《Alone (Werewolf Story)》3-Mark

After Track, the lunch bell rings. I head to the school cafeteria and order the cheapest thing on the menu. It's small, but will do. Once I get out of line though, I feel completely alien. Where to sit in a big room of people I don't know...

I could've sat next to Kat, but she had a different lunch period than me. That left me all alone. The lunch tray seems to weigh me down as I take the walk of shame around the cafeteria. I scan the room and my eyes meet someone else's. It looks like he was staring at me. When my eyes meet his, it makes me uncomfortable. He doesn't look away from my eyes, and I try to escape. I turn and sit in the other side of the cafeteria, not even noticing where I am sitting.

What was that feeling? What's wrong with me? I probably will have a crush on that dude. Oh darn. I don't like crushes, they mess with your brain. Make you go crazy. GOD HIS EYES WERE SO HOT!

See. I'm crazy.

I look back over my shoulder and the boy is now talking to some of his friends. He looks disappointed. Maybe cause he can't stalk me anymore. Whatever, I'm hungry.

I turn back to my food and hear a small cough from next to me. Turning slightly, embarrassed that I just sat at a random table, I see girl with bubblegum pink hair. When my eyes meet hers, she stares at me, eyes intense and empty. Suddenly, she snaps out of it, shaking her head. Her empty expression is replaced by a smirk.

"You eyeing Mark?" she asks, and I quickly shake my head. I'm not a boy crazy teenager. I refuse to believe I can have a crush.

"You don't have to deny it. He is pretty hot." she says it like it's a bad thing to look hot. But I didn't really see him, other than his eyes.

His eyes were kinda hot though.

the girl coughed and then I snap out of my internal coversation. "Is he one of those popular jerks?" I ask, trying to fit in. I heard something about popular jerks from someone talking in class. I may not be from this place, but I'm good at learning about how to fit in.

"Popular? Yes. Jerk? That's an opinion." she explains, seemingly emotionless. I am starting to think this is just her personality.

"And who are you?" I ask, I think I recognize her from my Track class.

"I'm Melissa, but it sounds too girly. Just call me Mel." she says quietly, almost sounding angry that she had a girly name. Then she looks at me expecting my answer.

"I'm Periwinkle, but it doesn't sound like a name, so call me Perri." I say lightly, and Mel laughs.

"Well Perri, I can already tell we are gonna be friends!" she exclaims, and I let out a small laugh

"Well we're both loners, so of course we'll be friends!" I reply. I look back over to Mark, feeling someone's eyes watching me. When I meet his gaze it's clear he was watching me for awhile. He turns away and I look back to Mel. She was watching me.

"What's his problem?" I ask, slightly annoyed. This stalker dude is watching me. But do I like it? NO

Maybe?
