SCOTLAND - HOGWARTS
The next few days was uneventful, the end of their first year were drawing close and final exams were starting. Percy have been monitoring the Golden trio who indeed seem to be creating a plan to get the philosopher stone. Percy was sure that they were just waiting for the right time to get said stone.
Percy's plan was to trail the trio once they go after it, why not he just go alone? because he doesn't know whats going to be in there and for all his research he was sure that even some challenge would be too hard for him.
For one he had a sinking suspicion that Dumbledore wanted the golden trio to get it, why else would he announce to the whole school about the third floor? Dumbledore was up to something alright. Percy and his friends had finally finished their history of magic exam, and to his amusement Blaise was complaining left and right about the exam "how should I know about the werewolf code of conduct?!" he whined "um I don't know study?" Theo replied sarcastically "oh please you and Percy will obviously pass with O's you two didn't even looked like you had trouble with it!" Blaise exclaimed.
The rest of the day went on and Percy had a sinking feeling that the golden trio will go for the stone soon.
----- time lapse-----
Percy left the transfiguration class room inwardly grinning. For the final exam for tranfiguration he had to turn a mouse into a snuffbox and had gotten extra points for decorating his with an ocean inspired design. But as the day got on he realized that the plan had to take place tonight. Golden trio or not he had to get in.
And he will not fail to succeed.

------- time lapse----
Tonight. It had to be tonight, he could feel the magic stirring in the air. As if it was preparing for something. Percy have been staying up late, practicing, researching, getting ready for what is to come.
He was nervous yes but he could feel the adrenaline pumping in his veins. It made him all the more determined to get the stone. He didn't want to wait, he wanted to charge in there and take on the Cerberus and hurry to the next task. But he knew he couldn't, it would be to suspicious.
So he paced the bedroom, long after the others were asleep (quite deeply in fact, it might have helped that he had dropped a little bit of sleeping potion in their drinks at dinner) he could see the ball of light in front of him going of crazy. Percy the evening before had sneaked in front of the Gryffindor portrait and had set up a few alarms so that he could know once the Golden trio walked out the common room.
Percy rushed to activate his pendant and focused. He had recently mastered what he called vapor travel with the help of his father. It was basically manipulating the water molecules in his body and around him and by using his powers and magic transport him somewhere else. It was basically like apparating. It was also very exhausting so he was taking a huge risk by using it tonight.
Once his body materialize in the third floor he silently ran to the room he went to yesterday, seeing the door slightly opened he walked inside quietly to see the Cerberus already asleep. Percy having the advantage and the help of the pendant rushed to the trapdoor that was wide opened. Percy ended up trapped by a plant he vaguely remember as devil's snare and flicked his hand to get his wand. He lighted a fire which made them release him.

He continued on and entered a chamber filled with what looks like keys flying around. The trio was working their hardest to get the keys. And Percy feeling drained already because of the vapor travel decided to wait it out. Harry was obviously good with a broom, which is the reason why he had gotten the keys needed to open the next door. Percy followed them to the next room.
The trio had to play a violent life size game of chess. And Percy did not envy them what so ever. When the weasel got hurt and they stayed behind for a while Percy took no time in rushing to the next room undetected.
He was met with a troll who he took down with a strong sleeping charm aimed to the head. Percy then went over to the next room, which happened to be a potions task. Percy tried hard to figure out the riddle and decided that he had no time. He vapor traveled to the next room where he fell to his knees. Percy pushed himself up getting a small vile of an energizing potion his father had sent him -through the charmed mailbox- from his pocket and downed it in one gulp.
He instantly felt more energized and walked towards the only thing present in the room. A mirror.
This was it, he could feel it. This was the last task. But Percy didn't know what to do and time was running out. Percy feeling stumped glared at the mirror, a bloody mirror was his last challenge and he couldn't even get past it.
But then he saw it. The image of himself in the mirror moved his arm and took out a small red stone from the pocket of his pants. Percy checked his own pockets and was shocked to find it there. The philosopher stone. It was in his hands. He didn't thought twice about vapor traveling out and back into his room not noticing the scarred black haired boy staring shocked at his hooded appearance.
All he could think of was how his father would be proud.
