What was that about he thought, he went back thinking of what he might have said that would have made her upset, but he came up empty. Women were indeed a mystery, he sighed. He decided to get a shower, and question her on what happened.

After taking a shower he felt refreshed to go question haunting. He met Clara drinking something hot from her mug, he guessed chocolate.

"So... what happened" he asked, sitting down next to her.

"Nothing"

"Yeah, you running off is nothing" he scuffed.

"I didn't run, I left something on fire"

"Lying doesn't look good on you"

"Why do you say so? "

"I don't know, it fits the moment. If you won't tell me it's up to you. What are you drinking anyways"

"Chocolate and you are not having any of it."

"Alright, I didn't know you were protective of your food" he said raising his hand.

"Yes, don't think about preparing for yourself either"

"Why" he whined.

She ran her hand over her face, " because you are allergic"

"Am not"

"Yes you are"

"No"

"Yes"

"Are you done acting like children"

They both turned their head at James.

"What?" they said.

"Sorry if am interrupting anything, but it got boring."

"How come we didn't hear you come in? " James asked.

"I knocked, but you were both arguing I invited myself in"

"Whatever why are you here?"

"At least pretend to be happy to see me. I came to take Clara out"

"She is busy"

"I am?"

"She is not, you both were arguing when I came in"

"She is now, Clara please prepare something for me to eat I feel, hungry"

"Now? "

"Yes, James in my office now "

"Yes boss, see you later darling"

He balled his fist, when he heard James call her darling. What is wrong with him? Why is James comment bothering him?

"Stop it"

"What"

"Do you have any wine?" James asked searching the shelves.

"Why are you here? "

"To see you, after what happened yesterday"

"How did you know"

"The doctor called me, scolding me for not telling you that you were allergic"

"Doctor Ken and his big mouth, it was nothing really"

"uh-huh so you running temperature like the desert is okay. If Clara hadn't stopped the fever from rising and called the doctor on time. You bro would be a patient."

"I don't remember"

"It's normal, you have been dealing with slot lately. That was why I was asking Clara out as a way of saying thank you."

"Simple thank you will do"

"Why so defensive dude, do you have feelings for her already?"

"No, how can I? She annoys me, she is another version of you, she is stubborn, fights me on every curve and thinks she is my boss." he finished all in one breath.

"And you have feelings for her, almost two months and you know her so well. She is good for you, glad I found your match"

"Are you listening to me"

"Yes, I did, with a body like hers why wouldn't you. I will advice to slim down thought." he added as an after thought.

"You WI do no such thing, she is beautiful the way she is. Everything about her is perfect" he cursed when he said the last part, what was actually wrong with him, now his mouth speaks before he thinks.

"Wipe that smirk off your face before I replace it with a punch"

"Woah, no violence, it's not I who has feelings for my assistant and denies it."

"Get out, you came to waste my time"

"Sorry, I was kidding, remember the file I brought the last time. We need to look at project 56, the client made some modification to the building"

"Uh, not again, did you tell him he would bear extra cost."

"Yes I did, oh you have to attend this year fundraising dinner."

"Not interested"

"Then I can ask Clara to be my date" he smiled.

"When is the dinner?"

"Tomorrow, why"

"I got invited"

"Yes I just told.. you will be going?"

"Yes"

"But.. but I thought you weren't coming"

"I am now"

"Who will be your date am sure you wouldn't ask Clara"

"Who else will ask, besides you know there is business where ever I go, who would Take notes and schedule meetings for me?" He asked, relaxing on his chair, he didn't like those dinner, yet here he was accepting to attend.

"Whatever, I could aleyaske her out another time, maybe when you are not around." he murmured getting up "I even ordered her a dress for the occasion too"

"Your lose, give it to someone else"

"I don't get it, you hate her guts yet you wouldn't want me to take her from your hair evenly for a minute. Then you sit and tell me you don't have feelings for her, I am shock." he squeezed Kelvins shoulder before walking out.

James was right, the thought of her with James angered him, yet he couldn't let her go. She make his emotions become like a rollercoaster. He shouldn't have any feelings for her, deep down he somehow felt it was okay to have. He sat in complete confusion, for a man whose words has power, Clara made him feel what he has never experienced. She was something he thought, a future with her was uncertain but a likely possiblity.

James question kept repeating itself in his mind, have you developed feelings for her?

If yes what was it, if no why does he feel all his emotions at the surface.
