《Safe Keeping (Klaroline)》Chapter 5

5 minutes after the vampire leaves Shinichi appears with Matt. For some reason Matt seems unable to move but when he spots me, his eyes grow a little wider. "What an interesting place..." Shinichi drawls, nose turned up as if he just smelt something foul. "I'm here, let Matt go," I say calmly as possible, though inside i'm snapping witty insults. "Yes Yes as promised. You can have the boy, not that you will be seeing him but he gets to live." Shinichi motions forward with his right hand and Matt stumbles forward. "Now darling come here."
"Um No, Matt run!" I yell, taking a few steps back.
"But Care!?" he protests, I glare fiercely at him, a look that says 'I'll be fine, get the hell out of here.'
"Very noble, Darling, but you aren't leaving."
I give up on mental distress calls and stand up straight. "Who do you think you are destroying My town and threatening My friends, Threatening Me! Well, I refuse, you can't take me," I proclaim taking another step back. "Watch me," he grins, his 7 tails swishing in excitement. I instantly feel immobile. I can't even lift a finger. But I can still talk. "Let. Me. Go!" I protest, trying with all my might to move even a toe.
"Sorry Darling."

Klaus
I look away from Marcel and at my brother who rather hastily strolls toward us. "Brother we are in the middle of discussing-"
"Caroline's gone," Elijah says calmly, although his eyes betray his worry. Without even looking at Marcel I follow Elijah. As we pace through New Orleans I ask "What happened?"
"Caroline was threatened, Shinichi left photos that Caroline didn't want sent to Mystic Falls, Photos of the two of you, though we dismissed the threat she didn't seem overly worried after she shut the photos in a draw, which haven't moved from that position. I believe Shinichi has used other leverage to get her there. Possibly threats of destroying the town or harming her friends..." Elijah paused and I started talking. "Say she did go to meet him, where would she go?"

"I suppose it would be some place easy for us to find, but Shinichi wont make that mistake again, plus Niklaus, Caroline wouldn't know where to go," I consider what Elijah has just said and weigh the options in my mind. "She would still try to be helpful, think about key things that may have helped her chose in a town she doesn't know," I wonder aloud as we check quickly in normal Caroline-y places. "What about something that links the two of you? Like where you were on your last trip?" Elijah offers. "No, that's too far away, it would be something she could easily find wandering around, or asking around... Elijah, what did you tell her of the witches and werewolves of New Orleans?" I ask.
"She knows of the witches and simply that the Werewolves aren't in the city anymore." I think on this for a second. "Her little witch friend Bonnie, Caroline might have found something to do with the witches, or the werewolves, She knows how I despise Tyler so that is a good guess," I start heading toward the french quarter only to have Elijah place a hand on my shoulder. The witches would have told Marcel if Shinichi was messing around in the quarter, also, didn't you first meet saving her life from a werewolf bite you caused?" Elijah counters. Aha!
"Well then brother, to the Bayou."

Binary Progression: Torrented Edition
This was ment to be the self-published 'real' book of Binary Progression; turns out there isn't much of a market for this kind of story... that and it sucked! As such I am writing another (more successful) series but this was just laying about my book folder so I'm posting it here, please forget the fact I said it sucked, pretty please. JohnWillStab is the poorly-named shut-in on a quest to get into MMOs after a failed online career backfired leaving him uninterested in his speciality, strategy games. He discovers an old, abandoned game with an active, albeit very eccentric, community of no more than five-hundred players on a single server maintained by an unknown individual. Unbeknownst to him, the game he found is more than just an ordinary WoW clone and after many adventures with his group, they make the terrifying discovery that after two full volumes this story becomes a god damn isekai. What’s worse, JohnWillStab, the number-one edgelord on the server is somehow ending up in positions of power despite literally being an undead rogue with evil magic tentacles! Will John’s edginess ruin the isekai? Why does the doctor have the highest kill-count in the game? Is 👑 really a valid character you could use for your username? Can the chef perform an exorcism? Why is God asking John for chicken nuggets? Really, he could just spawn them in - in fact, we saw him spawning food in before!

Parallels
Parallels are a constant in life. Our friends' lives often run parallel to ours; we share similar experiences or tastes- perhaps even both. Sometimes, however, opposites attract- and our lives run perpendicular. In that case, we are not attracted by similarities; rather, we are attracted to the differences in others. So, what happens when two parallels are broken apart? What might happen to them? Are they forever doomed to run alongside each other, never seeing one another, never meeting? Or, perhaps, might they be spun about? Could these lines that formerly ran alongside one another meet? Could they possibly be set perpendicular? Any feedback is welcome, so long as it is constructive. Also, you may not use any characters, ideas, places, or what have you that I present here without my explicit permission. A note: This is a story which I began over a year ago, but never got around to finishing- it feels about time to really get it going. Now, there are a couple of things about the story, and myself, that need to be said. First and foremost, there's a slow start, but by the third-fourth chapter things should be speeding up a bit. Secondly, in regards to release speed and/or word count per chapter, I make no promises- my schedule is fairly random, and in regards to word count, I will cut off any chapter at any point that feels appropriate to me- that may include cliffhangers, if necessary. I'm not trying to reach a specific word count, I am trying to create a cohesive story, with pseudo-appropriate chapter breaks. This means I will also not rush a half-baked release for the sake of getting a release out. Thirdly, I will make any edits, anywhere in the story and at any time, that strike me as necessary- typically being wording and/or formatting changes, but I may also decide to change major plot points- in that case I would put a notification in the next chapter released. Finally, and most importantly, I am a Christian; this story is intended to at least moderately reflect those values. So, if you particularly dislike any of these things, feel free to look elsewhere, and don't let the door hit you on the way out. God bless, friends.

Arca Archa
New chapter weekly. In the year 2100, later to be renamed 1 AR, the world's first stable rift finally opened. It permanently connected Earth with Arca Archa, the mythical otherworld where the basis of all our myths, legends, and folklore once stemmed from. However, tragedy soon struck the world following this historic union as the Russian Great rift Outbreak event brought about a catastrophic loss of life and left the majority of the country covered in ashes. As if that was not already enough, in the aftermath of this incident, brand new and never before seen rift events began to spring up all over the world. These rifts would oftentime connect to the many dangerous and hazardous locations of Arca Archa, rife with perils that threatened the everyday peace of society. This led to the united nations of the world's adaptation of the guild system of the Arcanians and the subsequent immigration of their people in an effort to combat, mitigate, and control these events. Now, over two decades later, Edmond lives alone in this post rift era where he has to regularly deal with the consequences and fallout of these two worlds now intertwined.

[OLD] The Magus of Imminent Oblivion
AN: This is a pretty shitty novel, in case you haven't already guessed that by the rating. Check out the newer version that I'm writing, since it has more content written and higher quality (I hope). He was a nameless child born at the end of a great war. He gave himself a name, then worked his way to prosperity. He had a job, a wife, a daughter, and his future looked bright. But, then, things changed. His wife and daughter were dead, and a hundred bodies laid strewn across the floor. He couldn't continue to live; he pierced his body with his own sword. Awakening in a new world, his new body burned with an old fury. Where magic was common and power was cheap, he vowed to never let anything get the better of him.
