Darkness settles over the valleys as I sit on the balcony. Paul sits next to me also admiring the beauty of dusk. "When will he be back." I ask interrupting the silence.

"Not tonight." He responds. "Its a full moon, everyone's out."

"Not me." I say. "I don't want wander off somewhere and not find my way back."

"You won't loose your way." Says Paul. "But you aren't marked yet. The first full moon after a she-wolf finds her mate she is in heat." I nod. I had no idea what being in heat was like and I wasn't sure how to feel about it. "But as you haven't been marked you can't go out anyway as in heat any unmated male is going to want to take you for himself and Ash would not be pleased". I nodded again, I knew I would never be able to be forced into something I didn't want, especially when all I wanted was Ash! But I understood that I shouldn't put the other unmated males into a position where they can't help but try.

After a few minutes its completely dark. The bright full moon started to loom overhead. I look over at Paul who is looking at the woods with a hungry look. "Go." I command. He looks at me and than lunges straight over the balcony into the forest below.

I wake up in a hot sweat and look frantically around the room. I just woke up from a bad dream. I was bleeding in the forest, left to die. I shake my head. Most of the fear has gone but I can't shake the hot and sweaty feeling... Then it hit me like a train, the most shocking, agonising pain in my stomach... 'heat' my wolf said to me in my head. I toss off the duvet and head out to the balcony in need of the air as my sweats took over.

The full moon is high in the sky. Taking a deep breath I close my eyes and breath in the crisp air. I let my wolf surface. Giving her full control of my body she listens to the forest and shuts out the aching pain inside me. I can hear the faint sounds of howls and twigs snapping deep in the forest bring a sly smile to my face.

Than suddenly it hits me full force another wave of pain and a needy hunger starts to bubble up inside. Immediately my eyes fly open and dart to the ground and gasp. Ash is standing in the shadow of the trees. The moonlight reflects off his upper torso. A slight blush rolls onto my cheeks when I realize that he is naked. Thankfully I can't see past his torso. But I feel myself getting wet at the site, I now understood my heat didn't just drive the men crazy, it made my need overwhelming too! My eyes finally meet his and I completely go still. Two golden eyes stare back at me with such intensity it starting to make me melt. The sweaty and hot feeling immediately flares up just as a breeze starts to blow from behind me. His eyes glow brighter when my scent washes over him. He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, I know he can tell I'm in heat. My wolf growls and immidiatly his eyes fly open and before I can even move I am being slammed back into the wall behind me.
