《Klaroline: Capable of Love》Chapter 13

Klaus's POV
I am in my studio sketching a picture of Caroline when my phone goes off. It is a text from Elijah telling me that we are having a family dinner in five minutes. I put my things away and make my way to the dining room. Elijah and Kol are already there talking about some witch that I probably don't care about.
I sit down at the table and say, "So how are my..."
"NIKLAUS!", I hear Rebekah yell followed by a door slam.
She walks into the dining room and I ask, "What is on your mind dear sister?"
"Caroline is trying to kill herself and I lost her." I flash out of there before she was done talking and try to smell Caroline's scent. I can smell her so I follow it and I see her standing on top of a building.
I flash up there and ask her, "Now what are you doing here love?"
She says blankly, "I don't deserve life."
I look at the Caroline who is usually full of light and ask her, "What happened to you?"
She says looking forward, "I killed a man. He keeps reappearing to me. He has a family and I took him away from them."
I sigh knowingly and say, "You have the Hunter's Curse."
I look at her finger and see that her ring isn't on it. I ask, "What did you do with your ring."
"I took it off, I don't deserve it, I am a monster who deserves to die. I will wait until the sun rises, then I will die like I should have when I turned."
I grab her and flash her to the mansion. She scream "I have to do this, please let me do this I have to die." She starts squirming in my arms and I take her to a room with out any wood or windows.

I set her down on the bed and say, "Caroline, I will fix this."
Caroline's POV
"Doesn't Klaus get it?", I look over and see the man I killed sitting next to me on the bed. "You need to die because if you don't you will just kill again and more kids will be left without parents."
I just look at him with sad eyes and nod.
He says, "You know, my wife died when my daughter was just two, so now she doesn't have any parents."
"STOP GETTING IN MY HEAD!", I yell. I grab a poker from the fireplace and stab him in the stomach. All of a sudden he turns into Klaus and I step back in horror. "Oh my god Klaus, I'm so sorry."
He removes the poker from his stomach and gives me a weak smile. He says, "Caroline, it isn't your fault. You are hallucinating and we need to find another hunter to active their powers so this stupid thing will go away."
I nod and lie down and say, "I am going to go to sleep."
He nods stiffly and leave the room with the firewood and poker. Once he is gone I sense someone laying beside me.
I turn around and say, "Oh my god mom."
She says, "Honey you just need to end it, then we can be together."
I start crying and repeat to myself, "This isn't real, this isn't real, this isn't real." I turn back around and then she is there, too.
"Caroline, sweety, you hurt people and you deserve a better life than that. You can come with me, and we will be together, forever."
I try to stop crying and say, "Do you really think that mom?"
"Of course I do", she says coming to sit next to me and stroking my hair, "I would do whatever I think is best for you."
I say, "I can't mom, I can't do it, I want to live. I want to have a nice life." By the end I am totally in tears. I lay down on the bed and try to fall asleep, it is going to be the longest night of my life.

8 423Moonshot
Gregarious businessman Evin Tumble is fascinated by the sudden and inexplicable appearance of a low-orbiting moon. Specifically, he's interested in shooting it down with a giant cannon. The moon is only about eight miles overhead, but it's high enough and quick enough that nobody can reach it by balloon or airship. He hires our protagonists: taciturn Iseult Morrin, cheerful Sean Whelan, and nervous Íde Ceallaigh, to help him with his obsession. As our heroes are dispersed across the continent to perform tasks for Tumble, and the moon-hunt draws closer, they become increasingly suspicious of their benefactor's motives and true nature. Moonshot is a story centred around struggling with confidence, the difficulty of being an immigrant, and the duality of truth, all clad in the trappings of an urban fantasy. It is character-driven, from the heart, and based on tropes and ideas that are missing from a lot of contemporary fantasy (a push beyond the flawless-yet-somehow-still-needs-rescuing-by-an-oafish-man heroine trope, a touch of cosmic magic based on the shared geometries of Celtic and Arab art).

8 81The Summoner's Call
No schedule. The first 20 or so chapters have a little cringe-inducing English. The story is slow and summoning spells are actually scarcely shown at the beginning. Old synopsis: Have you ever heard about him?Of he who was born in the city of mages? He, who once burned a kingdom to the ground?Whose spells did he wave together humbled the gods?Who made men's wildest nightmares pale before those he called from the beyond? The Hypocrite. The Thief. The Mad. The Murderer. The Calamity.History talks about those and more men, and their many deeds. What it doesn't tell is that all of them were only one man.He was known by many names. The Summoner. So, tell me, haven't you heard of him before? It doesn't matter, so listen, as I will tell his story one last time.
