《Lynn's story》Chapter 12

Chaos. That was the only word I could use to describe what had erupted. Lurch was instantly on his feet, looking at me with nothing but disgust and hatred. He was yelling at me and Alpha Zeek. Luca was next to join the yelling, screaming at both Alpha Zeek and Lurch. Upon being challenged, Alpha Zeek started yelling at Luca and Lurch. All the yelling had even brought a crowd into the throne room, including Luca's brothers who joined in the yelling. I was frozen at Luca's side as I stared up at Lurch. My son. The one that I thought was dead had been alive my entire life. Then something clicked in my head. Lurch had grown up to hate me. He had grown up, taught to beat me. My eyes widened as I realized something more. He had raped me at least once as well. With that thought in my head, I turned to the side and hurled. I held onto my stomach as I started to freak out more and hyperventilate.
I yelped as I suddenly felt myself being yanked away and carried by jaws clamped on the back of my collar of my shirt. I curled up so my feet wouldn't drag as I was carried out of the throne room, out of the castle and past the castle walls. I tried to see who was the one that grabbed me but I couldn't turn right. I yelped as I was suddenly dropped in a pile of moss and I came face to face with a black wolf and yellow glowing eyes. I bowed my head down when I realized who it was. Beta Zack. He shifted back to his human form and stared down at me, letting out a sigh.
"Lynn I'm so sorry! I should have told you-"
"Wait, wait. You knew?" I cut him off and growled softly. It felt unnatural but I needed it. I felt something start to bubble in me for the first time as Beta Zack nodded slowly. "You knew and never told me? Who else knew? Didn't seem like Lurch did!" I exclaimed angrily and Beta Zack let out another sigh.
"The only people who knew was me, Zeek, Valley, Toothfull, Demon, Alice, and Tigerstar. And the doctors of course, excluding Rose. Nobody else knew. Lynn, we had to keep it a secret! It was an Alpha order and you know me of all people can't go against that!" He tried to explain to me but that something just became worse.
"He was my own son. This entire time he was my child and he was raised to beat me! He was raised to kill me! He fucking raped me too! I don't care if it was a fucking secret! I just care that my son was alive this entire fucking time and I never got to be with him! I never got to raise him! You should understand since you're a fucking omega and can be a mother!" I yelled without thinking and without noticing the angry tears falling down my face.
Beta Zack growled softly at me as a warning for my yelling. He was an omega, yes, but he was a higher ranking omega than me so being yelled at ticked him off. I avoided eye contact and whimpered softly as a slight form of submission but I was still...I didn't know the word for it since I had never felt this way before but I for sure wasn't happy or sad. I turned as I heard footsteps approaching fast. Within seconds a giant black wolf launched from the bushes beside me, leaping at me. Lurch. Beta Zack was instantly in his wolf form, an equally large black wolf. Beta Zack jumped at Lurch and knocked him out of the air, tackling him down to the ground. I panted hard in fear as a voice I hadn't heard in a long time sounded in my head. My wolf.

'Run,' was all it said and without thinking, I followed its order.
I shifted to my wolf form and ran off, leaving the 2 fighting males behind. I ran as fast as my small legs could take me. Since I was used to being in the forest, I memorized every safe spot and ho to get where I wanted. I stopped in a small clearing and looked around, listening carefully. When no sound came I slowly relaxed. I let out a breath and stared down at the ground. I was about to walk back to the city but stopped when I saw Lurch standing at the edge of the clearing, staring right at me with his one green eye. I froze as we stood there staring at each other. Lurch stepped forward slowly with a soft snarl, starting to circle me.
"I spent years tracking down a woman that claimed to be the mother that abandoned me. When I found that woman you wouldn't even begin to believe what I did to her. I made sure that woman learned what abandonment did. But it seems like my father fucking lied to me and you're my mother instead. So what do you think is about to happen to you, weak fucking waste?" Lurch started and finished with a roar. By the end of him talking, he had made a complete circle around me and stopped in front of me, teeth bared at me in a terrifying snarl. I frowned as I listened. He thought I abandoned him? I bared my teeth back and flattened my ears to my head angrily which surprised him. I was standing up to him.
"I never abandoned you! You were taken from me and Alpha Zeek! You were kidnapped in the dead of night! Rector, I thought you were dead!" I said and let out a scream as Lurch's paw slammed against the side of my neck and I was flung to the floor on the opposite side of the clearing.
"Don't use that fucking name for me! That's not who I am! I am not part of you and don't want any part of you! You're a worthless piece of shit and you should have died years ago! I should have fucking killed you years ago!" He bellowed at me but I got up still and glared at him. I was doing something nobody would expect from an omega, especially me. I wasn't submitting or backing down and it angered Lurch more.
Lurch roared as he launched forward at me but he was cut short by Luca suddenly launching out of a tree behind me and tackling Lurch down. This time, I didn't run. I did the unexpected. I joined the fight. I jumped onto Luca, biting his ear and pulling. He yelped and jumped off Lurch, shoving me off him. As Lurch got up to attack Luca, I jumped in front of him and let out a roar I never thought I would have in me. Lurch stopped in his tracks and he glared down at me but still didn't move. Luca didn't move from behind me but I could hear both men panting hard and letting out soft growls at each other. Nobody moved from their place until I did.
I slowly turned towards Luca and snarled loudly at him, warning him to back off from my son. Mate or not, Lurch was my son and that meant he came first. Even if he wanted to kill me. Luca was surprised by my actions but frowned down at me. He took a step closer to me and bent his head down to press against mine in a comforting way but without thinking, I snapped at him. My jaws just missed his eye since he was able to back up fast enough. I could see the hurt and betrayal in his eyes but I couldn't help it. With my wolf instincts and motherly instincts, Lurch came first. Luca glanced at me again before he turned and left. I stopped and turned around to come face to face with Lurch. He had a shocked look on his face but it went away as soon as Luca did. He looked back down at me again and snarled.

"I don't need you protecting me," he said. It wasn't mean or nice but it was better than before. He turned and began to leave but stopped and glanced back at me, "just stay the fuck away from me. I was fine without a mother till now and I'll be fine forever more. I don't need you and I don't want you," he said then left. I stood on my own in the clearing then sighed. I had to make things right.
First with Luca. I turned and ran in the direction Luca had run off in. I lifted my head and smelled the air, catching his scent. I followed the scent trail until I came upon the lake. There, at the edge of the water, was Luca standing in his human form and chucking rocks at the water, watching them skip. I took a deep breath before I started to walk towards him. He stopped throwing the rocks and I stopped walking.
"Lynn. If you don't love me just fucking say it. Say it now Lynn! Tell me if I'm fucking wasting my time!" Luca yelled suddenly as he turned to face me, glaring at me. I whimpered and shifted to my human form, taking a step towards him.
"Luca, please it's not like that. Luca, I'm sorry I never meant to hurt you in any way! I don't know what came over me! Luca I just-"
"Just because you're marked doesn't mean you suddenly turn into a fucking alpha! You're lucky I didn't kill you when you challenged me! You almost fucking bit my eye out! You need to be put back into your fucking place," Luca interrupted me and I froze at what he said last.
"L-Luca what do you mean by that?" I asked softly as my voice shook with fear. I cried out in pain when I was suddenly slapped and I fell to the ground. I stared up at Luca who was now standing over me and glaring down at me. I whimpered and looked away in fear, submitting. Luca's snarl sounded as he pulled me up by my hair and held me up on my feet, hand balled up in my hair.
"I've had to take omegas down a few pegs before. Don't make me do it to you too Lynn," Luca said in a threatening tone. I whimpered in fear as I stared at him. I nodded the best I could against his grip and he let me go. I dropped to the ground and looked up at Luca slowly. Luca glared down at me then, as if a switch got flipped, his gaze softened and he bent down beside me.
"Lynn I'm sorry. Look, I never wanted to hurt you. The Alpha in me just came out. Just...please don't challenge me ever again. You're still an omega, just remember that because if you don't, someone else might kill you. I just tried to protect you from Lurch. I didn't want him to kill you. I don't want to lose you, Lynn. I really do love you. More than I've loved anyone ever," Luca said softly and hugged me, clutching tightly. He pulled away and grabbed my hands in his. I nodded softly and looked at Luca.
"Luca... I should never have challenged you. I should never have tried to hurt you and I'm sorry for that. But hey, you got me back so I guess it's okay," I told him as I rubbed my cheek. I was about to continue but he stopped me.
"What? No! Lynn, I never meant to hit you to get even. I don't want it to be like that with us. No more hurting each other okay? I'm sorry, Lynn," he apologized as he held my hands tighter and I squeezed his hands back.
"Luca stop. I understand why you did it. I got out of line. Way out of line. It's just...when I was told about Lurch, all these motherly instincts came out at full blast. They were instincts to protect Lurch from everyone and everything. So when you attacked him, something told me I had to protect Lurch even if you killed me. I couldn't control it, Luca, I'm so sorry. I promise Luca, I love you. I love you more than anything. To the moon and back. I've loved you all along. Since I met you," I said as Luca hugged me tightly. I hugged him back just as tightly, wrapping my arms around his shoulders as he pulled me onto his lap to grip me better. He suddenly pulled away and raised an eyebrow.
"Wait, so you seriously didn't know Lurch was your son? This whole time? Like all those years he beat you?" he asked and I pulled away, putting my hand over my heart as my other hand went up.
"I oath that I did not," I said and he frowned. I had only seen this kind of stuff on the TV when I would pass by shops on the street so I didn't really know what I was doing. Only that I was telling the truth.
"Lynn do you know what that means?"
"I have no clue but I see people do this on the TV when they are about to say the truth," I admitted and it made Luca laugh. He smiled at me and shook his head.
"You're a cute idiot I hope you know," he said in a teasing way and kissing my cheek softly. He didn't prie anymore about Lurch being my son and instead, we stayed at the water's edge, hugging each other closely. I slowly pulled away as Luca stood up, picking me up into his arms even though I told him I could walk. Luca refused to put me down then carried me until we reached the city and he walked to a hotel, putting me down.
"We will stay here tonight. We shouldn't go back to the castle yet. Not with everyone pissed off still." He told me as he walked to the counter and talked to the girl about getting a room. As he grabbed the key, he walked back to me and grabbed my hand.
"Come," he said softly as he walked into the elevator with me. We went to the top floor. I assume. I didn't know for sure but I knew it was the button at the top of all the buttons so it must have been the top floor.
As the doors opened, Luca pulled me into the hall. He stopped outside of one of the doors and put in the key, opening the door for me. I looked at him then looked inside. I walked inside after he nodded to me to go in and I looked around. The hotel room was huge. It even had it's own kitchen and couch. It had separate rooms too and an amazing view of the city.
Without any regard for Luca, I ran out through the sliding doors onto the balcony. The ground was made with hardwood floor and the balcony was so huge it even had a patio set on it. The railing was made of metal poles and giant pieces of glass between the poles. I walked to the railing and looked over the city, smiling softly.
I finally turned my attention behind me as Luca walked onto the balcony, shutting the glass doors behind him. He walked up to me and wrapped his arms around my waist as he looked over the city with me. I looked at all the lights that started to show more now that the sun was setting and I leaned back against Luca. I let out a soft sigh and my smile dropped to a frown. I glanced up at Luca who knew what I was thinking thanks to the mate bond and he was staring at me sadly.
"You and I will figure out this Lurch thing. I promise Lynn, I'll be at your side the entire time," Luca told me as he turned me around in his arms. I smiled up at him and wrapped my arms around his shoulders gently, nodding.
"Thank you, Luca. I love you so much," I said softly then leaned up and pressed my lips to his.
There were still some things I wasn't certain about but what I was certain about, was that I loved Luca and he loved me. Meaning he would keep his word, he wouldn't leave me and he would help me get through this. No matter who our enemy was, I was sure Luca and I could take them on, and win.
(*BTW THIS IS WHAT LURCH LOOKS LIKE NOW! And his wolf*)

Cultivating Earth [Hiatus]
[This fiction is on indefinite hiatus. I'm currently acting as a 24-hour caregiver for my step-father who had a massive heart attack. I apologize for disappearing so quickly, but sometimes that's just life. I'll return as soon as possible. Sorry everyone!] Zhao Gang, after hundreds of thousands of years cultivating, has finally reached the penultimate threshold. He is ready to ascend to the level of True Immortal. Driven by the need for a place his enemies won't find him, Zhao Gang puts together an audacious plan. He has developed a revolutionary new formation which will allow him to ascend while on even the lowest planes. To avoid drawing attention, he has to choose a plane that is relatively desolate, however. He chooses Earth. Fast forward three thousand years. Zhao Gang discovers what his work has wrought - a cultivation-free culture that has delved the deep mysteries of creation - he can't help but think how this tiny little planet devoid of natural energy could affect the course of all creation. There's only one problem. For that to happen, he has to succeed in cultivating Earth. Notes: Chinese names should be ignored in the social context - they don't mean anything. Sorry for slaughtering such a beautiful tradition. This novel starts off slower than most. If the slow-roll isn't your thing, you might want to give this a pass. If it's not for you, I understand. Also, releases may be broken up into smaller chunks. The goal is 5k words, but definitely more than 4k. If you see a short release, be aware that more is probably coming. I'll be honest and say that I'm struggling with each new scene, if only because I want to balance the scope of vision with good pacing. I hope the work I put into it is worthwhile.
