Cameron takes me back to his place and although I'd never admit it to him I'm glad. I text Bas and tell him I won't be home. He told me that he was meeting our father tomorrow and he wanted me to be there. I said no straight away but honestly I'm thinking about it. I always wanted a dad and I know now why he left. I don't understand but at least he had a reason.

"Are you angry at me love?" Cameron asks. Ever since we got back to his place he has been quiet.

"No"

"What is going through your head?" his eyes penetrate by skull.

"I could ask you the same thing" I say with a smirk. He has been just as quiet as me.

"I was giving you some space" he explains, "I'm sorry if bringing your mother here hurt you"

"I don't believe you could hurt me Cameron" I say softly and he smiles.

"I will always try not to love"

"I'm angry at my parents Cameron, not you. You did what you thought was right and I respect that. I just... I just wish they had explained thing to me and Bas. I'm angry because Brayden grew up knowing the truth. Dad shared that with him yet mum couldn't do the same for us."

Cameron seems to process my words and the two of us sit on the couch in silence. I lay down resting my head in his lap and Cameron runs his fingers through my hair gently stroking.

I don't realise that the two of us fell asleep until its morning. There is light streaming in through the lounge room window and I open my eyes to notice Cameron staring at me.

"How long have you been awake?" I ask wondering if slept at all.

"Not long. I enjoy watching you sleep" he answers with a smirk.

"That's creepy."

"I'm creepy?" Cameron raises an eyebrow and the two of us are laughing. Our laughter is interrupted by a loud banging on Cameron's front door. I notice Paulette rush to answer it and then she argues with the person on the other side of the door.

"No you really can't -"

"WHERE IS MY DAUGHTER?" a man's voice booms and Cameron stands suddenly from the couch causing my head to flop down onto the couch.

"Stay here" Cameron says quietly and I nod.

Cameron walks out to the foyer where the guest I'm assuming is my father.

"I would appreciate you keeping your voice down in my house" Cameron says calmly.

"Where is she? You brought us here and now my wife is distraught because our daughter won't talk to her."

"Your wife?" I clarify stepping into the foyer. Both men turn to me. Cameron's eyes are angry clearly guessing my mood. Jacob Maxwell however is taking in my appearance.

"Honey..." he murmurs and I feel my anger rise up.

"No. You don't get to call me that! It is Miss Reynolds to you. You are a stranger."

"I'm your father."

"No. You are the man who slept with my mother" I state with a shrug. Jacob steps towards me angry and Cameron pushes me back.

"Touch her and I'll kill you" Cameron growls and Jacob chuckles.

"You need to talk to your mother" Jacob says looking around Cameron to make eye contact with me.

"No."

"The woman I love is hurting and I will do everything in my power to fix that."

"The woman you love? Are you freaking kidding me? You left us! You left her!"

"I didn't have a choice!"

"Shut up! I'm not finished! You left her and then she picked you. Do you know Bas and I had a funeral for her? My brother and I planned her funeral and now she thinks she can just waltz back into my life well, no! I will talk to her when I want to and right now I want nothing to do with her." I feel Cameron's fingers intertwine with mine giving my hand a squeeze.

"And me?" Jacob asks.

"I thought that I would want to talk to you. But now you are here I know I was foolish. If Sebastian wants to know you I won't standing in the way of that but you left. You made your choice and now I get to make mine. Get. Out."

Jacob stands unmoving and unspeaking for what seems like an eternity before Cameron speaks.

"You heard my girlfriend. Get out of my house." Cameron's arm snakes around my waist and I turn into him. Pressing myself into his chest. His arms wrap around me squeezing me tight and he lifts me off the ground and I keep my face hidden in the crook of his neck. He carries me upstairs and places me down on his bed. I don't realise how exhausting that all was for me until I start to drift off.

"Cameron?"

"Yes love?"

"Can I stay here?"

"Of course."

"Thank you."

"I'd do anything for you Genevieve."

"Anything?" I say with an eyebrow raised and Cameron kisses my forehead.

"Go to sleep love" Cameron chuckles and I shut my eyes.
