Karl knew starry nights were beautiful, but he had never seen one that wasn't under influence of the city's light pollution.
"Do you like it?", Sapnap asked, spinning Karl around gently, before pulling him close.
Karl smiled and nodded. "It's really pretty."
Their noses touched and Karl felt how Sapnap gently swayed them to no music.
"I love you", he whispered and Sapnap smiled softly. "I love you too."
And then Sapnap gently placed his hands on Karl cheeks, lean in so close they almost kissed. Heard Karl gasp softly.
He felt how Karl wanted to close the distance, not made to endure the pain of waiting and the sensation of static tension.
"Please", Karl whispered and Sapnap smiled. "Please, what?"
"Please kiss me already", Karl replied, but Sapnap still kept the little distance, teased Karl with little touches.
"But you looks so pretty when I'm just about to", he leaned in so close that Karl gasped, lips almost touching, "kiss you"
And then Karl giggled nervously, no other way to get the giddy feeling to leave his body. "I'm sorry", he giggled and Sapnap sighed with a smile.
Karl was adorable.
Karl took a deep breath and leaned in again.
"Okay, go on", he said and now Sapnap bursted out laughing.
"What?", Karl asked and Sapnap replied: "I just think it's so funny how you went from laughing, to okay back to tension"
"Just kiss me already!", Karl then said, with a giggle swinging by in his voice.
"Okay, come here, cutie", Sapnap said, pulled him closer again and was about to kiss Karl, when suddenly Karl stopped him before their lips could touch.
"You're everything I want, you know that, right?", Karl asked quietly and Sapnap smiled. "I didn't know, but now I feel special."
Karl smiled. "Good. Now let's kiss before I start laughing again."
Sapnap chuckled and closed the distance between them. Gently kissing Karl under the stars of the night sky.
He tasted like pop soda, like jolly ranchers and a whole lot of love.

The Court of Souls?
What do we talk about tonight?~“How about a story?”~Fine by me. Which story? Hopefully a good one.~“There was once a lonely child in a world filled with myths, gods and demons. Only power counted there and the weak were worse than cattle. A world where survival of the fittest ruled.”~Was it strong then?~“No, but the child had a power. One that made him stand between light and darkness. Nothing could escape him, so he was shunned by his people.”~ What did he do? Did he fight his fate? Did he hide his power? What was it?~“Oh, he fought. He fought a lot. And no thing could escape his power. It was something that everyone had to live with.”~So he became a hero and changed the world?~»…”~Tell me.~“Nooo, that’s not how the story goes. This isn’t a story of a noble man, doing good amidst a sea of monsters. This is a story of a demon who was… kinder than the rest.”~A kind demon? How boring.~“I think it would be better if I tell the story, so you can judge for yourself.”~So tell the story!

Most of my motivation for the story will come from my experiences so despite this being a mainly Asia industry I hope cultural gaps don’t come in the way of readers enjoying my story. I love manga and anime and recently started reading web novels so I was inspired to write my own. Comments are greatly appreciated, thanks and enjoy the story.
