"OH MY GOSH BREE". I yell staring at the water in shock
"WHAT WHAT". She asked rushing over to the tub before backing up a little
"You know you can't look at blood Lauren look up". She said rolling my head up towards the ceiling
Feeling the urge to push I do so and I feel like something was coming out. Looking down I look over at Bree.
"Are you pushing". She asked with a confused look on her face
"Yes I feel like I have to". I cry out breathing heavily
Watching her she goes and looks down in between my legs and her head pops back up.
"Oh noooo nope no". She said shaking her head causing me to look at her crazily
"What what's going on". I ask in a panic waiting for a reply
"Wait you don't know what's going on". She asked looking at me confused
"Bree I wouldn't be asking if I knew". I said squeezing the side of the tub pushing before stopping
"Girl you having a baby". She said causing me to look at her crazily
"Bree you're not funny". I said rolling my eyes at her
"Good thing I ain't a damn comedian because you have a babies head coming out of your vagina". She said stepping into the water
"Why are you getting in". I ask watching her roll up her sleeves
"I'm about to deliver my god baby what it look like". She said tilting her head to the side
"Nah son call the ambulance". I said laughing slightly
"Too late bitch my god baby coming right now so push". She said tapping my leg
Grabbing the side of the tub I began to push. After a couple more pushes I feel relief before I hear the baby start to cry.

"Here hold him I got to get a shoe string and some scissors". She said laying him on my chest and stepping out of the water
While she went to go get the stuff I looked down at him and started to cry before placing my hand over my mouth so he wouldn't hear me.
"Boo why are you crying what's wrong". She asked walking back into the bathroom with the supplies in her hand
"I just don't know what to do". I said shaking my head as she got in the tub tying the shoe string around the umbilical cord and cutting it
"About What Ermias". She asked looking up from what she was doing
"Yea I tried to call him a few days after what happened and he had me blocked". I said rubbing the babies back
"Girl you got to push again". She said and I did just that pushing a few more times something else comes out
"But Anyway Girl call him off my phone he don't know my number". She said and I just nod
"We gone do all of that after we come back from the hospital". She said pressing things on her phone before putting it up to her ear and walking out
"I'm going to name you Kross". I said kissing his forehead and I could hear multiple footsteps headed this way
"Ms.London we're going to have to take him and get you guys wrapped up". An EMT said squatting down and I nod

"I'm behind you girl". I heard Bree say as they dropped the bed in front of the ambulance truck before picking it up and putting me in
Bree stepped in and they closed the doors and pulled off.
Feeling the truck come to a stop I knew we were at the hospital. The doors opened and they pulled me out pushing me inside the building.

Sexy Sect Babes
“One in a billion.” Jack kept repeating the mantra in his head. “One in a billion.” That was the number the Omni-Corps liked to cite whenever someone stepped onto one trans-mat pad and then simply… never stepped off the other. “Safer than a car,” he repeated as he slogged through the snow, his mining overalls doing at least a passable job of keeping out the cold as he brushed aside a tree branch. “Safer than a plane. Or a starship. Safest form of transport in the Star League.” He slammed his fist into a nearby tree, exo-empowered strength shattering it into little more than scattered bark and kindling. “Yeah, well I never heard of a car ride stranding some prick in another dimension!” He roared, his voice echoing through the seemingly endless forest around him. Then he kept marching. He’d seen the fire off in the distance. And given all the snow around, he sincerely doubted it was natural. Which left the unnatural. Which meant people. He hoped. Because even if the trans-mat had screwed up, he doubted it had dumped him too far off the central finite curve. The fact that the air was breathable and that he could recognize the trees around him as oak told him that much. And if the dimension he was in had trees native to Earth, chances are it would have animals too. Of which humans would hopefully be no exception. “Because I’ll be damned if I spend the rest of my days talking to goddamn squirrels.” No, if there were humans on this mudball, he was going to find them. One way or another.

There's not really a schedule, although I do post somewhere around once every two days, maybe more if I have free time. I have no plan, no plot, no lore. Just figuring stuff out along the way. I hope you like it, and please give me comments and criticism if you find mistakes. It's what trial runs are for! :P ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ If you're wondering where I got my cover, check out This Guy From Fiverr They're really good.

BODY&SHADOW
AN ILLUSTRATED NOVEL • UPDATES TUESDAY AND FRIDAY In a time before living memory, the King Dragon of the Void watched the world and realized there was a crack. He realized that humanity was destroying the rock upon which they lived; they leaked life’s code into the churning chaos. At first the change was imperceptible: nanites overtook microorganisms, bacteria, viruses, amoebas. Insects became increasingly inorganic; birds and lizards followed soon after. Even humans were infected by their own advances, cell by cell, till there was not a person left on earth who wasn’t at least part synthetic, the product of a prior generation’s carelessness. The world’s population was ravaged by mechanical viruses with no vaccines; they were mercilessly overtaken by bacteria that knew no death. Soon, most of the planet was empty and only a handful remained who remembered the hedonist realm they came from; only a few were left who remembered what the world looked like when their buildings touched the sky. The King Dragon of the Void watched the rock turn. He watched humans cower as the Old World fell down around them; watched their great monuments crumble into dusty ruins; watched their codes become precious, ancient gem memories forged under the crushing pressure of so many fallen stones. The world has spun many times around the sun since chaos swallowed man whole. It is a simpler time than the one that died out, but the people now are not immune to the folly of the people before. There is old code everywhere: in the water, in the air, in the trees. The heart of man has been replaced by power cores, many of which are hard-coded with preternatural abilities—when they die, an esoteric mountain sect collects their cores and stores them in their hollow mountain home to preserve the sanctity and dignity of human death. They’ve learned to harness artifacts of the old world, gemstones full of codes their nanite infused bodies can parse as spells imbuing their users with great power; they inlay them into their bodies, into their skins, connected to their cores by copper conduit and gold tracers; they dress themselves in tattoos to advertise their prowess; they battle for relics in arenas, fight for them in the open world wherever they are found. The King Dragon of the Void watches the rock turn and wonders: when will this hunger finally make the rock stop spinning? WELCOME TO FANXING CITY … Twenty-five years ago, Fanxing City and the surrounding lands were commanded by the mad King Zao Beiguan. For many years, the King hoarded wealth, artifacts, food; he demanded tribute from a people already taxed to the edges of their existence and expected they be happy with their circumstances. Noncompliance was often punished harshly, bodies displayed proudly on Fanxing’s streets as a warning, from the city gates to the Zao palace’s golden doors. The youths of several prominent clans came together to overthrow the tyrant and made names for themselves as legendary heroes across the land: Tian, Ren, Feng, Gui, Ma, and Zhenxi. Even wanderers from the Luanshi sect descended from Yunji mountain to aid the rebellion. When the dust settled after three years, Tian Yunyong ascended the throne of Fanxing and swore to honour his slain father’s memory, and has maintained Fanxing’s peace with generosity and mercy where fear and cruelty once reigned.
