BRANDON's P.O.V
so i may or may not have just fucked up my relationship with Lorin forever. but, i was too angry to even feel bad or guilty.
i was walking through the street with my hood pulled over my head, it was soaked from the rain that was pouring down.
i busted through the doors of a bar and sighed as i took my hood off and went up to sit on one of the stools.
"watcha need, sir?" the bartender asked and i shrugged, looking down at my white sneakers. the bartender snapped to get my attention.
"i'll just grab you a Strawberry-Rosé Spritzer." the man says and grabs a class cup and proceeds to make the drink.
a woman clears her throat beside him. he drowsily looked up to see a girl wearing a blue and white striped sundress, smooth caramel skin, light black curls that framed her face and the delicate smile they showed off so perfectly well.
"what's your name?" she asked, but, Brandon was too spaced out by her looks and the way the words so sweetly left her lips, that he didn't have the words to answer her with.
"B-Brandon... Arreaga." he stutters and keeps staring at her, she laughs as he states his name and she starts getting giddy.
"from prettymuch?!" she almost yells and bounces in her seat, which Brandon thought was cute.
"yeah." he replies and chuckles lightly at her happy-go-lucky attitude. her eyes widen and slaps her hands to her mouth in surprise and she jumps at him, wrapping him in a hug.
he hugged her back, he was still shook though, no fan he had seen looked as good as her, "what's YOUR name?" he asks and smiles at the girl as she sits back down in her seat, a goofy grin still implanted on her cheeks.

"bri. bri adams." she replies and fiddles with the off-white tassles on the end of her sundress.
"what are you at a bar for? troubles?" she asks looks delicately up at him, a light sparkle in her golden-flecked hazel orbs.
"i like girl, friend likes girl, girl likes friend, i hate girl, i hate friend." he says and then they both break into a fit of laughing for a few seconds, "what about you?" he asks.
she picks up her straw and stirs her drink with it, all the ice pieces clinking together against the glass as she sucks her teeth and gives a nervous chuckle.
"would it surprise you if i said that's my case too?" she says slowly and i laugh, shaking my head.
"nah. i'm starting to think we're not that different." he says and smiles warmly at her, she was a dreamy sight to his eyes.

His devastated parents are reeling from the Recession, his friends are shiftless drunks, and his younger sister has been committed after discovering Jason's body. In an attempt to assuage the trauma his family has experienced and break away from his own shitty existence, Evan decides to grab his portion of the modern American Dream by trying out for that year's American Idol auditions in Nashville. Never mind that Evan's a 21-year-old virgin with a self-image as poor as his social skills. Never mind that he's never even attempted to sing before. In 21st century America, anything is possible, or so Evan's been told by a cultural upbringing of "Follow your dreams" and "Everyone is special" and "True love awaits". Speaking of true love, Evan asks Lily Trent to accompany him on the journey. Lily is a childhood acquaintance with whom he's recently reconnected and developed a crush on. Lately Lily's been working as a stripper, a cynical and jaded young woman who may or may not have her own motivations for joining Evan on the trip. Evan hopes the time alone will spark reciprocal affections in Lily, and an improbable come-from-nowhere triumph on national TV will not only free his family from their blue collar burdens, but win him the respect and love he craves-- not just from others, but from himself. Together, Evan and Lily discover why learning how to fail may be their generation's greatest lesson. Cover art by Gerry Siorek

A God's Champion
James was an Operator who had the misfortune to die in battle. Instead of his soul moving on to his just reward, it is intercepted, and James finds himself on a new mission. Asked to be the Champion for Ignatius, God of Embers, he finds himself in a different world, fighting impossible creatures and trying to survive. Their lives now depend on his completing the Challenge and ranking in the top 500. But the odds are stacked against him, and he was a better operator than a swordsman. Chapters released Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 12:30 Warning: After Chapter 11, the MC undergoes a significant change of class and race. This is due to a couple of factors. The first is that when the MC was created, James didn't know what he was doing, so he picked what he thought would work. The second reason is that he had access to more information to game the system a little. The premise is like when you buy a new video game and decide to play it without RTFM. After creating a great character and making it to the end of the first act, you realize that, although your character may be kewl, it is gimped and will not survive until the end of the game. Going back to the start, you create a new character with the knowledge you gained from playing the game and perhaps, peeking at the manual.
