Gregory's POV
The day has been boring and anxious. My whole family and I wait for tony and Vivian to arrive, hoping for good news while we stay as quiet as possible, Their mother was home. We all sat around having our separate day dreams. Hours and hours pass until we finally hear the front door open
"My god Vivian! What happened" their mother screams
I didn't hear vivians voice but running up the second stair case. We all look at eachother. What does she mean what happened?
"Honey" their dad begins to speak before getting cut off
"I said what happened" their mother gets loud with concern
"There is this man. He's unwell. He believes vampires exist and live among us. He came to our job site today with 'proof' they exist. He attacked Vivian saying her and tony are apart of a vampire cult. That he has seen them before in a graveyard"
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Rookery attacked Vivian again, but this time in daylight where there were witnesses. He's becoming more dangerous. He's also on to us. My whole family looks sick to their stomachs with this news
"What are we going to do about this? He attacked our daughter! He needs to be punished! If he isn't well he can't be walking around" mrs Thompson says
"I agree darling. Mr McCallister said there will be something done. I'm going back now to see what is going to happen" mr Thompson says
"Dad" tony says "is he going to come after us?"
"No. I promise" mr Thompson says
"I'm coming with you. Tony you stay here with Vivian. Well he back soon. Lock all the doors"
Then there was a few moments of silence before the basement door opened and tony appeared.
"What is going on" mother frantically asks tony, knowing the answer isn't going to be good

"Rookery. He came to my dads job and saw Vivian and I. We thought he left but instead he attacked Vivian. I don't know what exactly went on. She hasn't said much. All I really heard what him saying Vivian and I are in a vampire cult. I don't even know what a cult is"
Voices erupted around me, covering together. My brain fogged over and I blacked out all their conversations and questions. The only thing going through my mind was how I wasn't able to be there for Vivian—to protect her. I still can't, and I won't ever be able to unless I become human. Being a vampire I can protect her at night or in the dark but, in the day light (or light in general) around crosses or certain artifacts I am useless.
"Gregory" rudolf shakes my arm "what do you think?
"About..." I question, obviously confused from not listening and being caught up in the own thoughts
"About what tony said? What he found?"
"..I...I— I don't know. I can't think" and I can't. My whole world is in slow motion and I just want to see Vivian. Touch her warm face and hold her close
"I'll be back" heading up the stairs to go see
My love

Vampire Life: Sara
This is a short story based on the character from my main book that is still in progress. The question that caused me to write this and other one to come was simple.... if you can't die, live forever, and interact with the human world, what do you do when something happens that you can't anticipate. In this book, Charles gets hit by a car.

Take Two!
College student majoring in botany has a fateful encounter with truck-kun while trying to get back in shape after realizing that his freshman 15 turned into the sophomore 20, and then the junior 30. After going through a very amusing(to some) hell, he gets the chance to transmigrate into a body of his own design on a magical world. Playing to his strengths, he chose the Plantkin race, and the new name of Sorrel to match. This is a slow-paced, magical, slice-of-life story with a focus on relationships. There will be sex(I'll try to keep the explicit stuff to a minimum, but it will be there), swearing, really bad jokes, and enough food to spoil your diet. There will not be a lot of action, epic quests to save the world, or anything even remotely resembling a big-bad-evil-guy(a few smaller bad guys, sure. But, no BBEG). Note: This is a re-write of my first story "Congratulations, You're Dead!". And, is much more what I wish I had written in the first place. The characters and the world are very similar, with a few key differences. The story may borrow some elements from Congrats, but should be considered as its own work. Reading Congrats first is not needed, or even reccommended, not unless you want to see some really cringey romance in the early chapters.
