《My love - Klaus mikealson》Chapter 4
Advertisement
"It was my pleasure. I'll happily listen to you again anytime" he presses one last kiss to my lips and i feel my stomach burst from the amount of love and affection he's showing me
"I better go.." he nodded and slowly released me
"I'll see you out" he smiled brightly before taking my hand and silently walking me to the door, leaving a tingly feeling on the tips of my fingers from his lingering touch
—
The next morning I woke up and looked to my bedside table. Almost as if the previous night was a dream, but I knew it was real. After still knowing the feel of his lips against my own I knew that what happened between us wasn't part of my imagination
I looked around my room only now noticing something different and I scanned it again looking for the anomaly, only for my eyes to catch onto a box which had my name on it
I slowly picked it up and opened it, revealing a piece of paper. I unwinded it and looked at it, now realising it's a picture of me, and beside it a horse.
I smiled and looked to the bottom where it read
Thank you for such a lovely night
-klaus
I put the picture down on my bedside table and made my way downstairs
"Hey Andrea?" Elena asked
"What was the box you got in the mail?"
"Oh nothing" I said trying to hide the smile visible on my face
"I'm gonna go to mystic grill" I said trying to change the subject but leaving out the fact I was supposed to go with Rebekah because I know how much Elena hates her
—
I walked into the grill and picked up my phone as it rang
"Hey Andrea"
"Hey Rebekah. Are you almost here?"
"That's what I came to call you about" she sighed
"Oh"
"Yeah. I'm so sorry I got-"
"Rebekah it's fine, we can just meet up when your not busy" she sighs in relief
"Thank you"
"It's no problem. I'll see you"
"Bye" because I was already in mystic grill I just decided to sit in there and catch up on the book I was reading
—
I looked outside and frowned realising it was dark so I got out of my seat to leave
But as I was I heard a voice
Advertisement
"Love?" I turned around to see klaus standing there
"Hey"
"What are you doing her Rea?"
"Well I was supposed to meet Rebekah. But she was busy"
"You could've asked me" he smiled
"I don't have any way to contact you" he held out his phone and nodded his head towards it
"Well let's change that" I took his phone out of his hands then placed my number in his phone and handed it back to him
"Oh, my brothers here too. Kol" he turned around so I could see him and I noticed him watching us, sitting at the bar. I raised my hand to wave at him and he waved back
"It was nice seeing you klaus but.. I was kind of on my way out"
"Do you mind if I walk you to your car?" I shake my head and he walks allowing me to trail behind him until we get outside
"The drawing you made it was.. really amazing. Thank you"
"No thank you love for being the inspiration"
"Your always so nice" I mutter, astonished my the amount of compliments he always gives me "No ones ever been this nice to me before. Thank you" we reach my car and I turn to klaus
"You deserve it all. And so much more" after taking a step forward he dips his head down and captures my lips with his, our close proximity allowing him to wrap his arms around my waist and me to bring my hands to the back of his neck
We pulled away and stared at each other for a second and then he opened and closed his mouth, his face holding a pained expression
"Klaus?"
"Are you okay?" He placed his hand to his heart and staggered back
"Yeah, I need to go" he mumbled before running back into the direction of the mystic grill
—-
The next day I walked downstairs and saw Elena down there, back from her run
"Where's Alaric?" I asked. She froze In her spot
"He's over.. at dr fells place." I nodded so she didn't think I caught her out on her lie
"Well..I-I'm going out" she snapped her head to me confused
"What? Why?"
"I- Uh. I'm just going out" I lied and started to speed to the door
"Andrea!" She shouted. I sighed turning around
Advertisement
"Where are you going?"
"I'm going to Rebekah's she invited me over" she scoffed
"More like klaus" I turned away not wanting to argue with her
"You think they actually like you? You've never had a friend, or even a boyfriend so why do you think you have some now? Your obviously being played Andrea" i sniffled wiping the stray tear present on my cheek
"I got to go" I muttered before walking out of the door.
-
I knocked on klaus' house door and moments later he opened it
"Andrea" he smiled opening the door wider and allowing me to walk inside
"Hi klaus" he stood still for a second before opening his arms
"Bring it in love" blushing, I walk into his embrace and wrap my arms around him. He pulls away and lightly kisses me before leading us to the sitting room
We sat down on his couch close to each other, facing one another so we could see each other clearly
"Are you okay, Rea?"
"Yeah, why?" He gives me an accusing look and I sigh
"I just had an argument with Elena before I left"
"May I ask what about?"
"About.. you" I whisper and look for his reaction. I put my hand in his
"Elena doesn't seem to like you or Rebekah for some reason"
"So what did she say that made you upset?"
"She was just.. being rude. Mentioning how I've never had a lot of friends before and that I might be getting played" I said, my voice going quieter as the sentence went along
"Love, I can assure you there's no games between us. But I want to call out the fact you just called me your friend" he smirked and I blushed looking away
"We've never really spoken about it.. I don't know what you would want"
"Well I would like to court you if that's alright?" I tilt my head
"Court me?"
"Be with you, together. I want to be your boyfriend" I opened and closed my mouth in shock
"Are you being serious?" He nods
"Yes, I've never been more serious about anything in my life" his eyes flickered to my lips so quick that I almost missed it. He leaned his head forward and stopped when his lips were mere centimetres from mine
"I've never wanted to kiss someone so bad. I don't know how you get me like this" he mumbled. I smiled lifting the hand that's not attached to his and moved it to the side of his face before leaning in and breaking the distance between us
This wasn't like the other kisses, the ones before were sweet, but this one was more sensual. More passionate.
He moved closer to me and separated my legs allowing him to come closer, brining my legs up to either side of his hips while he hovered above me
Our movement slowed down and we both came to a stop
He smiled and pulled me up from laying to sitting down
"I don't want to go too far with you love, we will carry on another time" he smiled sitting back in his previous position
"Come, I've got a few things to show you"
—-
I walked into school and looked around, noticing the 20s dance posters, making sure no one was with Elena before walking up to her
"Elena?" I muttered tapping her arm. She tuned around
"Yes?" She says probably because interrupted her from setting up for the dance
"Uh- do you know where Alaric is. He said we was going to do something together but I haven't seen him in a few days" I look around nervously for any eyes
"He's staying at Meredith's for a while but he should be back soon" i nodded
"Do you think he would mind if I called him?" She nodded
"Don't call him. He's with Meredith. Don't ruin it for-"
"Elena!" Caroline called. I backed up as she walked over to us
"Hey Andrea" Caroline greeted
"Hey" I muttered back
"I better go" I said before quickly walking off only for Caroline to catch up to me
"Andrea? Do you mind if we have a talk?" I shook my head and she led me outside
"You know.. Elena's only trying to protect you. No matter how she presents herself to you"
"Caroline.. she hates me" she shakes her head at that completely dismissing the idea
"She really doesn't Andrea. She loves you so much, and she acts like it. More so that you've been hanging out with klaus" she explained but it just brought up more questions
"I don't get that either. Why does she hate klaus and Rebekah. I've never had.. a friend and I finally found one. But she hates her and I've never had a boyfriend before either, but she hates him too. Does she really hate me enough not to want me to be happy?"

Sword System Academia
2/17 NOTICE: I'm putting this on hiatus, possibly permanently. I didn't want to spam with an "update chapter", so hopefully here and in the story blurb will get enough eyeballs. There are a couple reasons for ending SSA for now. 1) I wrote the next chapter but wasn't happy with it. I've been less and less satisfied with SSA's quality the more I thought about it. Part of the reason is... 2) I am seriously thinking about trying to publish some novels to help pay the bills, since I don't have my other source of income anymore. I have never asked for anything from SSA readers, no money, not even a review or rating. SSA is written for fun to amuse myself, primarily, and I would kind of feel bad actually charging someone money for something as unserious as that. I don't think it is good enough to ask anything in return. To use an analogy from music, SSA is more like a jam session with a bunch of friends. You're just chiling and having fun playing some music. I mean, if you are Mozart or even Eminem, your jam session is good enough to sell, but for an amateur beginner like myself, haha, no. If I want to publish something, I feel like I need to go the proper route of practice and rehearsals, which might be more similar to a classical concert performance. With SSA, I work from worldbuilding notes and a loose outline, but what you are essentially getting is the first draft with lots of so-called pantsing. Pushing out a web novel like this also means it is very difficult to go back and improve things without breaking everything else downstream. I wanted to try this "jamming" approach, as it was a good way to teach me about another aspect of writing, but to move forward, I think I need to hone my "classical" techniques, which emphasize rewriting, or at least, revising outlines. 3) While I intend to try to make $$$, my actual current goal is to "get gud". I've spent a lot of time recently trying to understand the self-publishing industry, and I'm pretty sure I can make some money by using short-term strategies with my current amateur skill level. But I've seen too many authors come and go/burnout, and really, the only way that I think I can enjoy writing and still make money on a long-term basis is to become a better writer. And the next step for me, which I haven't done much before, is to spend more time on rewriting and outlines. That is pretty much antithetical to the way SSA is developing. I've always been kind of 20/80 plotting/pantsing, but I want to spend a lot more time outlining before I even start writing. SSA jam sessions don't really fit my goal anymore. If you're curious about what's next, read on... Among other regrets, I regret not finishing SSA. It's the first story I've dropped, but then again, it's the first web novel I've attempted, so I suppose that's not a surprise. I don't think traditional web novel formats suit me that well. The whole SSA story I had loosely planned (beyond a first book or major arc) is way too large as well. Big story = good for neverending webnovel with Patreons, bad for penniless and fickle writer like me. I am currently outlining a complete trilogy to another story in great detail. I want the story to end concisely, and I also want the chance to really spend a lot of time on the full outline to spot pacing problems, character issues, lost themes, and so on. I'll still share this story on RR. What I intend to do is finish book 1, flash-publish the whole thing here for a few weeks, then publish on the big Zon. Repeat for books 2 and 3. The upcoming story will be about crafting heroes. The backdrop is an isekai-like setting, where elves will summon humans to their world as heroes, but the whole hero crafting business is still in its infancy. The elven mage researchers are figuring out how to imbue heroes with power, while the heroes are trying to figure out how to use the powers that they gain. Humans are the best hero templates because they are blank and have no intrinsic magic. Or at least that what the elves thought. The human MC has his own secrets... There will be some similarities with litrpgs, but I would call it more a progression fantasy or gamelit story. For example, the stats are very low, at least initially. Say we have a stat called Str. Going from Str = 1 to Str = 2 is a huge deal. Also, going from Dex = 0 to Dex = 1 is an even bigger deal. I guess you could call it a "low-stat litrpg", haha. Also, the heroes won't be gaining stats simply by killing things or leveling up. You can't increase stats arbitrarily, either. There will be rules to how stats can increase, and how they work with each other. The elven mages will be figuring out these rules in order to craft stronger and stronger heroes. Some inspiration will be from cultivation magic systems, but there won't be overt cultivation, at least for now. A theme I really want to explore is the idea of interactions. That includes things like hero crafter vs hero, tactics vs strategy, skill synergies, racial interactions (dwarves, elves, etc), and son. Yeah, so hero crafting. I'm super excited about this project and venturing into publishing. If you want to check out the upcoming story, you can follow my RR author profile to see when it drops here. Finally... THANK YOU TO EVERYONE! I'm very sorry that SSA is stopping, but I hope at least some of you will find the next story at least as enjoyable, if not more. Thanks to all the readers who gave SSA a shot. Big hug or solid fistbump to all of you, whichever you prefer! I hope this message is not a downer but an upper, because I am psyched!! -purlcray -------------- BLURB: Talen, youngest Master of the Koroi, makes his way to the Empire's capital to salvage his clan's fate. But the bustling city has few opportunities for the traditionalist. For the old sword clans are fading. With the rise of alchemy, gold can purchase strength that ordinarily took years of training to cultivate. Sword artists, once rare and accomplished, are quickly growing in number, especially among the wealthy noble class. Even with such alchemy, though, no one has advanced to the rank of Grandmaster in countless years. Talen's true dream is to walk the path of a sword artist to the very end while fulfilling his clan duties. And then the Swordgeists return, fabled founders of all sword arts, gods who had touched the world long ago and vanished. These myths turned into reality warn of a coming threat. Alongside this warning, they issue an invitation to the Sword System Academy, a path to power beyond the mortal realm. But first, they will hold an entrance exam... Story notes:Sword System Academia blends elements of western and asian fantasy such as xianxia and litrpg. I took parts from different genres I enjoyed and twisted them into my own creation. There will be an explicit system, both of the litrpg kind and the hard(ish) magic kind, but it is embedded within an academic structure that will develop over the course of the story. This is my attempt to design a unique type of system, the System Academia.

Balancing of the world
Just as humanity reached the height of its power, it fell again. Mana was introduced into a previously balanced world, sending everything present into chaos. Humanity losing its technological advantages, fell back to the dark ages, back to when survival was all but guaranteed. Mana though useful for enhancing the body isn’t unlimited, and humanity fell behind fast. From experiments, a being of mana, born into this chaotic world. The first of its kind. Rather than thriving in a world to which it belongs, it has to model the world so it will suit its needs. As a lone being, it has to use its power over mana to influence beasts and humans alike to abide by its will and further its goals. It will manipulate intelligent lifeforms to do its bidding while believing that they are becoming stronger. It will help lower lifeforms and guide their lives until they fit into the world as envisioned by our being. Read how our protagonist starts in a small area, changing it to suit its needs, and then grows until the world is balanced and at peace again. This is my first story, and I don’t have an editor yet. My English should be good enough, but I expect to have to go back and do editing later on. I would classify this story as litRPG. There will be a type of system with blue boxes and all, though the perspective is the system itself and how it came to be and why it does what it does. As a single mighty being, there will be dungeon core influences such as expanding the area and influencing all within though there is no such thing as an actual dungeon. As humanity is trying to survive, there will also be some city/base building influences, and I will have some perspective changes to show how the forces are being perceived by the affected people. As I have a busy job, it will be hard to update consistently, but I am quite a bit ahead of what I have currently uploaded.

The Czarina's Buccaneer
RELEASES EVERY MONDAY AT 18:30 CST ----- After suffering the torments of slavery, the destruction of his nation, and the massacre of his band of brothers, Rodion Kazansky craves revenge and yearns for the freedom owed to him as a proud Cossack. A lost horse and a chance meeting with the Catherine the Great set him off on a journey that will take him from the steppes of the Crimea to the beaches of the Gold Coast of Africa and back again. There he will face British slavers, pirates, and the ghosts of his past to become the bane of his enemies as the Czarina's Buccaneer. ----- DISCLAIMER: This novel acknowledges the fact that the Cossacks, and the Ukrainian people by extension, are unique and not simply a "different variety of Russians." The main character views the Russians as "moskal foreigners" and does not see himself as one. This also acknowledges the fact that the czarina deprived many of the Cossacks of their freedom, something that the main character resents.
