"his hair is brown!" i tell y/f. she scoffs right back. "nuh uh! it's completely orangey!" she replies. i shake my head. "it's brown, i swear!" i argue back.
as we argue in the hallways on the way back to my class her face turns into a cheeky grin. i roll my eyes at her, immediately knowing why.
"hi, c/n. how's your day?" y/f asks him, surprise taking over his face. "oh um it's good... you?" he replies, trying to sound normal instead of shocked.
"oh it's aye okay, my friend." my face turns completely reddened from embarrassment.
"i'm gonna apologize for this. carry on." i tell him, flashing him a quick smile before dragging y/f away from talking range.
"why would you do that!" i yell at her.
"because it's funny. i'm sure that deep down you can find your sense of humor." y/f replies. i again roll my eyes.
"s'cuse me i got lotsa jokes, okay?" i tell her as she gives me her 'yeah right' face. and honestly, i do have a sense of humor when she isn't annoying me.
"i gotta go, i got english!" i tell her. english was my major in university.
"kay see ya back at the dorm, have funnn!" she tells me, eying c/n down in my class.
"alrighty bye then!" i say, shoving her away. i walk over and smile at him as he flashes my a friendly smile.
"sorry 'bout earlier, she's wack." i tell him, giggling slightly. "oh it's fine." he replies, chuckling along with me.
his eyes shift to mine, shining like stars (as cheesy as it sounds).
"um do you maybe wanna get dinner with me?" he asks, smiling.
my face goes deep red and heats up. "uh... y-yeah, alrighty." i tell him.
"alrighty, i can pick you up at your dorm at eight."
"alrighty."
i giggle.
he's one alrighty boy.

Jo Maguire, a highly strung, underemployed telemarketer, meets Ysabel, a princess of unspecified pedigree, and unexpectedly becomes her guardian and caretaker. Now Jo must make a place for herself among Ysabel's decidedly unusual family and friends—which calls for a bit more sword-play than most of us are used to—in a city where sinister high-rise condos are fought by a sprawling tea-house built out of scrap lumber, where ancient sea-gods retire to close-in Southeast apartments with lovely views, where duels take place in supermarkets, and the Devil keeps a morgue in an abandoned big-box store.
8 249The book of forever
An experimental diary of sorts recounting my life and experiences, written as a slightly whimsical scifi story about setting off from the past to unknown lands, rebuilding from nothing and finding myself again. The first section of the book contains matched chapters, a chapter for a interlude, both happening at the same time roughly The second section of the book contains more one off stories as we follow one of the travelers explore their heart as well as a unknown land, growing in the process. All of the text here was written in 10 syllable chunks, this reads like a epic of sorts, just with more philosophical focus and POV jumps. Hope you enjoy! >Updates may be sporadic as I only write when I have something about myself I want to share The chapters can all be read individually, although there may be some crossovers between them they work as single poems. You start at whatever chapter you want since these are a collection of roughly connected poems (although you'll notice tie ins and references to eachother)
