me and Zion were in his car and he was driving me home, we were almost to my house and i had this sickening feeling in my gut that i just couldn't shake.

Zion sees my reflection in the window as i stare out in guilt. he sets his hand on my thigh and i turn to face him as he gives me a reassuring smile and i give him a half smile in return.

"babe, i told he'll come around and i mean it." he says and i want to believe him.

"you didn't see the way he spoke to me. he hates me, Z." i sigh and continue my melancholy stare out the car window.

"Lorin, he doesn't hate you." he repeats.

"yes! he! does!" i yell, now a little pissed off, "he's angry at me and i can't do anything to make it up to him!"

"he can't be angry at you, you did nothing wrong but tell the truth!" he insists, still struggling to be supportive.

"you're so fucking ignorant, Caleb!" i yell louder as the car slows to a stop at my condominium building and i was now fuming with anger.

he was about to say something, but, before he could i stepped out of the car and slammed the door shut and stomped over to my condo door, unlocking and opening it.

before i closed the door, all i could see of Zion was him massaging the bridge of his nose and shaking his head.
