BRANDON's P.O.V
so i may or may not have just fucked up my relationship with Lorin forever. but, i was too angry to even feel bad or guilty.
i was walking through the street with my hood pulled over my head, it was soaked from the rain that was pouring down.
i busted through the doors of a bar and sighed as i took my hood off and went up to sit on one of the stools.
"watcha need, sir?" the bartender asked and i shrugged, looking down at my white sneakers. the bartender snapped to get my attention.
"i'll just grab you a Strawberry-Rosé Spritzer." the man says and grabs a class cup and proceeds to make the drink.
a woman clears her throat beside him. he drowsily looked up to see a girl wearing a blue and white striped sundress, smooth caramel skin, light black curls that framed her face and the delicate smile they showed off so perfectly well.
"what's your name?" she asked, but, Brandon was too spaced out by her looks and the way the words so sweetly left her lips, that he didn't have the words to answer her with.
"B-Brandon... Arreaga." he stutters and keeps staring at her, she laughs as he states his name and she starts getting giddy.
"from prettymuch?!" she almost yells and bounces in her seat, which Brandon thought was cute.
"yeah." he replies and chuckles lightly at her happy-go-lucky attitude. her eyes widen and slaps her hands to her mouth in surprise and she jumps at him, wrapping him in a hug.
he hugged her back, he was still shook though, no fan he had seen looked as good as her, "what's YOUR name?" he asks and smiles at the girl as she sits back down in her seat, a goofy grin still implanted on her cheeks.

"bri. bri adams." she replies and fiddles with the off-white tassles on the end of her sundress.
"what are you at a bar for? troubles?" she asks looks delicately up at him, a light sparkle in her golden-flecked hazel orbs.
"i like girl, friend likes girl, girl likes friend, i hate girl, i hate friend." he says and then they both break into a fit of laughing for a few seconds, "what about you?" he asks.
she picks up her straw and stirs her drink with it, all the ice pieces clinking together against the glass as she sucks her teeth and gives a nervous chuckle.
"would it surprise you if i said that's my case too?" she says slowly and i laugh, shaking my head.
"nah. i'm starting to think we're not that different." he says and smiles warmly at her, she was a dreamy sight to his eyes.

Gateway
An archaeologist by the name of Søren Quinn wakes up elsewhere after boarding a plane for Iceland. Now he has to come to terms with a significant loss of recent memory and his apparent death and rebirth, provided he can survive the rigors of the Tutorial on Gateway Station and whatever waits for him after the Tutorial. Updates. When I can... sorry. Author's Note. Gateway is a portal/isekai style GameLit novel, but it has two main lead characters and will eventually have a small cast of minor lead characters to support them. There will be small elements of base building / kingdom management added as well over time, but they will not be the focus. Gateway really is a slow burn that takes some time to get going unfortunately, but I hope you find it's worth the wait. Thank you! p.s. Book One is finally done (only needed one more chapter unfortunately...) but I'm off hiatus now and will be starting on Book Two right away!

I only really remember the first one: [The [Simplification Process] has begun.] And so, while the world was doing a 180, I was stuck deep underground as an incorporeal soul, absorbing the essences of thousands others like me who had been torn to shreds just to prevent myself from dissipating, and trying desperately to go up while recovering jumbled up memories from my past. From God to goblin
A lone immortal is chased from heaven when heaven's court changes hands. Evading his enemies, he flees into one of the few places even gods will never enter, a rip in the fabric of space and time. with his body destroyed, his soul persists through the whole endeavor only to be reborn as..... something a little different.... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi everyone! As a first time writer, I'd love some constructive criticism as well as general comments about my work as a whole. This story is something I've been kind of thinking about for the better part of a few months and I actually got anxious enough to attempt to put it in writing. Releases may be sporadic as I'm currently in school, and chapter lengths will vary depending on how much I feel i need to write to get my point across. The tags are temporary and may change. I plan on using a cultivation/mana system as this will be somewhat of a crossover
