《The human hunter avp》Times past

So yes... I'm back. The reason for why I haven't been that active is because I am now migrating over to ao3, and I've started to write there as well, that is to say that out of the trinity of fanfic sites (that being fanfiction.net, wattpad and ao3) ao3 is the best by far, and to be honest, while wattpad is fun and all, it is very much clear that you are held at a disadvantage in terms of popularity and attention by the system's algorithm, which only proposes and promotes one particular type of genre (see: the next fucking batch of stories that are all pay to read in which the protagonist, a girl, falls in love with a bad boy billionaire and always follows the same fucking shit eating mind numbing retarded plot and gets extra brownie points if the billionaire is a werewolf, and no I'm not kidding, you can see that on the popular now bar) that is not to say that I don't consider myself grateful for where we are at, 50k views is no joke, so thank you all once more. Additionally, Wattpad is toxic, like really toxic: not a day goes by that I don't read of an argument erupting for the most idiotic of reasons, including simply getting all sad and depressed because one of your followers deleted their account without saying anything (cry me a fucking river, you have thousands more, what's one more or less?)
But again, trailing away from my rant, the Human Hunter was my first ever piece of written fiction, and I have improved much with my writing. I see many past mistakes and all, and compared to my story on ao3, it simply does not compare at all.
Fear not, for I am not abandoning this work, and it will reach its conclusion.
And let us continue.
"God... I love you so much my queen..." Mark softly whispered as he snuggled closer into Mhei's large frame, melting in her touch as she wrapped her arms around him tighter, trapping him to her toned body.
The primal huntress purred louder and used the very tips of her sharp claws to gently scrape at her lifemate's nape, her red and black striped hand trailing down to his bare back to do the same at the area between his shoulder blades, causing the human to sigh in pure ecstasy.
They had just returned from a meeting with a few elders, including Mhei's own bearer.
Unfortunately for Mark, the assembly had taken place in an open garden, exposed to the rays of Yaut's twin suns; and for that matter, it was summer time now, and the elite found the heat discomforting.
That was why he had stripped down to his loincloth, and as to why his mate was still mostly dressed, for yautja naturally did not mind the humid and sometimes arid temperature.
They had been in this position for some time now, simply content with being in each other's company and cuddling together. Mark could not thank Mhei enough for all of her help... she had truly done so much for him... in helping with his anxiety and fears, in understanding his unspoken pain and suffering.

She had held him, let him listen to her comforting purr as he would silently weep... and he was better now, especially when he was around her: the huntress' mere presence was enough to put him at ease, to allow him to truly calm and rest.
"As do I my dear mate, more than even Lilka could know." she cupped a hand over his head, letting her taloned fingers glide through his short hair, and protectively pulled it forward so that was even closer to her.
The loud thrum that echoed from her chest was a comforting sound for Mark, one that made him close his eyes in bliss at feeling the female's caresses and affectionate movements.
"I yearn for a battle; would you honor me with a duel later?" "Of course my love. I would also wish for us to spend some more time together... does the idea of hunting sound interesting to you?" the dominant huntress clicked her sharp tusks, "It indeed does, my mate." she craned her neck forward and smelled his scent.
In truth, Mhei hungered for something more as well... and like the true predator that she was, her clawed digits began to travel around his side, as her other pair kept themselves occupied by providing the male with more soothing scratches.
A sharp noise echoed from the entrance of the large chambers, and the primal huntress let out a barely audible snarl of annoyance.
Mark, still unaware of his mate's dark intentions stood back up, "Do not worry, I shall go see whoever is at the door." he rubbed her tendrils and she gave him a purr in response.
As the hybrid went to do as he announced, the towering yautja served herself a glass of naxa juice. She was not in the mood to become intoxicated, not yet at least.
Soon, her honored mate returned, "Mhei, I was given word that there is an ongoing trial to settle a dispute between a minor tribe clan and a small frigate of humans. It has to do with the laws regarding the ban on the hunt of my species, and it would seem as if some of our other fellow hunters aren't too keen on respecting the code." she was already walking alongside him, "I will accompany you, my mate. I understand how important this is to you." he gave her a grateful smile, and the female yautja captured his mouth in a quick kiss.
When they separated, their eyes, blue and red respectively, were heavy with adoration and affection.
"I am not worthy of having you as my mate." he gently whispered, "Neither am I primal hunter... but our love is enough to satisfy Lilka, and we are blessed by the Dark Hunter."
"Indeed we are."
"And do these... honorless bad bloods seek to hunt my species for the sake of the thrill of the hunt?" "Yes honored hunter." the arbitrator in front of him bowed his crested head, showing him much respect.
"You did well young one. The gods will show their favor to you for your honorable actions. You may leave the rest to me." with that, Mark was left alone as he contemplated the situation.

He was not in the territory of the Fire Skull clan, but that of the White Eclipse.
Out of all of the clans that Mark had interacted with and seen, these were the ones with the most intriguing of skin colors and complexion: the reptilian scales that covered their bodies were colored in a dark purple shade, nearly that of blue; and their dreadlocks were that of pure white like marble.
As a very important and strong clan, they held much prestige amongst Yaut, and that was to no exception with one of his fellow primal hunters hailing from this clan.
He heard a slew of heavy footsteps behind him, and he turned around to see a couple of the elite arbitrators approach him. The human was quick to greet them: "Please, you are capable and just hunters, there is no need to bow."
"You have our thanks honored warrior. My colleagues and I presume that you have come to discuss the matter of these vermin?" "You are correct."
The talks went well, and soon, he was moving away from the inside of the tribunal and towards the exit. He was mildly aware of the fact that his royal guards were most likely distressed by his decision to be left alone, without any further protection, and that was why he no one else with him at the moment.
The hunter's steps were confident and fast, carrying authority and a calm aura with them, but they came to a stop when the voice of a female echoed from his right: "Mark."
He stopped when his mind quickly recognized who it was, and his eyes turned to look at the huntress that was next to him.
Clasping his arms behind his back, he straightened his posture, "Arbitrator... I was not expecting to see you here." "Neither was I."
Yurli sounded calm and collected... and she was wearing her mask while he was not, so he could not smell or notice any deceit from her.
"It is curious to find you here." "Yes... the same can be said for you." his voice did not migrate away from the tone of clipped address, and that seemed to motivate the female further: "Mark, the last time that we had been together... things did not go the way that I desired for them to." she stepped closer to him, at a distance that was considered less than formal.
"I came to ask forgiveness primal hunter, I should have known that I was being too direct and blunt." she bowed her head to him. Mark felt uncomfortable about the situation, so he bid her to stand straight, "You were not in control of your state, I will not fault you for that." Yurli seemed to calm down a little, as her scent did not possess the same ounce of fear and worry from before.
"I respect you honorable hunter. That is why I desire to carry your pup in my womb."
Before he could answer, a presence shifted next to him as a large armored hand curled around his back and brought him next to a wall of durable mesh and plate.
Mark felt the vibrations of Mhei's silent growl as her masked eyes bore down on to the smaller female.
"My mate, one of the ooman captains is asking for your presence, he seeks a meeting. Go, I will patiently wait for you at the honored Va'thaer." her voice was hard and cold, and although the words were spoken as a suggestion, there was no denying that they also held the traces of an imperative order.
Mark looked unsurely at his former friend... this scuffle could turn ugly very quickly... but he trusted his queen to not fall easily to her emotions. He stepped away from the two, and walked in the opposite direction, a couple of Mhei's royal guards following him.
The young arbitrator was aware of the fact that all of those present in the hallway had stopped to stare at the exchange, and her senses were at an end, knowing that the massive female in front of her was the most dangerous opponent that she could have faced.
Slowly, she walked closer to her, so that only the two of them could have this silent conversation: "How do you dare, to speak to him in that manner?" her long black, decorated dreadlocks were flared, and her claws were arched, as if in desperate need of tearing something apart.
But Yurli did not back down in the face of danger, for she was no coward, "I do so as a friend and an honored enforcer of the Code of Honor." "You have lost the right to name him as such, you insult his noble figure with your blatant disrespect! You should ashamed of your actions! You are not worthy of wearing that mantle!" they were so close that they nearly touched.
"You do not have the right to act as if he is yours; he is not taken yet." she growled back as well, her fangs bearing open from inside her mask.
The older female hissed at her, "You are nothing but a lost pup: he is mine, we are mated for life by blood and by the will of the gods." that shocked her so much that she wasn't capable of answering, and her eyes widened in surprise.
"The next that time that you dare to even look at him with so much so as a sliver of lust, I shall collected your skull and mount it in my personal chambers as he gifts me with his seed." her threat was as clear as the day, and with that, she whirled around, marching away as the other hunters avoided her wrathful display.
No one had heard anything... but it was evident that a battle of words had occurred...
And there had been only one victor.
And done.
There may be some grammar mistakes here and there, but I'm too tired to check now.
