"So.. where is he?" Odlaw says it again. You look down and kick around with your feet.

"I actually don't know.. I thought maybe he would be here?" you say. Odlaw chuckles a bit and looks around.

"If Waldo was here they wouldn't be cleaning up right now, they would be throwing pots against the walls. He's like an invisible Mothman. An agent of chaos. What a weird dude." Odlaw adjusts his hat. "Regardless, I'm still.. er was-? His friend, although I'm not really sure. He wanted me to play this bad guy in his little adventure fantasy and then snapped at me for doing what he asked me to. I'm starting to wonder if he's ok in that striped melon of his." Odlaw sighs a bit.

"Adventure fantasy?" you ask.

"Yeah. He wanted to feel like some kind of time traveler.. adventurer guy? You aren't the first human he's played around with either, from what I understand his last attempt was with some guy named Steve until he just.. I guess he left him in Egypt or something." You feel your heart drop a little as he says this, and before thinking you feel your voice bubble out of your throat

"But! He told me I was the only human that had ever seen!" you feel yourself starting to lose a bit of control

"Deception my friend. That's what he tells all of the people he picks up. I'm sure Steve would say the same thing" Odlaw's tone sounds a bit more deadpan now. "I am also one of the people he's toyed with over the years. He decided he didn't want me to be a companion... or whatever, he just said that I should be a moustache twiddling villain instead. Try to take his cane away from him. Kind of an egomaniac that one" Odlaw's personality seemed totally different when Waldo wasn't around. What kind of a person was Waldo really? What was Waldo hiding from you all along? The grotesque image of Wenda invades your mind as if from nowhere.

"What about.. Wenda? What happened to her?" Odlaw eyes widen and he has a pained look on his face.

"Sit down.. I'll tell you about it" he says with an awkward chuckle.
