Day 73
Morning
"I... I don't want you to wipe my memory." I felt like I was on the verge of tears. Holding back the urge to breakdown trembling. "Even if it's a sad memory, or something I disliked... I don't think it deserves to be taken away from me!"
"But Riselle darling, you were fine when I first erased your memories." Eve said with a smile on her face. And she reached her hand out to cup mine.
You... Took away the precious memories of me and my time with someone I once had a connection with! And that person is now gone!
I pushed away the cruel girl I always thought of as a friend and ran to the door. Attempting to twist the knob, I realized the door was barricaded from the other side. There were windows at the other end as well, but from where Eve stood she'd catch me if I attempted to run for it.
"There is no escaping this, Riselle. You're going to forget everything and start living a rich life with me here in the kingdom of Revellis." She grimaced. "It's a fine offer for someone like you isn't it? You love to perform, and Revellis is just the place for that!"
"But that doesn't mean I'm okay with getting my memories taken away!" I clench my fists. "I'm happy with what I have now!"
"You don't seem to understand." Eve massaged her temples. "Oh but you don't have to. I'll just get this over with." Her eyes turned a deep violet and she gave me a captivating look. Quite literally. Unaware of what was happening, I looked into her eyes and realized I couldn't look away.
I started to feel drowzy, as if a part of me was fading away. This feeling, I was unable to fight it.
"Riselle!" A male voice calls out, and I hear the shattering of windows. Suddenly the hazy feeling disappears and I'm reminded that I'm in Eve's room. I see Eve on the floor unconscious, Rowan running towards me, and Prince Lichter by the window frame. It seems Rowan broke in, and the prince of Revellis followed.

"Oh dear sister... Father is most definitely going to take away your crown rights too." Prince Lichter sighed. "Guards! Please remove the barricade in front of Eve's room." He orders one of the guards outside then walks over to his unconscious sister. "My sincerest apologies, Prince Rowan. And Miss Riselle."
"Rowan..." I felt a tear slip out, then I started running towards him too. He pulled me into a tight hug once we were in front of each other. "I felt so betrayed, so scared. I... I don't want to forget you, or Kace or Luca... Aunt Aline, Riselle... I don't want that!"
"Yeah? I'm an idiot aren't I. I'm horrible. This is the second time I've endangered you." His hand was patting my head, and I held back from ugly sobs. Still quivering in his arms. I was only seconds away from losing you, again.
The prince pulled away, and wiped my tear stained cheeks. "What's even worst is that I kept this from you the whole time. If I had told you sooner, then maybe...-"
"No, it's not your fault. I understand, it was hard for you to tell me. Besides." I pause and smile weakly. "It seemed Eve intimidated you. So much you were only able to approach me after she disappeared." Yes, that's what happened. I'm sure of it now. The rose scented individual was Eve.
The door was finally opened by one of the guards, and Prince Lichter took his sister into his arms. "I'll go and deal with this one for now. I suggest you two go out on a date and make the most of your time in Revellis!" He says cheerfully and leaves the room.
"Shall we?" Rowan asks.
"Yeah. I'll just go fix myself, I look like a mess right now."
"Me too."
The two of us laugh for a brief moment, then I return to my room to get ready. A date? Is it really?

I guess calling it that wouldn't be too bad. The prince does deserve more than a bit of my kindness after he saved me for the second time.
The rest of Revellis was just as beautiful as the castle. Everyone was dressed so formally, and shops were everywhere. Down one alley were shops that sold gowns, dolls, there were shoemakers, and even something I've never seen in Elleris before which was a shop that according to the sign says they create daguerreotypes.
"Are you interested in that?" The prince asked me after he noticed how long I've been staring at the place. "It's a new technology that manipulates light and uses film."
"Ah..." I understood nothing of what he said.
Rowan took my hand and we entered the shop, it had a very unusal scent but I didn't mind it. In the shop, was a well dressed man with white hairs.
"Ah, what a fine couple." The man greeted. "I am Louis Daguerre, the owner of this shop. Are you interested in what we have to offer?"
At this point, there's no point in bothering if people assume we are a couple.
"Yes. The dagguerograph." The prince responded.
"Alright! Please have a seat there then." The man pointed at the area which had a curtain behind it and this tall standing mechanism facing it at the front.
"Rowan, you aren't going to ask the price?" Rich people. No, crazy rich people. Sheesh.
"A man does not worry about the coin when it comes to making his love happy."
"Eehh, I still think it's important not to spend so recklessly."
"What a practical girl." The man chuckled. "It only costs 50 bronze coins."
Thank goodness.
I walked over to the designated place with the Prince.
"Hmm. Move a bit closer to each other please, and look into this lens."
The prince moved closer to me and I felt really short, being only to his shoulder level. Once again I notice how he smells so nice. Now is not the time to be thinking of that. Just stare at that mechanism. Or lens whatever.
This "new technology" was obviously too much for me to comprehend.
After about a minute, a light went off blinding me for a moment. And a blank paper came out of the odd thing.
"Please give me a moment to process this." The shop owner tells us and heads into another room.
"We should go have lunch after this, what do you feel like eating Riselle?"
Honestly I want to try the meat here in Revellis, but that'd be shameful to say! "Err, I'm okay with anything."
"Is that so." The prince stares at me for a few moments. "Lets go to a pastry shop."
"Pastries? For lunch?" Could it be, Rowan has a sweet tooth?
"Yes. You don't like that?"
"It's alright." I try not to sound as if I was judging him.
The man soon came out of the room he went into. And handed what he was holding to Rowan. On that weird feeling piece of paper was him, and me.
It's the two of us together. And whatever this thing is called, it made me feel happy.
"See my love. If anyone ever takes your memories away from you again, you still have this."
Aww you idiot Prince. If you keep saying cheesy things like that, I'm really going to have a hard time.

The Kiss of Two Moons
The last year is upon us. The world is ending, but you already knew that; everyone does. Spring has come, and the flowers have bloomed here in this small town with no name. Thousands of different colours now paint the field that had been coloured by frost alone just yesterday. The townsfolk have gathered by the field to celebrate the beginning of the last spring with so many smiling faces. Tears too. I can’t help but wonder whether the flowers will bloom again before the sky falls upon us. Others must be thinking the same. There are moments when the smiles fade and their eyes glaze over as they realize just how near to the end we are. They forget it again in moments. They make themselves forget. The children aren’t like that, though. They don’t seem to understand, or they’ve come to accept it in a way that their parents just can’t manage to. This one boy actually asked me why I was sad. I had to wonder whether he was actually aware that the world is ending, but it seemed wrong to mention it. I ended up just telling him that I was waiting for someone, and he scampered off, wearing a silly smile. I can’t help but feel jealous of him. The beginning of next spring; the day that the world ends. It seems so far away, yet so close. Wherever you are now, I have to ask, how are you spending your last spring?
