oh, the irony. was it a coincidence? that the universe brought us back together like this? no. unless the universe was terribly drunk.
soooo, i woke up. but, not like i remembered. i remember falling asleep in Zion's lap, freezing without a blanket.
now, i'm in NO ONES lap and i'm under some really freaking soft blanket. oh, but i'm still on the couch at my condo, so no worries.
but, i also woke up to sizzling. i slowly sat up and groaned as i did, rubbing my eyes and taking a peek to see what that sizzling was. it was Zion cooking breakfast.
i stood up and threw the covers off of me and back into the couch. i stretches and yawned, which caught Zion's attention as he looked back and smiled.
"no, i didn't stay last night. but, since i have a key to your condo still, i thought i'd pop by in the morning to make sure you were okay." he says and then he looks down at the bacon he was flipping, "oh, and to cook you breakfast." he chuckles as he takes the bacon off the stove and puts them on a plate along with some eggs.
i don't do anything but smile at him and grab a glass from the shelf and pour some orange juice in it. then, i wall over to the table and sit down as Zion takes the plate over to me and sets it down on the table.
i look up at him and he smiles at me and kisses me gently on the forehead before i turn back to my food and start eating. god, could this man cook. when we were together, he couldn't cook at all. hell, he burnt water.
but, right as i was starting to eat, the doorbell rang. Zion was still cooking for himself, so i got up and went to answer it.

i opened the door to see Brandon and he stepped inside urgently as if it was an emergency.
he then moved closer to me, awkwardly. it made me slightly uncomfortable. "Lorin. i know it hasn't been long since you broke up with your boyfriend, but i really like you and i think that maybe we could go get dinner together sometime and—" he stopped as Zion stepped into Brandon's vision with some sort of protective look and stance and Brandon suddenly flustered up.
"oh! i didn't know you were with... Zion." he sighs and turns around, opening the door and attempting to leave, but, before he does, i grab his hand and he turns back around.
"it's fine, Brandon. i'm just not very interested right now." i reassure and he blows a breath of relief as he frantically nods and then continues out the door, shutting it behind him.

8 115The Writer
Frustrated with his limits, the young writer Seven accepts an offer from a supernatural entity, traveling to its world whilst given the chance to live past his regrets. Humans, though, are creatures that don't easily change, and his warped views of reality turn him into an unpredictable ally or foe in the game of death that is to follow. For the sake of translating his new experiences into a written masterpiece, he will spare nothing, not even his own life - so long as the work is complete. *** Romance tag was previously there, but it starts quite late in the story and I've yet to reach that part. I know how it will happen (more precisely, how I want it to happen), but currently, there are just subtle nuances that can only be left to the reader's very expansive imagination, and I wouldn't call that romance but a
