I woke up to the sound of Ashton yelling.

"Bec, get up Mom is coming home today!"

I jump out of bed.

"Okay!" I reply.

I went to do my daily routine and put on ripped black skinny jeans and a white v-neck, I put on my converses and straightened my hair leaving it down.

I wanted to show my mom that I've been doing okay since we've been living on our own.

"Hey sis." Ashton says handing me a plate of pancakes.

"Hi, thanks Ash." I say digging into my pancakes quickly.

Once we are finished, we headed to the car and drove to the hospital I've come to know very well. We head to my mother's room to find her packed and ready to go.

"Hey mom." Ash and I say in unison.

"Hey kids, ready to go?" She says standing, I can't help but to stare in awe this woman right here, my mom. Beat cancer and I couldn't be happier than anything.

I can't afford to lose another parent, it makes me feel miserable and I can't imagine how Ashton feels, he has to stay strong for my sake and if he crumbles down, then what?

As of right now I'm really happy to say that My mom is back for good.

**

"Lets take you out for a celebration for your release." Ash says to our mom grinning.

"Oh, you don't have to." My mom says smiling.

"We insist." I add, and my mom looks at us in awe.

"You two really have grown up, I'm so proud of you guys." She says looking ready to burst into tears.

I hug my mom and whisper to her that I missed her, and she strokes my hair. I really missed the feeling of having someone. A parent taking care of you.

I know, I have Ash but sometimes it's just not enough.

"Okay ladies let's go get food." Ashton says grinning and I take the time to study him.

He has never been happier, I go up to Ash and hug him.

"What's this for sis?" He asked hugging me back.

"For taking care of me and being the best brother ever, thank you." I say smiling.

"No problem sis." He grins.

**

After taking mom out to celebrate, we welcome her home and she starts to make dinner for us.

Just then, I think of last night with Alex, what are we?

We both kissed yesterday and he told me not to leave him, so what does this make us?

My phone buzzes and I look to see a text.

Speak of the devil and he shall appear I thought. I can't wait to see Alex.

**

After the texting session with Alex. I rush to the bathroom and take a quick five minute shower, I put on my robe and look in my wardrobe, he said to dress warm so I got a white long sleeve shirt, black skinny jeans with holes, a black leather jacket and a scarf.

I paired them with black knee high boots. I went to the mirror, and curled my shoulder length brunette hair, applied little make up to bring out my blue eyes that I inherited from my bad excuse of a father.

I check the time to see it's seven fifty and I decide to text Alex.

I smile and head downstairs to see my mom. "Hey mom." I say kissing her cheek.

"Hey Bec." She replied.

"Uhm, I'm going out tonight, is that okay with you?"

"Is it with that Alex boy?" She asks.

"Yes?" I say, but it comes out more like a question.

"Well, let me meet him, when is he coming?"

I blush.

"Uh. Maybe another time Mom."

"Aww, alright." She pouts and I smile kissing her cheek.

The doorbell rings and I rush to the door. I open it to reveal Alex. "Hi." I say lamely.

"Hey." He smiles taking my hand.

We walk to his car and he opens the door for me. I give him a look and he smirks,

"What? I can be a gentlemen when I want to."

I just shake my head chuckling.

"I didn't say anything." I conclude.

"Did I tell you look gorgeous tonight?"

He asks smiling. "Maybe.." I smirk,

He starts the car and starts driving. "Where are we going?"

I ask. "That's for me to know and you to soon find out." He says.

I sigh. "You're so mean, for all I know you could be kidnapping me." I say pouting.

"Aww, why would I kidnap the girl I like?"

He says and I blush. "Uh, I don't know." I mumble.

"Well the answer to that is no."

He states turning a corner. The rest of the ride is silent until I look up to see he parked into an abandoned warehouse.

"Okay... I know you didn't kidnap me but are you going to kill me?"

I ask fearing for my life, this place looks like it would crumble if you even made a sound, kinda like an avalanche. He chuckles.

"No, this is part of our date now come on." I get out of the car,

"Part?" I question.

"Yes part now come on." He demands.

"Geez, pushy, pushy."

I joke earning a glare from him

I mumble,

'Someone's on their man period.'

"I heard that."

He says. "Why golly, did you say somethin?" I reply in a southern accent.

He grins,

"You're cute for your own good." he says taking steps up the roof. "Is this safe?" I ask.

"Gorgeous, your too cautious for your own sake live a little, but yeah it's safe, if you believe it is."

He says chuckling. Does he want me to live a young life? What the heck does he mean be to cautious for your own sake? Does that even make sense?

I hesitantly take a step at the roof and shuffle on my feet awkwardly. "So.. what now?"

I ask not meeting his eyes. I hear footsteps and I suddenly feel two gentle fingertips on my chin lifting it meet his beautiful own little ocean of eyes.

"You can do whatever you want... but I would enjoy the view." He says taking my hand and leading me to the edge of the rooftop, I look over putting my hands on the railing and look at the view that gives a wonderful overlook, of the town, I see beautiful lights, the buildings creating a beautiful erratic glow.

I see the park I used to go to with my father as a young child, creating memories that make the bad ones even more sad, I never understood why he left, Maybe it was mom's cancer and he probably thought that she wouldn't make it and couldn't stand to let her go.

But look what he left behind two children forced to care for themselves and a slowly growing ill mother. She made it, she's alive and if that's the reason he left, then he's a coward he should've known that Mom was a fighter, that she stood for what she believed in. I guess that was his fault. I look at the view of our small town and smile a little.

"A penny for your thoughts?" I hear Alex say next to me. I look to see him smiling but I shake my head and reply.

"Nah, it'd be a lot more then a penny for mine." I say and he pouts.

"Anyways, thanks for taking me here for the date it was really nice."

I looked at him to already feel the intensity of his gaze.

"No problem." He muttered, leaning in and I found my self inching closer wanting to be near him, needing to be near him.

Soon, I felt the sweet taste of his lips against my own, slowly moving in sync.

He bit my lip softly asking for entrance and I let him, our tongues danced together like a tango

We finally pulled apart, needing air.

He rested his forehead against mine his heavy breathing a mirror of my own.

He slowly got down on one knee his eyes giving me a smoldering look and I gasp.

"Whoa buddy, a little to fast, rewind please." I say and he laughs

"Slow your horses, Chica

I'll save that for another day."

He winked, causing me to blush in embarrassment. He pulled a box from his pocket and and opened it reveling a gold locket in the shape of a heart.

"Rebbeca Woods, You are beautiful, sweet, funny, anything a guy would want in a girl.." He paused looking in my eyes, I giggled.

"This really feels like your proposing." I joke and he laughs.

"Trust me it's not." I nod looking back into his aquamarine eyes.

He continues.

"Your anything a guy could ask for in a girl, you changed me for the better and I feel like I changed you for the better also. I just want you to do me the honor of being my girlfriend, because I love you and I need you."

He says and I freeze love that's a pretty strong word there. He loves me? Do I love him? My mother once told me if a guy can make you feel so much and can make you happy with the snap of a finger Or vice versa, than that's true love. Does Alex do that for me? Yes. My heart told me and I look into his eyes and smile.

"I love you too Alex. Oh and yes I'll be your girlfriend." I say grinning and soon he's grinning and were both a grinning mess.

I smile and he leans down to kiss me, we soon pull apart and he puts the necklace around me.

"It's beautiful." I mumble,

smiling as he puts the necklace around me.

"It was my grandma's."

He smiling turning me around to peck me on the forehead.

"Well, thank you, but I didn't even get you anything."

I pout and he kisses my lip.

"It's okay your love made me the happiest man on earth."

He grins. "Yeah me too, except for the man part." I say laughing. Soon, he laughs and it's just the best date I've ever had, well it's the only date I've ever had but I was glad it was with Alex.
