I glanced at my father as he held out flowers. I didn't like fighting with him, all I ever wanted was his love, but he ruined that by leaving; I have trust issues with him. I don't like it, but that's what it came to.
I took the flowers with a small smile,
"Thank you." He grins and I see the light in his blue-green eyes that are similar to mine.
"No problem." I look to my mom and she smiles, I hug her.
"I'm proud of you Bec." She whispers and I know she's not just talking about graduating.

After we left school, I decided to go with Alex for dinner.
We chose a nice, cozy, Italian restaurant uptown.
"What's on your mind, babe?" He asks kissing my cheek I sigh, a lot has been on my mind.
I was happy that I was going to college with not only Alex, but Carmen.
I was sad to leave my mom but luckily Ashton chose a local college to attend.
I was scared to grow up.
Who would I become?
What would happen?
I know there's no answer or outlook to the future but I was curious.
"A lot has been on my mind, to be honest." I say looking at my menu, settling on simple spaghetti.
"Like what?" He asks leaning his face on his chin.
"Mostly the future." I admit.
"Now, I know I can't predict the future but if your mine, I have nothing to worry about."
His words go to my heart warming it in a way I've never felt before, he was so amazing, I loved him so much and would be lost without him.
"You're perfect." I smile.
"I'm far from perfect, sweetheart."
"You're perfect for me."

"That I can agree on, love."

"Dad, I'm okay college is great how are you and Mom?" Yeah, you heard right.
These few months had been great for me, Mom and Dad got back together after a conversation and a few dates.
Alex, Carmen, and I started our first semester of college in California.
Everything was great, my dad and I had gotten closer, I never knew how much I needed a father figure in my life.
"That's good, Becky. You're Mom and I are great." I smile.
Mom has been healthier than ever, as if she never had cancer.
She may have seemed fine, but she had her slip ups like how she sometimes forgets to take her meds, but now she was okay and I was ecstatic about that.
"So Becky, I have to go. Your Mom and I are going out, but call me soon okay?"
"Okay, bye." I hang up and sigh looking at my laptop, I had a ton of homework to do as I've been slacking the semester only started a few weeks ago, they were already working are butts.
I feel a kiss on my neck and scream nearly dropping my laptop. "Alex you scared me!"
"I can see that." He laughs joining me on the couch.
"You're such an ass."
"But I'm your ass."
"Alex, do you know how wrong that sounds?" I laugh loudly.
"I just realized that." He mumbles. I giggle and kiss his cheek.
"So why are you home early? I thought classes weren't over till six." I ask running my fingers through his hair.
"I thought you liked seeing me."
He pouts. I hit his arm and he glares at me.
"You know I like seeing you, I was just curious."

"Well you know what they say-"
"Don't finish that sentence."
"-curiosity killed the cat."
He knows I don't like the saying it was overrated I thought.
"But I'm not a cat, plus they have like nine lives."
"But what if they were on their last life?"
"Satisfaction, brought it back. So ha!" I smile in victory.
Sometimes he was annoying but he was mine and that was all that mattered.

Trashmancer
Average Chapter Length: 3,000 Words. Updates: Whenever I finish a chapter. Synopsis: Down on his luck, Eddie decided to enter the VRMMORPG Chronicles Of Fantasy with hopes of becoming a powerful monster slaying, magic slinging, princess-loving player, but a round of thieves chucked him deep into the trash pit underneath Arindought. Without hope of getting out, or making a new character, he ventures forwards through piles of trash- literally. Join our paste-eating main character, a snarky but helpful system, and more than two dimensional side characters, as they explore and deal with problems within the game. Spectacular magic? Over-sized breasts? “Onee-chan?” No, I’m sorry (Especially for the last bit). This is no drug fueled story about getting trapped in a video game with an evil AI or a cute bunny-girl harem isekai. It’s just about Eddie, his trash, and his journey in his first gaming venture. This book will be published on kindle after its completion. That means that the chapters will have to be deleted. So please, get reading! [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Greg never really wanted to become a werewolf hunter. He just wanted to prove to his father that he could do the job his family was famous for, maybe earn some money while he’s at it. He certainly never wanted to become a werewolf, or run away from home, or fight the inquisition. Unfortunately, as his brothers would say, fate has a shitty sense of humour. Updates on Mondays. "I feel like this story perfectly represents how you can't judge a book by its cover (or, in this case, concept). Edgy badboy werewolf teen romance? Yeet that concept out the window and get ready for an action-packed fantasy with an incredibly built world and logical, realistic characters." "This is a great story, probably better than any werewolf novel I've read. It's certainly not a typical werewolf story (but don't let that stop you from reading it, the werewolves are still amazing.)" "A werewolf story where people aren't constantly meeting gruesome ends that still maintains a gritty atmosphere. Realistic worldbuilding and character design make this a must read!" - RR reviews The first chapter is also on DeviantArt, more may follow.
