Day 54

Morning

"Riselle, Riselle! Come look! The guests are here and they're sooo pretty! I swear I'm going to go lesbian for the girls from the kingdom of Acullis!"

It was 10 in the morning, and Adria was tugging me to where we could see the foreign guests without them spotting us. From where we were looking, I could only see their backs. Two of the girls were brunettes, one had her hair up in a bun, and the other had straight neck length hair. The third one was much taller than the two, I couldn't see her face but I could already feel how stunning she was.

Her hair was the same mesmerizing black as the Prince's. Long and wavy, all the way to her hips. All three were dressed in kimonos.

"Aaah they're sooo gorgeous! Do you think the prince would like them?" Adria was squeeling. I looked to view Rowan greeting them, and all I could see was his signature smile for formality plastered on his face. I bet it was no suprise for him, since being the prince probably gets him introduced to many beauties ever since he was a child.

"You two stalking our guests?" Luca joins us from watching behind a corner. "You'll be playing for them at dinner Riselle. Nervous yet?"

"Well now that you mention it, I very much am!"

"My apologies." Luca chuckled. "So, do you two want to place bets on which of them the prince will like the most?"

"The girl with black hair!" Adria was quick to respond.

"Ah yes, she's a good one. My bet as well. How about you Riselle?"

I stop to think for a while. For some reason, I just couldn't imagine the prince with any of those girls. Even given how pretty they are. "My bet is that he won't have a feel for anything."

"Woah!" Adria gasps. "Don't tell me... You want the prince all for yourself? That makes total sense!" She wiggles her brows.

"That was unexpected." Luca follows. "Have your feelings towards the prince changed? Or blossomed perhaps?"

"Huh- what?! No!" I simply couldn't see him with the girls sent here today, and I didn't mean anything else behind that.

"Good." The mage gave what I would describe a smile with an ulterior motive. As if he was saying 'good,' but for something of his own benefit.

"Afufufu!" Adria started giving that one look to Luca. The look she gave everyone when she was envisioning some weird fantasy or hypothetical situation in her head. Or if she felt she knew something. "Ah, I just remembered! I need to ask you something Riselle. But lets go to your room for more privacy. Because-" she stops to cough. "He's here."

"Hiding things from me? I'll find out soon enough." The male in question smirked. And the two of us dashed to my room, locking the door and window. Then double checking the entire room to make sure Luca wasn't inside. Man, is he a pain in the ass.

So much for him calling me the idiot.

"What did you need to talk to me about?"

"It's about Luca."

"Ooh. What about him?"

"I needed to confirm something. Because something is extremely fishy and making my romance radar go off." She scrunches her brows.

"Romance radar? Seriously? Anyways. What is it you want to confirm?"

"Was it Luca who had those ladies brought here?"

"Mhm."

"Oho! So I was right!"

"About?"

Adria sighs. "It would help if you weren't so dense. If I had to be straightforward about it I'd ruin all the fun again like with Kace! So I'll just say, I feel that Luca has carpeted reasons for why he brought some ladies to the prince." She explains. Unfortunately she lost me the moment she called me dense again. Safe to assume I was born with a brain as fried as the burnt fish my mother used to make whenever she tried to cook.

"But seriously Riselle? You rejected Kace without a second thought?"

"It's better than getting his hopes up for nothing."

"Hmph. Look at you surrounded by such powerful and good looking guys that care about you. Yet the way they look at you is the way you look at your violin and piano."

I roll my eyes at her, and she continues with a dissatisfied look. "Are you just emotionally insensitive? Or maybe... You're interested in women aren't you!" Her face lights up and I facepalm.

"Heterosexual... Homosexual... I'm probably musicsexual if that's even a thing."

"You really want to die lonely?"

"I'll never be alone when I have my piano and violin."

Despite how ridiculous we both sound, we're looking at each other with poker faces.

"On my wedding." Adria started with a foreboding tone of voice. "When I throw my bouquet... I will make sure you catch it." Her pokerface shifted into a glare. Scary.
