《Blind | The Blind Ninja: Book I | Naruto》17: Forest of Death

No One's POV
Naruto looked upon the forest with his hand above his eyes, shielding the sun away.
Sakura was very worried about it though "There's something kind of creepy about this place..."
Anko chuckled "This place is called the Forest of Death, you'll soon realize why.
Naruto huffed and stuck his butt out, mimicking Anko "'The Forest of Death, you'll soon realize why.'" he smirked "That kind of threat won't work on me one bit!"
Sasuke and Sakura looked away, shaking there heads ashamed of their teammate. Umiko laughed nervously and rubbed the back of her head.
He pointed a finger to her "I'm not scared!"
Anko smiled sweetly and tiled her head to the side "Really? You've got a lot of energy."
In a flash, a kunai whizzed past Naruto's cheek, making a small slit. It grazed the hair of a someone from the village hidden in the grass.
Anko appeared behind him "A kid like you dies at the very beginning," She grabbed the side of her cheek with one hand, "dappled with the red blood I like."
She used her other hand to touch the blood. Then, she was alert again and a kunai appeared in her hand.
A long tongue appeared with a kunai in it. It was the woman whose strand of hair was cut off. Anko smiled sweetly at her.
"I'm returning your...kunai."
"Thank you for taking the trouble..." Anko thanked.
With this distraction, Umiko raced forward and grabbed Naruto, bridal style, as swiftly and carefully as possible. She landed where her other teammates were and glared at Anko.
Anko gasped as the boy in front of her disappeared. She looked at the blind ninja who was glaring at her and narrowed her eyes 'She's fast'

Umiko then grinned as she got and idea as she saw Hinata worrying for Naruto. She zoomed over to Hinata and grinned proudly "Do not worry, Hinata-chan! I have your precious Naruto right here!"
Hinata turned beet red "U-Umiko-san...!"
"Don't worry Hinata-chan!" She whispered "I'm not trying to take him from you. I don't even know what you people look like!"
Hinata turned 10 times redder, if possible.
--
After everyone filled out their applications forms and turned them in, everyone team stood in front of their gate, blood pumping in their veins.
Well, Umiko was the only one who was the only one who was alone with a earth scroll. Once the gate were opened, she dashed right in.
She 'looked' behind her to 'see' her old team just standing there, staring at the forest beyond them.
She sweatdropped 'Those idiots...are they trying to look cool?'
After a few minutes of jumping around on trees, Umiko found a small clearing and landed on it.
She rummaged through her bag for something, before she touched it. She smiled brightly 'Found it!'
She pulled it out to reveal...

Potato chips!
She grinned and opened the bag, smelling the sweet smell of the saltiness of the chips. She started to drool "Itadakimasu!"
She picked one up and before she got to take a bite, shuriken came from the tree and Umiko moved back, avoiding it as it hit a tree.
"So you sensed us?" A voice asked.
"Yeah. Long ago." She said without turning their direction. She ate the chip in her hand and moved the bag towards the enemies way "Want some?"
He scoffed "Stop bluffing. Hand us your scroll and we'll spare your lives. Little girl."
"Ok. Here." She took a fake scroll from her pocket and held it out.

He smirked "Way to ea-"
"Little girl, you say?" Umiko said sweetly as she was behind him.
"Dai-!" One of their teammates cried out.
She kicked him in the back, taking another chip and popping in in her mouth. She jumped down, cackling evilly.
She kicked him up in the air, jabbing his sides with a kunai in her left hand.
"GUH!" He cried out in pain.
Once she was done, her chip bag was almost finished. She smirked at the two in the tree, cowering in fear "You're just gonna stand there and watch your teammate get hurt?"
Suddenly, a cold metal was placed on her neck "Give us your scroll, or we won't hurt you." A voice rasped.
"Huh. Like I just did to your friend over there?" She questioned raising a eyebrow.
He placed in deeper in her neck, drawing a line of blood "I'm not playing.."
His other teammate was worrying for the one she hurt, who was crying in pain.
And then she did the stupidest thing ever. She grabbed the kunai with her bare hand, not wincing when she felt liquid on her hand "Neither am I."
Kalseru was already healing her hand and neck.
The guy gasped in horror. She twirled the kunai in her hand and plunged it deep in the enemies chest.
He screamed in pain and collapsed on the floor.
"Mal!" The last enemy screamed.
She turned to the third enemy, slowly walking towards him. She had finished the bag of potato chips, so it was long gone.
She stopped right in front of him, staring.
"Please! Take our scroll and leave! Please!" He begged, holding a heaven scroll. She sighed and took the heaven scroll.
"I didn't want to do this." She walked over to the person who she plunged a kunai in his chest and carried him to him as she took the kunai out of him.
She set him on the ground as the guy whimpered "H-He's dead..."
"No he's not."
"B-But..."
She made hand signs and slammed them on the ground "Healing mist." She whispered.

A mist of green healing chakra came and healed the person, looking like nothing happend.
She walked over to the other guy and hovered her hand above his wounds. Green chakra poured out.
Once she was done healing, she stood up and smiled at him "They should be fine now. My name's Umiko. What's yours?"
"K-Kazuka..." He replied nervously.
Her smile got softer "Well, I hope you collect more scrolls when your team wakes up. I want to see you in the third round." She made a handsign and a clone appeared.
"She'll help you carry your friends to the infirmary. Bye!"
And dashed off.
"B-Bye..." He waved shyly to her.
