me, payton, tate and sam all pile into tates car. tate is driving, ive got shotgun and the boys are at the back. "can i play music?" i ask tate and give her a sweet, convincing smile. she laughs at the face im making and nods.

i giggle and grab the aux cord, plugging it into my phone before playing my spotify playlist.

the first song to come on is "under the sea" from the little mermaid. i can see tate's smile grow and the boys roll their eyes and laugh.

i keep playing disney songs and by the fifth song (let it go, frozen) everyone is singing along. we reach kfc and as tate parks i unplug my phone and put it in my back pocket. we walk into the building as a group, me and payton hand-in-hand and sam and tate laughing at a joke.

i walk up to the counter and start to order, knowing exactly what i want. i finally look up at the worker and as our eyes lock, my eyes fill with tears and i step back. i run out of the store without looking back, ignoring my friends calling my name. i couldnt be in there.
