-THE NEXT DAY-

“God please! Can we get off this bus already!?” Kate groaned from the couch. Zacky laughed and took a drag of his cigarette.

“I’m serious! I just wanna get off this bus.” He laughed and tossed her his pack of smokes. She looked down at them, then to Zacky.

“Have one, it’ll calm you down a little.” She sighed and took one out and then he tossed her a Zippo and she lit it.

Kate took one drag and almost instantly felt better. She smiled and tossed the pack back to him. He nodded and they sat and smoked.

Not long after that, the bus pulled up to the hotel and parked in the back. Matt was waiting by the door. Kate smiled.

“Look! There she is!” He shouted.

Val was leaning against her car. Her blonde hair was down and she had sunglasses on. She was wearing a black tank top and denim skinny jeans. When the bus stopped, Matt ran out of the bus and went straight to her.

“Baby!” She shouted. He picked her up and hugged her. She was laughing and so was he. Then he set her down slowly. He put both his hands on her cheeks and kissed her long and passionately. Kate smiled from the window, and then went to grab her stuff from her bunk.

Val was hugging Brian when she got off the bus.

“Oh Val, this is our new photographer Kate.” Matt said. Valary smiled.

“It’s nice to finally meet you.” She said. Kate smiled and nodded.

“Same here.” Val put her arm around Matt.

“So, have you been taking care of my boys?” She asked. Kate smiled and giggled.

“Well I think it’s them who’ve been taking care of me.” Val laughed.

“Alright, we’re all checked in, let’s go.” Zacky said.

They all picked their bags up and went in the hotel. The guys had been given a penthouse suit for the week. When they got to the room, Zacky opened the door. They all filed in except Kate. She stood in the doorway with her mouth open. She had never seen a room like this in real life. Brian walked over to her.

“Are you coming in our what?” She blinked twice then walked in.

The room was almost bigger than her apartment. It had a huge full kitchen, then off of that was a giant living room with two couches and a big screen tv. It also had a big balcony that over looked most of Vegas. Kate couldn’t believe that this is where she would be staying.

“Okay, so me Val, Johnny and Jimmy will be in this room. And Zacky and Brian…and.” Matt stopped and looked at Kate, then to Brian.

“Looks like she’s staying with us.” Brian said. Kate looked at him and Zacky then they went in the room.

There were two huge beds and a bathroom in the room. To Kate, it looked like another hotel room.

“Alright babe, so who do you wanna sleep with?” Zacky said. Kate groaned and flopped down on the closest bed.

“I’ve got a better idea, Zack, you and I’ll share a bed and Kate can have her own.” Brian said. Kate looked at him and smiled.

“Are you sure?” She asked. Zacky nodded.

“Yeah why not. I mean the beds are so big anyway, it won’t really matter.” Zacky said. Kate smiled and snuggled into the bed.

It didn’t take much for her to fall asleep. Zacky and Brian quietly got up and left the room. Everyone else was sitting in the living room watching TV.

“Is Kate laying down?” Matt asked. Zacky nodded and Brian went on the balcony to smoke.

About an hour later, Kate woke up and took a much needed shower. She towel dried her hair and pulled on a pair of ripped up jeans and a t-shirt and left the room.

The balcony doors were open and Val, Matt and Jimmy were sitting out smoking. Johnny was sleeping and Zacky was watching TV. Brian was nowhere to be seen. Kate sat down beside Zacky.

“Where’s Brian?” She asked. He turned the channel and looked her way.

“He went for a run. He should be back anytime now.” She nodded and curled up on the couch.

Not too long after that, Brian came in and went straight to the fridge. He pulled out a bottle of water and downed the whole thing.

“Man go take a shower I can smell you from here!” Zacky said, pulling his shirt over his nose and Kate giggled.

Brian smirked and pulled his sweat covered tank top off and threw it at Zacky. He jumped and moved so he was sitting on Kate.

“Dude that’s disgusting!” Brian chuckled and bent down to pick the shirt up.

Zacky moved back to his original spot on the couch and Brian walked to the bedroom. Out of the corner of her eye, Kate looked at him. She knew he was muscular but wow. His body was perfect. Perfectly toned and tattooed. Brian caught her staring and he winked at her. She gasped and turned away fast. Her faced turned as red as a tomato. Zacky looked at her and chuckled. That earned him a pillow to the face.

A couple of hours later, Kate and Val were in the bathroom in her room getting ready. Val had curled her short blonde hair and put on thick black eyeliner and shadow and had painted her lips with bright red lipstick. She had on a red halter top with black frills on the bottom and a nice black skirt. Kate just straightened her brown hair and did her makeup very simply. As she was doing her hair, she noticed that the foundation Janet gave her was wearing off so she started putting more on. Val glanced at it and raised an eyebrow.

“That’s some heavy duty stuff there. Why do you use it?” Kate sighed and closed her eyes.

“Matt didn’t tell you?” She shook her head. Kate opened her eyes and rested her head against the wall.

“Well, before I left to tour with the guys, my ex boyfriend came over and beat the hell out of me. My face is still pretty messed up and so is my lower back.” Val’s hand flew to her mouth.

“Oh god, Kate I’m so sorry.” Kate smiled.

“It’s alright.” Val smiled and gently hugged her. Kate wiped the tear from her eye and they finished getting ready.

Kate ended up wearing a black off the shoulder top and red skinny jeans. Val went out to the balcony to have a quick smoke and Kate dug around in her bag for her pass.

“Shit.” She whispered and dumped her camera bag out onto her bed. Her pass wasn’t in there.

“Shit shit shit.” She pulled her hair and went into the living room. Brian was leaning on the counter, twirling something in his hand.

“Looking for something?” He asked. She looked over at him and sighed in relief.

“Yes.” She walked over and reached out to grab it, but he pulled it away.

“You know, you really shouldn’t leave this laying around. People would kill for this.” He said. She rolled her eyes and tried to grab it again, but again he was too quick.

“Brian come on I need that.” He chuckled.

“Say please.” Kate glared at him and crossed her arms. He dangled the pass in front of her face.

“Please?” She said through gritted teeth. He laughed and pulled it back.

“Say it nicely.” She took a deep breath and closed her eyes.

“Please Brian.” She said nicely. He smiled and handed it to her.

“See that wasn’t so bad.”

“Thank you.” She said with a smile as she put it around her neck. She turned around and went to have a cigarette with Val.

Brian watched her walk away. He couldn’t help watching her hips sway as she walked. He smiled to himself and went into his bedroom to change for the show.

Not long after that, Kate and the guys were back stage in a casino getting ready for the show. Val had a place in front of the barrier where Kate would be joining her later.

Janet was finishing up Johnny’s makeup and Kate was taking pictures of back stage. She still couldn’t believe that she was in Vegas. Everything was so sparkly. On stage now was a group of showgirls. They were wearing red leotards covered in feathers and sequins. Kate snuck some pictures of them while they were on stage. When they were finished, they danced off stage and went to their dressing rooms. Then it was time for the guys to set up. Kate left to get in her spot for the show. Chuck nodded as she walked across the stage. He picked her up and set her down at a table beside Val. She smiled and got her equipment ready.

The guys came out not long after and played an amazing show. They even got the show girls to dress up like rock and roll strippers and dance on stage. Kate took a lot of shots of that. When the show was over, Brian walked to the front of the stage and reached for Kate’s hand. She took his and he pulled her up. She smiled and went back stage with him.

“That was a great show you guys!” She said. They smiled at her and nodded. Then they went back to the dressing room to change.

Val had walked back by then and was sitting on a counter backstage. Kate was looking through photos on her camera. An hour went by before the guys came back out. Matt walked over and kissed Val on the cheek.

“Ready?” Val nodded and they left and went back to the hotel.

Once they got there, the guys got dressed up to go out. Even Val changed her outfit.

“You coming out with us babe?” Zacky asked, putting his arm around Kate. She shook her head.

“Not this time Zacky. I got some work to do.” He pouted and removed his arm.

“Your loss I guess.” She smiled and sat on the couch.

“We won’t be too long.” Matt said. Kate nodded and turned her laptop on.

Brian came out of the room and placed a fedora on his head.

“You would rather work then go out with us?” He asked her. She smiled and nodded.

“Yes because if I don’t work then I don’t get paid silly.” He half smiled at her and walked over to the rest of the guys.

“Have a good time!” She called to them. They mumbled things back to her and walked out of the penthouse.

“Alone at last.” She said with a smile once they were gone.

Kate did some editing for about a half hour then sent the photos to the guys manager. Then she called her dad to check in with him. She found out that Scott was going to jail for attempt of murder for 15 years at the most. That put her at ease.

After hanging up with her dad, it was around 2 am. Kate decided it was time to call it a night. Just as she was falling asleep, the light beside Zackys bed came on. Kate groaned and turned over so she was facing away from it.

Brian hit Zacky with his pillow and he shut it off.

“Sorry.” He whispered. Then they all fell asleep.
