Standing on the side of the stage I wait for the dj to introduce me. Samiel got me a lil show at this popular club Ice run by his friend. Oh and ole girl on the phone was my sister Samantha talking about a fight she had with my moms.
"Yo you nervous this yo first time performing yo songs in front of a crowd". He said tapping my arm with the back of his hand standing beside me
"What I got to be nervous for either they fucking with it or they not". I said with a slight shrug
"I forgot you the king and kings don't have no worries". He said laughing and I was going to say something but the dj started announcing my name
"We got somebody new for y'all from right here in Los Angeles welcome my boy Nipseeeeey husssslllleee". He said and I hear people screaming as I walk out onto the stage
"Wassup Los Angeles I want y'all to help me out". I said and the song started to play and everybody went wild

I rapped into the mic before turning it towards the crowd

After doing a few more songs I was done so I walked off handing my microphone to one of the stage people.
"Man that shit was hot they really fucking with you bro". Samiel said walking up to me with a huge smile before slapping hands with me
"NIPSEY,NIPSEY". Hearing someone call my name I turn around to see nique with our daughter emani
"You why you out here this late with my daughter she can barely stay awake". I said walking over to them
"I need you to get her for the week". She said rolling her eyes
"And you couldn't call me to come pick her up you always doing stupid stuff I swear nique gone leave I got her". I said grabbing emani pulling her over to me
"Have her back Sunday morning". She said causing me to mug her
"Man get out my face I'll bring her back when she good and ready". I said throwing my arm over emani's shoulder and turning walking away
"So does this mean I get to stay with you forever". Emani asked looking up at me with a huge smile
"If that's what you want". I said looking down at her with the same smile
"I do". She said nodding
"I just know that's not my fucking niece out here at 3:00 in the morning".Samiel said power-walking towards us
"What the hell she doing out here this late dude". He asked looking from her to me
"Man nique brought her out here but I can't go celebrate I'm about to get my babygirl back to the house". I said rubbing her arm

"Love you uncle Samiel". She said and he turned and walked away
"So what you trying to get into". I ask as we walk out the building to my car
"Movie date". She questioned as she buckled her seat belt
"Yea we on". I said starting up the car and pulling off
Parking in my driveway we get out and I unlock the door letting her walk in first.
"I'll bring the drinks". I said locking the door and walking to the kitchen
"I'll bring the food". She said beside me causing us to laugh
After getting everything we was gone need for the night we go into the living room. Picking up the remote she scrolls through to see what she wanted to watch.
"We watching 4 brothers". She said pressing play and sitting the remote down beside her
"How you figure I wanted to watch this". I ask and she looks at me before looking back at the tv
"Lil girl". I said pushing her head causing her to laugh
"What dad". She asked looking over at me
"How would you feel about living with me for real be honest". I ask and her eyes lit up
"Happy I've been wanting to stay with you for a while daddy". She said giving me a straight face
"Then it's settled emani". I said and she hugged me before turning back towards the tv

Tending to the plants, sowing seeds, and reaping a great harvest at the end of the year. Of course, he's also a data scientist, so he can't help but squeeze out the maximum possible efficiency of his time and the potential of his attributes. Who doesn't make excel spreadsheets in their spare time? This is a slightly more "Slice of Life" esque version of kosnik4's story. Hopefully lighthearted, funny, and as enjoyable to read as it is thinking of increasingly ridiculous skill progressions. This is a VRMMORPG story, but the ones I've read tend to use VR as an excuse to get into a fantasy world and then don't really play up the game aspect other than pulling up a status screen every now and then. To me, MMOs are about more than the fantasy setting. Bugs, exploits, devs who don't understand their own game, OP classes, over the top nerfs, p2w, ridiculous RNG, cash shop fiasco, lockboxes, raging players, broken mechanics, limited bag space, tedious crafting and above all that, a company trying to squeeze money out if its playerbase while pretending they're just in the business of having fun. Of course, then there's the orcs and elves. This story is about finding yourself in a completely immersive fantasy game, but it's also about what a game like that would really be like.
