We spent the next couple hours downstairs with his parents, we ate lunch and I washed the dishes as Colby caught up with his parents. "You don't have to do those!" Mr. Brock said as I started to wash the plates, "I know, but I want to. You guys are catching up, enjoy it." I smiled in his direction and he smiled back, "wow Cole, looks like you really won the lottery with this one." Colby smiled and looked over at me, "I know." They continued to talk about me and I pretended I wasn't listening as I finished the dishes.
Just before the sun set we went to go pick up Sam for the video. "Ready to X P L R coraaa?" Sam said as he got in the car. He sat in the front so they could film the intro. "I was born ready sammmmmmmm" he laughed as Colby drove to the warehouse. We had to run about a mile to be able to get to the actual warehouse so Sam and Colby filmed the intro once he parked.
"WHATS up guys it's Sam and Colby." Colby said and looked down, "today we are back in Kansas! And we brought the lovely Cora to come explore the warehouse with us." I waved and smiled to the camera, "yeah, we are back at our old stomping ground and we miss exploring and this seems like the only place we can do it without the fear of being caught." Colby said and Sam chuckled, "well the fear is still there but we know our way around the warehouse. We just have to be super careful."
They continued to talk as I bundled my sweatshirt sleeves into my hands. They finished their intro and looked back at me in the back seat. "Okay so before we get out of the car we have to explain some things to you. The neighbors will call the cops if they see us so we have to run through this huge field, but you have to keep going. Don't stop until we tell you. Okay?" Sam said and I nodded biting my lip. I was starting to get nervous about going to this creepy haunted warehouse.

We got out of the car and started running. We ran for what felt like forever, dodging mud puddles and running through the grass, I ran behind the boys, filming them. Colby would glance back every couple minutes to check on me, but I was keeping up, trying to film and run with them. The boys eventually stopped running and both of them messed with their hair, trying to catch their breath. Sam grabbed the camera from me and started to film us. "Alright guys, we are almost there." He said as I pulled my hair from the ponytail it was in. "You alright?" Colby said breathlessly and pushed a piece of hair behind my ear. "Yeah, you guys really know how to get me to do my cardio." I laughed and started to follow Sam along the dirt trail. The sun was almost set as we came upon the building. Graffiti plagued the walls and it looked completely gutted. "Welcome to the warehouse, Cora." Colby said and gestured to the building as we walked in. "It's uh...beautiful." I said and laughed. "Im glad you think that because uh forgot to mention...we are staying here overnight..." Sam said and panned the camera to my face. My eyes widened, "Wait what??" I looked over at Colby and it looked like he was holding his breath, "yeah...we can't leave until the morning." I felt my hands start to shake, "o-oh...okay yeah that sounds fun." I was trying to keep my voice leveled. "But if it gets to be too much, we can leave early.. our safety comes before the video." Colby said and wrapped his arm around me. I nodded and bit the inside of my cheek.
We walked around, looking at the graffiti, and just exploring the building, "dude it's changed so much since we have been here." Colby said and looked up, "yeah, we have to be more careful...it's older which means it's more deteriorated." I nodded and clasped my hand into Colby's. We never officially told the fans we were dating but I feel like most of them got the hint. "Hey, you're shaking are you okay?" Colby said softly and signaled for Sam to turn off the camera. "Yeah..I'm just a little freaked out. I feel heavier in here. I don't know. Don't worry about me, I don't want to ruin your video. "Cora, I care more about you than this video...if we need to leave, we will." He caressed my face with the back of his hand as he spoke. "I know, but please don't worry about me, I'm fine. It's just a little creepy that's all." He nodded and placed a gentle kiss on my forehead. "Okay Sam you can record again."

As we walked I felt a pull to this one room, the boys kept walking forward as I drifted to the left, looking around. I was lost in thought as I kept walking to the room that was pulling me to it, but before I could reach it I was yanked back by my waist. "Cora!" Colby yelled grabbing my attention. "What?" I was confused as I turned around, Colby was the one that yanked me back. "Don't go in that room...it's-" Colby started but was interrupted by Sam, "dude...maybe let's not bring that up." I shook my head, "no tell me, I need to know." Colby took a deep breath. "That's the murder room...people get murdered in there all the time.." his voice trailed off as a shiver ran down my spine. "Oh." I said and contemplated telling him about the pull I felt to that room.
I knew if I told him he would make us leave and it would ruin the video, but if I didn't tell him we could be in a lot of danger. "It's weird...I felt a pull towards that room...like I couldn't help but walk to it." I said and tried to turn to it but Colby's hands were still on my waist. "We should go..." Colby said and turned to Sam, "no it's okay! I don't feel the pull anymore. Maybe it was just the explorer in me." I said and put my hand on his face, forcing him to look at me. "Cora..." I shook my head and looked at Sam, "let's keep going." I said and started to walk away from the murder room.
We stopped filming for a little bit to set up a small camp in the middle of the warehouse. "I feel like we should come up with a plan if something happens." Sam said and pulled out three water bottles from his bag. "What do you mean?" Colby said as I pulled my legs to my chest. "I don't know, I'm just worried about other people coming in here while we sleep." I laughed, "IF we sleep" Colby pointed to me and chuckled, "she has a point." Sam laughed and threw the water bottles at us.
Just then we heard a large bang, causing us to jump. "What was that?" Sam whispered and we looked around. "Don't make any noises." Colby whispered and we just silently sat there, listening for any other sounds. After a couple minutes Sam had turned the camera on and was quietly whispering to it. I closed my eyes, listening.
The only thing I could hear was my heartbeat in my ears.
