BRIAN
"Fuck!" I shouted loudly as I slammed my fists hard against the side of the bunks.
How could I do that to her? How was I supposed to make this right? The only answer I could come up with was the bottle of Jack under my bunk. I reached under and grabbed it by the neck and pulled it out. I unscrewed the cap and tossed it on the ground and started gulping the whiskey down.
The burning in my throat numbed the burning in my heart. After chugging about a quarter of the bottle, I heard a voice from the living room that made my blood boil.
"That's right we are. In fact, I think I'm going to check on him." I heard Aubrey say.
She opened the door and walked into the bunk area, closing the door behind her.
"Why so blue honey?" She said with a smile on her face. I groaned and took another sip of the whiskey.
"Get the hell out of here, Aubrey." I told her. She giggled and walked in front of me.
"Oh come on Synyster, it's for the best anyway. Now instead of teasing, you can actually fuck me." She said in a sexy voice.
I was livid. I slammed the bottle on the floor and stood up. Aubrey took a step closer to me, but then when she saw the look in my eyes, she backed up.
"I would never fuck you Aubrey. I love Kate with all of my heart, and I would never cheat on her. Do you understand that?" I told her. Aubrey's expression went from in lust, to pissed.
Her nostrils flared and she clenched her fists.
"You bastard!" She shouted at me.
Aubrey took off one of her heels and threw it at me, then she threw the other one. I kept walking backwards until I tripped over a suitcase and fell to the floor. Aubrey eyed the bottle that was on the floor and she picked it up. She brought it to her lips and took a long pull from it.

"You'll never win her back Synyster. She can't handle this lifestyle. You'll see, then you'll be begging for me." She said. I laughed darkly and went to stand up.
"Not on your life, you're nothing but a groupie slut." I spat at her.
Aubrey narrowed her eyes at me and let out a yell. I watched her swing the bottle at me. Instinctively, I brought my arm up to protect my head. The bottle hit my arm and I heard it shatter. Aubrey turned to leave, but I wasn't finished with her. I was beyond pissed. I jumped up and caught her arm and pushed her into the bathroom door.
"I want you to listen to me you bitch. Don't you ever, ever say another word about Kate or I'll expose you for what you really are. You will never be like Kate. She's special and she didn't have to sleep with everyone to get her position."I told her darkly.
Aubrey just stared at me with her mouth slightly open. My eyes locked with hers and I have her the scariest glare that I could. I watched her swallow hard and look away from me. I back up and she gathered her boots up and walked out of the bunks. I saw Matt and Zacky standing up and ready to fight, Johnny was actually holding them back.
"And don't ever fucking come on this bus again!" I shouted at her from the doorway.
All the guys turned towards me, their eyes were popping out of their heads. Aubrey turned around and shot me a glare and I saw Zacky start to laugh and she snapped her head to look at him.
"Fuck you Zacky." She spat.
That just made Zacky laugh harder. Aubrey pulled her arm back to swing but Matt caught it.

"I don't think so. You heard Brian, get the hell outta here." He said coldly.
She managed to get free and started walking barefoot off of the bus. Then everything started to get fuzzy. I felt everything start to spin and I knew I was going down. Matt came over and helped me to the couch.
"Shit Brian, what happened?" Zacky asked.
I couldn't answer. I looked down at my arm and saw blood just pouring out of it. When did that happen? What did I get cut on? Oh yeah! The bottle! It must have cut me when it broke.
A few seconds later, Zacky rushed over and handed Matt a towel. Matt wrapped it around my arm tightly and I felt everything fade to black.
I must have passed out because when I woke up, I was in the hospital.
"Mr. Haner? Mr. Haner, can you tell me what happened?" A nurse asked me.
"The bottle." I mumbled.
The nurse looked over at Matt, who was sitting beside me. He just shrugged. The nurse sighed and started to stitch me up. When she was finished, I had 11 stitches on my palm and 20 stitches on my forearm. Matt sighed and rubbed the back of his neck.
"Man, what the hell happened? You didn't do this to yourself did you?" He asked me.
I rolled my eyes and shook my head.
"Seriously? Hell no. Aubrey hit me with a bottle of whiskey and it broke." I told him.
Matt let out a deep sigh.
"Good. That was too close man. I couldn't stand to lose you too." He said. I nodded and we did a guy hug.
"Do you want me to call Kate?" Matt asked me. I sighed and nodded.
"But wait a while, it's pretty late." I told him.
Matt nodded and stood up.
"I'm gonna go tell the guys you're gonna live." Matt said. I nodded again and sat back on the bed and closed my eyes. It wasn't long before I felt sleep pull under.

Starchild
“It’s life’s illusions I recall. I really don’t know life at all.” from the song, Both Sides Now, by Joni Mitchell Starchild is an adventure novel set within an understanding of reality that is rooted in Eastern spiritual traditions. It takes as its starting point experiments in remote viewing that were genuinely undertaken by the American military in the nineteen-nineties under the name of the Stargate Project. It then imagines how a more advanced attempt to weaponise the capabilities of consciousness might have been developed in the present day.The story then explores how Ultimate Reality might respond to such a threat.Deep, elemental forces thus bring together Samantha Martin and Sahadeva Varma, old colleagues from the Stargate Project, to avert the apocalyptic consequences of this military attempt to weaponise consciousness. This fast-paced story spans genres including romance, action, adventure, science fiction and more. Although this story is based on concepts drawn from established spiritual traditions, these have sometimes been extrapolated to the point of very extreme speculation for the needs of an adventure story.Much of the underlying philosophy, however, as explained in the dharma talks given by Samantha Martin, is paraphrased from the guidance of respected spiritual teachers. Scheduling: Starchild is a previously unpublished novel of one hundred thousand words which was serialised in weekly instalments over twenty-five weeks from 15th November 2021 to the 29th April 2022. Each instalment contains five chapters – an average of approximately four thousand words in each instalment. Midori
The sea of stars. The momentaneous lifeforms that flicker far away. Our futures — a sea brimming with light. Each and every shimmer in the starry canvas serves as one’s infinite opportunities in the vast sea of the future. The world, however, is far from the ideals of such a mantra. Complacency is the enemy of progress, yet to the four known nations, each one sees enemies around their borders. An example: A village isolated from the nation of Alkai prevents the lives of many from progressing. It’ll take a society, a group, even a whipped together rag-tag team to jump start the quest for progress. An escape from a motionless home—in order to search for a greater future, Mira approaches her blade in a new light. Any illustrations I use for covers and chapters are illustrations I have drawn myself unless otherwise stated.
