《Blind | The Blind Ninja: Book I | Naruto》2: Training

Umiko's POV
"Ne, ne, Kakashi Onni-san, where are we going?" I asked.
"Oh. We're going to my house to train, and then I'll take you to your apartment."
"Oh."
I felt him stop and open the door. He walked in and placed me on the ground.
"Stay here." I felt his footsteps go upstairs and I placed my bag down.
I took out my new white dress with sleeves that me and Kakashi (he picked it out) bought before we came. It stopped above my knees and I always like to wear a red cloak over it for some reason. But, when I was traveling from village to village, I got multiple scars on my arms from my wrist and above. So the sleeves of my dress are useful.
I heard footsteps come downstairs. "Hey, Umiko, we're gonna train and figure out your chakra, okay?"
"Okay! But where's the bathroom I need to change." I asked.
He lead me to a room and opened the door. "Thanks!"
I headed in and shut the door. I stripped off my clothes and wrapped off my bandages. I opened my eyes and saw black. I sighed and felt for the faucet in the shower. Once it was warm, I stepped in and let the water fall over me. Haven't had this in a long time. I turned it off and felt for the hair shampoo.
I grabbed a bottle and traced my fingers over the bottle. I felt the word shampoo. You see, I'm blind so I have to feel the letters of words to know what I'm reading.
I opened it and smelt it. Kiwis. I squeezed a good amount of my hand and rubbed it on my scalp. After that I grabbed another that that worded 'conditioner' whatever that meant and rubbed it on my head.

After I was done rubbing it, there were no knots in my hair and grabbed a soap bar. After my shower, I dried it and wore my clothes and wrapped new bandages around my eyes. I packed 20 kunais, 20 shurikens, sebon needles, and paper bombs.
I walked back out and felt Kakashi done.
"Done?" I nodded.
"Let's go to the training grounds." I followed him out the door and felt him look at me.
"Umiko?" He asked.
"Hm?"
"How do you know where I'm going and when you walked up to the hokage to hug him?" He asked, curious.
"Well, I feel the vibration of my feet, that's why I don't wear shoes. I can also smell and hear everything so I know who is who." I explained.
"Oh." He stopped in his tracks and I followed.
"We're here."
"I can see that. So what first?" I asked.
"First we need to know what element you use for your chakra. Here." He handed me a peice of small paper.
"Concentrate your chakra into the peice of paper. Chakra is blue, so imagine a blue flame traveling to your arm. If it burns, fire. When it's wet, water. Cuts in half, wind. Wrinkles, lightning and if it crumbles, earth." He said.
I concentrated and imagined a blue flame in my body, traveling to my arm.
I felt the paper get wrinkled, then, crumbled, went up in flames, wet, and cut in half.
We both gasped. "All the five elements?" I asked.
"Apparently. So now, you need to know how to throw a kunai." I took one out.
"Now," He got up and I heard him take out one for himself. "Feel my movements." I felt him spin and throw the kunai into a tree.

I swirled on my feet and threw the kunai. I heard a 'THUMP' and a gasp.
"What?" I asked.
"Nothing. You just made it in one shot. Now let's get started to your chakra. But." He said.
"But what?" I tilted my head to the side.
"You have to let me see your eyes." He said.
I quickly covered my hand on my bandages. "No! Whenever someone looks into my eyes, they feel pain! I don't want to do it to you!"
"What do you mean?" He asked.
"Well, when I was traveling, a kid in a village took off them and he stared at me. Then he started to scream and shout, 'IT HURTS! IT HURTS!' I was confused but it was my eyes. Then he died of too much of it. I don't know what it is or how to control it." I sadly explained.
I felt him stare at me and go in shock. "O-Oh. Well, I think I know how to stop it."
"Really?!" I smiled.
He chuckled. "Yes. First take them off and open your eyes. You don't really want to hurt me do you, Umiko." I shook my head.
"I don't want to hurt my Onni-san." I said.
"Ok well, picture you not wanting to hurt me and we'll see how it works, ok?"
"Ok." I slowly unwrapped the bandages, and dropped them to the side. I slowly opened my eyes and saw black.
"Ok, go Umiko! Picture you not to hurt me." He struggled to say.
I kept my eyes open and pictured to not hurt my Onni-san. I lowered the chakra out of my eyes and slowly to my body.
I heard him panting and sigh in relief. "You did it, Umiko." I could picture the the smile on his face.
"Yay! I learned how to control it." I cheered.
"Now time for training." He clapped his hands.
[AFTER TRAINING]
After finally doing one or two techniques with each of my element, my body felt sore and I passed out.
