The library never felt so lonely. Remnants of Luca's presence remained in the books he often read, gripping onto them so often his fingerprints left barely visible dents. In the crevices of the shelf which he often kept tidy was full of dust and spiders beginning to make home by webbing the place. Days past I was still paranoid, seeing images of him like hallucinations, and coming here to conquer that paranoia may have even made it worst.
"You look like you could use a break. Care to come visit my mother with me?" Kace stood by the entrance with his arm crossed over his chest. His chestnut brown hair was messier than usual and he sounded lax, a small yawn escaping his mouth. It was an unusual sight- no actually. This is an imposter!
I slapped my cheeks, narrowing my gaze at who stood watching my tense figure look around this desolate library. "Kace? Has Adria made you drink anything weird?" I ask.
"Ah no Riselle. I have just spent all night preparing gifts and resources for the children at the Chapel." He replied, brushing a hand through his hair frantically.
"Aww well isn't that nice! I'm not good around kids but I'll go with you. The prince is busy with his work anyways, and I I'm getting tired of Adria's ramblings about marriage. My musicsexual self can't relate."
"Even though you're dating the Prince?"
"That's not my point!" I sigh.
en route to the chapel I was dozing off at the unbelievable distance it took to get there despite it being the very same kingdom. Having other goods loaded in carts being brought along behind our carriage wasn't making it faster either. But that was just me being tired and impatient. Oh how I've been feeling eternally fatigued the past while.

Getting kidnapped is a zero out of ten for me. I do not recommend. And yet I was a lucky one to have been saved by Rowan.
In the midst of my insignificant thoughts we passed through unfamiliar sights, a rather dusty road. Kace was watching eagerly, his eyes looking out like a hawk. It gave me a vague idea, but It felt as if he was happier to be with his mom.
"We're almost there." He pointed at a large building which wasn't too discernable from where we were.
The dusty path transitioned to cobblestone and I oh-so-enjoyed the bumpy ride for a few more minutes until we halted. I was awestricken, not to see a bunch of kids running up to the castle's head butler, but to see him smile with all his heart, picking up one of the kids into his arms.
"Kace! Oh and I see you've brought a friend!" An unearthly sweet voice came from somewhere. Somewhere because I can't find where. Turning my head around almost like a snack to figure out where the voice came from.
"Hello! I'm assuming you're Riselle because of that pendant necklace. Kace has told me much about you, the stories were spellbinding! You should play us music sometimes, the kids would love it I'm sure of that." The voice was coming from lady a few inches shorter than my already relatively short self. I let out a tiny gasp, she was like a mini Kace! Kinda Ironic though since this is probably his mother. She looked youthful and happy, the same chestnut eyes and hair with Kace. Though her hair was a river of browns, the long length reminded me of travelling merchant soon to be queen lady.
"Miss Morozova?" I ask.
"Yes it is I! Thoust has come to meet me! Fate! Behold my kids this is fate unfolding!" She raised her arms to the sky and my mouth was left gaping. Personality wise, she and Kace aren't alike at all.

"My apologies Riselle. Mother is rather eccen- I mean outgoing." Kace chuckled. What a weird day this is. What a weird day indeed.
We entered the chapel soon after the greetings, the kids at my legs didn't keep me in high spirits. I am convinced they are little devil's advocates, still. Running across the room with such buoyancy despite being hushed by the nuns, my stamina would burn out before a fire has even been lighted.
"Now now kids! If you all don't take your seats in three you will not be given any snacks!" Miss Morozova announced and all the kids immediately took to their seats and glided their hand across their mouths signaling they'll keep quiet , except for a few stubborn ones. The problem kids have been identified.
I sit observantly, watching the snacks getting handed down and devoured by the little devil's advocates. Ah wait, that's kind of ironic too since this is basically a chapel.
Everyone in the room is soon preoccupied in their own little bubbles. I sit boringly, watching the unusual happy face of Kace going on about his life to his mother, and eventually I'm half asleep listening to sound of a violin being strummed weirdly. Off tune by a little bit. Am I supposed to be hearing a violin? I open my eyes realizing I was actually hearing a violin and slip away from everyone to follow the tryingly beautiful sound.
"I was right." I mumbled. Standing there under the colorful lights being reflected from stained glass was a young boy playing the violin. I take my seat in one of the aisles, long wooden chairs in rows- a very familiar chapel set up.
Until he finishes playing his song, I watch. And when he finishes, I clap my hands. His eyes dart to me, looking bewildered.
"You played well." I told him.
"Thank you miss! Do you play music too?" He started looking sort of happy. But I can't tell for sure. Kids start crying at any moment. Give them a gold coin, they'll be happy! And spoiled. But give them a gold coin and they trip and fall while holding it, and they'll start crying because they scraped their knee and dirtied the coin.
"Yeah! I'm a musician, but I play the piano and violin most of the time."
"Can you... play a song for me miss? I want to become a musician someday too!" The kid took wobbly steps to me and handed over the violin.
Ah well, I guess I shouldn't disappoint this little one.
