassed

She turned to him "yeah?"

"can we um.. I was wondering if...." Lloyd's face was red

The ninja laughed and Aria looked at Lloyd

"what?" Aria asked

"...well back on the island we... um..." Lloyd took a deep breath "I was wondering if we could try that kiss again"

Aria laughed "come here greenie"

Lloyd smiled and kissed he, Jay squealed and the ninja gave him a questioning look.

"I ship it" Jay said happily and the ninja laughed

"So what now?" Aria asked

"Wherever life takes us" Lloyd replied kissing her forehead

Aria smiled "perfect"
